What #LoveCraftCountry taught me about Voodoo Dolls
If you’re reading or watching this, then you probably understand that there is someone out there that has made a voodoo doll in your image. And no, it’s not made of wax, or clay, or stuffed with straw. It’s not covered in hair, or blood, or seamen. This voodoo doll is plastered all over billboards, in shopping malls, on the packages of the food that you buy, and even in the stories that you hear and tell. Yes, the real human voodoo dolls are the pickaninnies, the jigaboos, and the zombies that plague modern day folklore. Very much like the physical doll, these images are tethered to our inner psyche and causing us pain and distress with every pinch of the needle. So, in this video, we’re going to talk about the power of images and the voodoo doll, and how they can have an adverse effect on you.
Where did the Voodoo Doll originate
First, let’s look at all the images that involve voodoo and voodoo dolls. We have Chucky, a nefarious spirit that hijacks a ritual from a Boker, and stuffs himself inside of a doll. Okay. Then, we have Queenie, the life-size, human voodoo doll from American Horror Story. And we can’t forget about the Maharaja from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. All of these images reinforced the fact that voodoo is bad, and that the doll is designed to trick nature and get people to bend to their will. People who create the doll, truly believe that the soul of the person they want to curse, will be tethered to it, and whatever befalls the doll, would also befall their victim.
Where did the Voodoo Doll come from?
But here’s the truth of the matter. The voodoo doll is not black, it’s not really magick, and guess what, it has very little to do with any traditional African religions. Voodoo, a terrible bastardization of Vodun, is a mishmash of many superstitious beliefs and prejudices. It was in the early 1900s where writers got together and started creating horror stories about Vodun practices and beliefs. Stories that set the precedent for the horror genre today. Many of these stories involve zombies, orgies, and demonic spirit possessions. This was done to degenerate many of the priest and practitioners of Vodun, and also to make a pretty buck. Africans were always viewed as savages. And telling stories about superstitious magical Negros was very profitable.
The History of Voodoo Dolls
In fact, many of these writers created their very own replication of Frankenstein, dismantling all the great, holy, and spiritual aspect of Vodun and replacing them with old rusty parts. Horrors stories about ghouls and monsters from all over the world, were somehow associated with Vodun and other African religions. In fact, it was the cunning folk in Europe who created some of the first voodoo dolls. They made them from wood and straw, and poked needles in them to keep witches at bay. Other witches in Europe made dolls of wax to control and influence lovers. While witch doctors in early China made small, diminutive dolls for light work and energy medicine. As you can see, virtually every culture had some type of magical doll. But thanks to good old fashion English pulp writers, the voodoo doll is mostly associated with evil and sadly with black magick.
The pickaninny Twins from Love Craft Country Episode Eight
This is one of the reasons why I am a big fan of Love Craft Country. For the first time in history, we see black magic being played out and it’s not some crazy black person doing it. In fact, the show hits some great points, by illustrating that racism is in fact, a form of a curse. We see this happening in season one, episode eight, where Dee, the daughter of Hippolyta and George Coleman is assaulted by two white police officers. Dee, grieving from her best friend who was murdered by police officers, and from her mother who had suddenly disappeared, is dumbstruck. She is then accosted and basically spit on by Officer Lancaster. From that point forward, she begins to see images. Images of two pickaninny girls, or jigaboos, who dance, frolic, and threaten to curse her with one single touch.
The Jigaboo and the Voodoo Doll
Now, it’s important to understand that our ancestors believed that twins were sacred. Twins represented both worlds, the world of the living, and the world of the dead. Or rather, the spiritual plane and the earthly plane. Or the waking state or the dream like state. I am sure that you get my point. So, in my other videos, I talk about how all magic and manifesting is done in the dream like state. When magic is done in the dream like state, there is this trickle effect where the manifestations happen almost instantaneously. People in the modern world would say that this is luck, or serendipity. So, in laymen’s terms, our ancestors believe that twins were incredibly lucky. Also, it’s important to understand that twins have a special connection or bond so to speak. They can feel each other’s pain. They can communicate telepathically across long distances.
