Upcoming books and shop restock!

Hey Guardians!

Happy New Year! I have so many things planned for this year, including six book releases! Buckle up because this newsletter is full of everything I have to share with you today, including shop restocks, and Shattered Souls news!

First things first, all US preorders have shipped as of last week. I am down to the last small batch of international preorders. Good news, my post office informed me that rates will drop next week. Orders guaranteed to ship by next Friday the 20th. Thank you so much for your patience. We will work hard to do better on delivery times with our next book box.

The GOTM white limited edition paperbacks are back! Shattered Souls LE releases January 17th, and this includes Divine Blood and Bonded Fate as well. All books contain my digital signature and come with a different bonus chapter not found in the exclusive hardback editions. The white paperbacks have been only on Amazon, but for the first time ever, they will be available worldwide. Meaning you will be able to purchase them online from BN, Waterstones, Book Depository, Books-a-Million ect.

Shattered Souls LE is loaded with 11 pages of artwork by Grace Zhu, Salome Totladze, Leah Fry, Nora Adamszki, Stella Colorado, and Sara Mirza. The bonus chapter is from Azulo’s POV and what he is up to with the Druid, plus it will have art on the interior cover in color.

What’s Next!

I can’t just mention six book releases this year and slide past that, can I?

First book release of the year will be Shattered Souls LE on January 17th

Then comes the Shattered Souls Audiobook on March 14th! ( I am planning a giveaway for this one 🎉)

King’s Bride releases May

Bonded Fate German Edition is next sometime in the fall.

Rising Dawn will also release late fall.

And finally, Shattered Souls German Edition comes out in the winter.

I am slowly making my way through having the GOTM series translated in other languages like Spanish and French. I would like to do all the languages if I can, but my recourses are limited. I am looking into foreign publishers now to help with the process.

Coming out this spring! I saw the final cover, and it’s to die for. Reveal next Tuesday, January 17th. I am so ecstatic about this book. What can I share with you? King’s Bride is book 1 in the Chronicles of Urn prequel series. It's NA fantasy romance and takes place in the same world as GOTM but in the past. It’s dark, gritty, Beauty and the Beast vibes, true enemies to lovers, and steamy. 🔥

Will there be an exclusive edition? YES!

I was bummed thinking that an exclusive wouldn’t fit in my schedule for this book, but @bookish_signs swooped in like a super hero to my rescue. 🥹

We are collaborating on an exclusive edition of King’s Bride available only in her shop. It will have a gorgeous alternate cover, my signature, sprayed edges, interior art, and art on the naked cover by @allexandracurte. Reveal next month!

Shop Restock

Now for the news the majority of you have been waiting for! 🎉

Mark your calendars and set your alarms. The shop will open for newsletter subscribers only this Friday the 13th at 12PM EST time. You will receive an email with a password to enter the store. Please do not share the password.

I have a handful of exclusive editions of Shattered Souls, Bonded Fate, and Divine Blood available for those who missed out. This includes a few book boxes and all the merch like Cassiel plushies, mugs, pins, booksleeves, and all the art.

I have limited quantities of everything, so please only one of each item and edition per person. If you previously received a plushie with your book box, please be kind and let someone else to have a chance to get one. 🙂

Phew, it’s going to be a very busy year. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. As I continue to face new challenges with each book I publish, my new goal for 2023 is to be more organized. With myself, my space, my writing, and my schedule. I felt like I dropped the ball a lot and I want to do better.

It means being disciplined and showing myself self care, staying on task with my writing so I meet my deadlines and don't repeat the issues I had with SS. I feel good about these goals and I have a good team behind me to make sure they happen. I’m looking forward to all the changes to come.

German Edition Release

It's here! Divine Blood releases for the first time in German today! Huge thank you to my lovely translator @melina.coniglio for helping this book be the best it can be and making sure I do things right. And thank you to @jaquelinekropmanns.coverdesign for designing such a gorgeous cover for this edition.

Available on Kindle Unlimited! We did something a little special with this paperback because it contains the Aim for the Stars artwork by @alicemariapoweron the inside of the cover in color! The paperback is in the process of being approved and should be up for sale in a few days.

Shop News and Shipping Updates

We have been making our way through Shattered Souls preorders and we are about halfway there. We hope to have the majority of orders out before Christmas.

This applies for international residents only: Shipping costs have doubled during the holiday season to the point we cannot afford to send boxes overseas. We are very sorry for this unforeseen issue. Our solution is to wait and try again in mid-January ship your orders. We will include an extra print for the delay. If you prefer to cancel, I understand and I am very sorry.

Because of this delay and higher shipping costs, I have decided to reschedule the restock drop for exclusive editions to January as well. I will have more info on the dates and times in my next newsletter.

