It’s always a nice boost to look over new pieces and follow the colours and shapes to see what interesting journeys they may take me on.

Recently we were able to complete a raku firing which means this beautiful new work will soon be coming to the site for sale, but before it does, I would like to invite you to be among the first to view it!

Keep Peace And Compassion Close To Your Heart In These Trying Times

We are now nearly at the end of 2021

And while we look back on the year, it may be helpful to have a bit more inner peace. One way to do that is by bringing a little raku Buddha close to your heart.

Vases for Dancing To

It is nearly New Year’s Eve

Which means it’s time to get our dancing shoes laced up! Let’s take a look at some vases all about dancing!

Largely misunderstood And tucked away in some corner of the dance floor of history

Are a series of small plagues/pandemics that occurred in Europe from 7th century to the 17th century. One of the most well known of these took place in 1518 in France!

Footloose tells the tale of a pandemic that is now long forgotten – which is a good thing, for we’d all be envious that we got stuck living through covid instead of the Dancing Pandemic!

100 Reasons To Be Hopeful – A Project Hope Update

These days, it’s rare to get much in the mail other than bills or flyers.

I know when I receive a little package, letter or card of a personal nature it really brightens my day.

For this project, I am creating a simple postage-friendly talisman that I can mail out to people who want a little more hope in their lives or want to share some hope in the world.

I will send out one of these clay creations to a person that requests one and an additional 1-3 of them for the receiver to send out to one or a few of their contacts. In this way, together we can send out a little brightness and hope all over the world, bit by bit.

The first talismans are now created and we are in the process of setting up a site where people can leave hopeful messages to the recipients. It will also include a map, so we can see where in the world hope has been sent (only the city would be used as the location marker on the map).

This project is totally free to participate in.

I plan to put in $100 for postage costs to kick off the project, and may even leave a few of the talismans in various places.

You can subscribe to our newsletter to receive more information in January as to how you can participate in Project Hope and receive some hope in your mailbox or share hope with others.