The real meaning of voodoo dolls
Now, if you were a mad scientist like Dr. Frankenstein, you would argue that the voodoo doll is essentially a mini version of you, your twin. Or, in other words, a mini me. And while electricity was the driving force that brought Frankenstein the monster to life. DNA is the life force that animates the doll. I know, it sounds absolutely ridiculous, but science has proven that DNA can survive outside of the body. And we are well aware that entire species can be cloned. Now, when it comes to making an actual voodoo doll, the adverse can be true. Instead of creating a world of synchronicity and serendipity. You can create a world of hardship, terror, and destruction. You can control the doll so that your subject befalls a series of bad luck. Just look at Dee, within weeks, her father was killed, her mother had gone missing, and her best friend was maimed and brutally killed. Dee was a child, and had no control of her life. Much like the Vodun practitioners had no control over theirs’. Someone else was writing the script, controlling the narrative, and telling Dee exactly what kind of girl she was destined to be.
Understanding the Love Craft Country Twins
The Jigaboos, the hoochy mommas, and the pickaninnies are the modern-day voodoo dolls. They are used to reinforce certain ideals and negative perceptions about who you are. And the more that we see them, the more the message is reinforced. We’re haunted by them, until the curse takes full effect, and the image is realized. Then, we become like Frankenstein, a monster made out of replaceable parts. Our creators are ashamed, and afraid that we are going to rise up and strangle his loved ones in the night. So, the cycle continues, terrible imagery followed by horrific stories, and us believing the very worse about ourselves.
Voodoo dolls are images that can be used to curse an individual or a race or group of people within a society.

How to become a bad ass bruja? #TheOldWays
Brujeria, a Spanish word for witchcraft has deep roots all across Latin American and even the Caribbean. My long-time subscribers know that I spent a good amount of time and Mexico, and thus had the opportunity and privilege of exploring their amazing culture. In Mexico, there is magic in the air. However, very few people understand that underneath all the mysticism and mystery, they are destressed spirits, demons that seek to haunt and possess the people that live there. As a result of this, many people seek the help and services of a bruja to cast them out. So, in this video, we’re going to talk about Brujeria, and the making of a bruja, while analyzing The Old Ways movie on Netflix.
Understanding the Old Ways Movie
I spoke about the importance of ancestor worship in my other video, What His House taught me about removing a curse. In that video, I explained that there are many distressed refugees, who lost their homelands and are looking for a new place to call home. I also explained that colonization, civil wars, and genocides tore apart many countries in Africa. As a result, people are displaced and so are the spirits that we once called our ancestors. However, what I have yet to touch on, is the migration of Africans from Africa to the New World, in particularly Latin America.
Old Ways and the Ability to work Witchcraft
The movie The Old Ways, takes place in an old rural town, right in the outskirts of Vera Cruz. I supposed that the director, Christopher Alender understood the sacred power of some of the healing places and healing ruins in Vera Cruz Mexico. The main character, Cristina Lopez, played by Bigitte Kali Canales, was born there. And as a child, she witnessed her mother being possessed by some type of demon. A bruja is called, but the exorcism goes terribly wrong. The demon, in its efforts to escape, jumps into Cristina’s body. As a result, Cristina befalls a great deal of bad luck. She is separated from her family, placed to live in foster care, and seems to have an ongoing drug addiction.
Old Ways and Working with Ancestral Spirits
Now, what the movie does not delve into, is the background of Vera Cruz. Vera Cruz was actually a slave port, where millions of African slaves were transported. At one point of time, during Spanish rule, the number of slaves in Vera Cruz outnumbered Spanish. Also, the African Slaves, much like in the United States brought much of their culture and their knowledge of healing medicines. The brought to the America’s what many people would consider brujeria in the Latin Worlds. Now, it’s important to understand that the indigenous people of Mexico also had a vast amount of knowledge. Over time, they realized that if they worked together, they could over throw Spanish rule. So like in the United States and throughout the Caribbean, there was a synchronization of religions. Certain African gods were associated with Catholic Saints. And in Mexico, certain indigenous gods were assimilated into Catholicism.