There has been a lot of controversy with AI art lately and I wanted to make it clear that I don’t condone the use of AI software including but not limited to Midjourney and Artbreeder. I fully support artists and the hard work they put into their art. I will never sell or permit artwork to be sold of my characters using AI software.

Unfortunately, it’s come to my attention that the Dalton art I commissioned was made with AI. It was immediately removed from the shop and I issued refunds to everyone who purchased it. It’s a beautiful print and it would be a sad waste for them to end up in the trash, so I am giving them out for free with every print order made starting today, while supplies last. (One per person).

If you haven’t seen it yet, I revealed their character art over the weekend, illustrated by @morgana0anagrom. It’s to die for! I cannot get over how beautiful it came out.

King’s Bride is a NA standalone fantasy romance and true enemies to lovers. Blurb and cover reveal coming soon!

My next project is King’s Bride, Chronicles of Urn book 1! If you are new here or haven’t heard the news yet, the Chronicles of Urn is a prequel series that takes place in the same world as the Guardians of the Maiden. Each book is a standalone fantasy romance that takes place at different times and they recount the true story behind the legends mentioned in GOTM. Book 1 will be about Jokull and Sunneva!

Cover reveal and art reveal will be held in January. Release date is TBD. I am estimating Late April-May time.

I have been asked if I will offer an exclusive edition box for this series. I would love to do that but I honestly can’t due to my busy schedule. Doing boxes for the main series tends to take up a lot of my time especially around the end of the year. Doing another box would take away the time I need to write. BUT I will still do a great preorder gift with these books, and the hardcovers will have inverted chapter headers and beautiful artwork under the cover. Maybe I could do something special when the entire series is out. 💕

Shipping Updates & Ebook Issues

Hey Guardians!

How is your October going? It’s been a really busy month for me. I've been working on box stuff and I also have my kids home during fall break. It’s been hectic around here.

I am still waiting on some merch items to arrive from overseas for the Firelight box, but I have had a few unforeseen issues arrive with the exclusives and with some items.

The Bonded Fate exclusives unfortunately failed to meet quality inspection. I cannot in my right mind ship these to you in their condition. So I am ordering new books and sadly this will add more time to their expected delivery. I am very sorry. I take setbacks hard, especially with my books. I know everyone has been waiting. I will do my best to get your orders out to you as soon as possible.

I am one person handling over 500 orders while balancing home life, so it's been taking me a bit to sort everything. Thank you for being so patient with me! I promise it will be worth the wait.

Shattered Souls is here!

It’s finally here! Shattered Souls is unleashed unto the world! This book is packed with so much, you get three parts. A lot happens for Dyna and her Guardians. They learn and grow, amidst all of the chaos (that I put them through), and it's amazing to see how far it takes them. The pages are action packed, full of magic, and discovery, love, and of course, heart.

I enjoyed writing Shattered Souls very much (for the most part). It was definitely my biggest challenge, and not only because of the page length. I had to dig deep to really understand these characters and tell their story the right way. They are on an adventure of a lifetime, and I hope you enjoy the ride.

What’s Next

Now I can finally put all of my attention on the book boxes! As only one person ordering, packaging, and shipping, it can be a handful. My house is slowly starting to fill up with all the merch as it comes in.

The Firelight and Frost book box and Shattered Souls preorders are scheduled to ship between late October to November. Divine Blood, Bonded Fate, and print packs ship within the next few weeks if they were ordered separately. This goes for regular editions of Shattered Souls that were ordered from me.

New Release Date

Well, I got bad news but I also have some great news, too. If you have not received a notification from Amazon yet, Shattered Souls has been pushed back. The main reason being this book is LONG. Like over 700 pages long. I knew the books would get longer as the characters and the plot continued to grow, but I underestimated how much time this book would take to write. And after a talk with my editor, we realized it’s also going to take more time to edit.

I care about my readers and this story so very much. It deserves to be told right with the proper care, and unfortunately, that means a delay. To be honest, it’s made me sad because I take setbacks hard. But I had to come to terms with the fact that you can’t rush good things. As much as it saddens me to disappoint my readers, it would be much more unfair to publish a book that was not ready. I am very sorry and I hope you understand.

But you won’t have to wait too long. The new release date for Shattered Souls is:

September 27th Changes To Expect

All eARCS have been moved to the end of the month and book tours have been rescheduled for September. If you signed up for one, they will list the new dates soon.

The Firelight and Frost book box and Shattered Souls preorders will ship between October. Divine Blood, Bonded Fate, and print packs ship at the end of September if ordered separately.

Now For the Good News

🎉 I am releasing the first three chapters of Shattered Souls on August 30th, so keep an eye out for that email.

🎁 As a thank you for your patience, everyone who preordered and submitted their receipt on my website will receive an extra double sided print. If you placed a preorder through my shop the print will be included, so you don’t need to submit a receipt.

🔥And because I can’t help being a tease, I also released more teasers today on Instagram.