The Old Ways and the ability to work with spirits
We understand that throughout the Caribbean and in some places in the United States, the African slaves actually met in secret to conduct their forbidden rituals. Many of these rituals were to converse with the ancestors, or to heal, or some cases, to even seek revenge. Sadly, the Spanish ruling class caught wind of these secret gatherings and then began their own smear campaign. Those who were caught worshiping old gods were deemed evil, whipped, and even burned. As you can see, these campaigns were incredibly powerful, because the stigma of being a witch is still prudent today. As result of this, a lot of people forgot about their old gods. And they lost contact with their ancestors. This posed to be a problem, because the spirits that the Africans brought to the Americas and the spirits that were already inhabiting the land, were still there. To make matters worse, many indigenous people and Africans alike would work with baneful spirits, thus making them stronger. They did this out of desperation, or to retaliate against a cruel master and unjust system. And so what you have is this huge surplus of demons, looking for a host. We saw this same concept play out in His House.
Understanding the types of spirits
However, in The Old Ways, it plays out differently. Cristina is a beautiful Latina who has worked hard to distance herself from her roots. She barely speaks Spanish, and she never even came to visit her family. Until, she is drawn back to the mystical ruins called La Boca. It is later in the movie where Cristina confides to her cousin Miranda, and she tells her that she came back to La Boca to die. Cristina is locked up and is forced to endure numerous and extremely painful exorcisms, performed by a witch who simply goes by the name of Luz. Cristina, hallucinates, while going through withdrawals, and sees the demon who had possessed her. It is an old spirit known as Postehki. It feeds on pain, and lures it victims back to Vera Cruz, in the ruins of La Boca so that it can devour their souls.
Understanding baneful magic
People fail to understand how destructive it is to destroy people’s cultures, religions, and their gods. When colonizers do this, they are essentially breaking those people down. And as a result, they become much like Cristina, a broken soul. And also like Cristina, broken people become very susceptible to baneful spirits. And the more pain that a person suffers through, the more the more baneful spirits they attract. So in the movie, The Old Ways, Cristina realizes that she has this demon inside of her. She thus decides to surrender and let the old bruja do her work. Luz is successful for the most part, exorcising the demon from Cristina. Only Luz, the bruja needed to sacrifice herself in the process.
Getting rid of evil spirits
In the next scene, we see that the baneful spirit Postehki, as jumped from Cristina to Miranda and thus finding a new host. Cristina doesn’t know what to do, since the bruja is dead and was the last person alive who could perform the rituals. This is when Cristina decides that she was always destined to become a bruja, and her calling was the exorcise spirits from within herself and from others. Cristina is successful. And thus the story ends with Cristina telling her boss Carson that he has a demon inside of him. She says that she’s not very good at getting them out, but with practice, she’s getting better.
The real meaning behind the word Bruja
Brujeria is all about being able to control spirits. This is why a lot of bruja are associated with death. Many of them have battled their own spirits. And like Cristina, overcame their demons, and thus are powerful enough to exorcise demons from others. While sadly, some are like Cristina’s mother, succumbing to the pain and allowing these baneful spirits to consume her soul. Others overcome their demons and become stronger as a result. Sadly, many people think that becoming a bruja is all about reading books, becoming one with nature, and studying spells. In truth, becoming a bad ass bruja is all about mastering the darkness inside or yourself as well as others. So, if you want to become a bad ass bruja, you have to master shadow work. I go over shadow work in various details in my other videos. But here, suffice it to say, that you must face the demons inside of you that are prohibiting your growth.

Manifesting methods that will change your life completely #PixarSoul
I think that many of us are like Joe Gardener, from Pixar’s Soul. We are told that we must live, eat, and breathe our passion. We must master it, in order to be great. So, we compromise and sacrifice, all for the moment when we get our big break. Yet, the big break never happens. Or, worse your big break is not as exciting as you thought it would be. Then, you’re underwhelmed, even feeling lost, because you sacrificed so much, chasing a dream, that doesn’t bring you any joy. In truth, you don’t really need to work that hard to manifest your dreams. All you need to do is get into the flow state. In this video, I am going to show you how.
How to start manifesting
I’ve mentioned in other videos, the importance of the dream like state. In fact, I wrote that all manifesting and magic happens in the dream like state. In my other videos, I beat your ear up on how our ancestors viewed the world differently. They believed that the dream like state was just as important as the waking state. So, if you were someone who dreamed about being a musician, you could go into an altered state of consciousness and be a musician. If you had a crush on someone and couldn’t be with them in the waking world, you could go to sleep and be with them in the dream world. In fact, you can do anything that you can possibly imagine in the dream world, or in an altered state of consciousness. In the dream like state, you’re able to enter the great beyond, or the great before. By doing this, you can encounter spirit guides, astral travelers, and shift through millions if not billions of parallel worlds. We can do this, through a process that is known as entrainment.
What are the steps to manifesting
Yes, Joe said it best, when we get into our flow, we can reach this incredible euphoric high and take everyone who’s listening with us. This happens because everything that is in our grand universe vibrates at a certain frequency. And each frequency has Its own sound with varying decibels. Now, the sounds may be so subtle that you cannot hear them, but in some cases you can feel them as vibrations. Colors have sounds, emotions have sounds, and yes your very thoughts have sounds. And the sounds become higher or lower, based on how close the decibels are to one another. Loud jarring music means that decibels are so close together that they are almost on top of one another. While low music means that the decibels are very far apart. When we start to get into the flow, or into the zone, our vibrational frequencies increase to a point where we are at our highest level of consciousness. Also known as the I am presence. This is a state of mind, that is also known as the flow state. Being in the flow happens when we are in an altered state of consciousness. For many of us, it feels like a trance. We have laser focus and can achieve things that we’ve only imagined or dreamed about.
Best manifesting methods
It is in the flow state, where all of your dreams materialize, unraveling right in front of you, and for all the world to see. And the beauty about being in the flow like state, is that you can inspire others. Inspire, which means, in spirit, is your ability to raise your vibrations so high while being in the flow state, that others on a lower frequency entrain and match your vibration. As a result, your vibrations get lifted to the same frequency as theirs. There is a reason why you like a certain artist, or movie, or actor, or sports star. You like them because of a little something that it called resonance. And so when you watch them, you feel their passion, their emotions, and their soul and spirits. You liked them because when they sing, or dance, or paint, they pull you into their own flow state. And as a result of you being in this flow like state, you feel that same euphoric high, or that same feelings of exhilaration as them. Afterall, we all have movies that we can watch over and over again. We all listen to music because the artist or songstress makes us feel a certain way. This happens because we entrain, and thus match the vibrational frequency of the person in the flow like state.
Best manifesting techniques
This is why the concept of spirit guides are so important to many spiritualists. In the movie Soul, the spirit guides were called mentors. Their job was to create a spark in brand new souls. This allowed the souls to have complete personalities before reincarnating to planet earth. Furthermore, it gave them their first initial spark of inspiration, in spirit, thus giving them a taste of that euphoric trance that they will be made to follow while living their lives on earth. Yet, we see that some people get completely lost, where the quest to feel that euphoric high becomes an obsession, and as a result, they become a lost soul. Now, I believe that lost souls, are untethered from the spiritual realm. Their desperation to get into the flow like state, results in them settling for cheap thrills and raunchy pleasures. But hey, Soul is a family movie. And they needed to keep things Disney friendly.
Efficient manifesting methods
So, if you were to watch this movie, you’d find that Joe finally gets his big break. An old student of his, calls him up, and offers him the opportunity to play for a with jazz legend, Dorothea Williams. Joe auditions, goes into the zone and impresses Dorothea so much that she offers him a gig. Joe is ecstatic and is so unfocused, that he falls down a pothole and dies. The screen changes where Joe is now a soul and is in the process of being transported to the great beyond. Yet, Joe can’t die yet. His life is just getting started, and thus he devises a plan to get back to earth to, uh, re-inhabit his human body. With the help of Soul 22, he is able to locate mystical hippies, who help him find his soul. But, in a weird mix up, Soul 22 inhabits Joe’s body, and Joe’s soul, inhabits the body of the cat. Then, there is a wild goose chase around the city of New York, as Joe tries to get his body back to play for Dorothea Williams.
Manifesting methods that work
To make a long story long, Joe fulfills his dream of playing for one of the Jazz greats. The only problem is, he is underwhelmed. It just wasn’t how he’d thought that it would be. Once the initial spark was gone, he was back to his plain old self. And yes, we’ve all been there before. We chase after a man or woman in a relationship, only to realize that they are not what we thought they were. We long to have that dream job, or dream business, only to realize over time that we hate it. We long to buy that new car or dress, enjoy it for a couple days, and then we just get bored. This happens because we attached the flow state with certain people, or to certain items, or even certain accomplishments. We feel that if we hold off, that one day, we’re going to get a huge pay off, and experience this ultimate euphoric high that is going to last forever. But, it never happens, because we never learned how to tap into our power, and to control our own energy so that we are to reach those epic energy highs, without all the physical attachments.
Manifesting methods for love and money
So how do you start? You start by getting into a trance. If you want to manifest a mate, start thinking about the times when you were in love. Think it about the honeymoon phase, and how you felt. Soon, those memories will crystalize, and you will begin to feel those emotions all over again. As a result, your vibrational frequencies will increase and thus you will attract a better batch of people into your life. Do you want to attract more money? Well, just think about the times when you had money, think about how good it felt, how powerful it made you feel. Your memories, thoughts, and emotions, get you into the flow like state. In this state, your imagination is powerful, and everything feels real. This enables you to feel the euphoria that you desperately crave, while manifesting all that you desire as well. Me? I no longer try to manifest love, or money. Instead, I focus on how I feel. Yes, I just put an emphasis on feeling good, and I love to write, paint, and walk to get into the flow state. And truthfully, that’s enough for me. I don’t focus on the outcome, I just focus on the feelings, and that seems to satisfy me. But hey, everyone is different.
The best manifesting method is getting into the flow, where all your desires can be realized!

How does shadow work, work during Lucid Dreaming #The Purge
Purge and purify, purge and purify. I avoided watching The Purge franchise for quite some time. I can’t lie, I did watch the very first one, but after that, I kind of lost interest. The Purge reminded me of Saw, and how it started off really good, but just tapered off towards the end. Then, boredom seeped in and I found myself watching Purge Election Year. And that’s when I got it. Now, if you’ve watched any one of the movies in the franchise of Purge, you would think that it was a movie about American society, indulging in one night of mayhem, murder, and misery, at least for some people. However, if you were to do a deep dive, you’d realize that the purge represents a collective nightmare, a dreamlike state of horrors that we all share, and in short, work to purge. While The Purge works to cleanse the underbelly of society, nightmares and shadow work, seeks to cleanse toxicity from the body and mind. I am going to explain to you how in this video, so please stay tuned.
Is Shadow work dangerous
The Purge wasn’t the first movie to explore the collective unconscious mind. It was the legendary Stephen King who wrote the first novel about a waking nightmare. The Shining is a classic horror story of how a haunted house could creep in and corrupt a sane mind. The ghosts, or spirits of the hotel, represent the voices and the memories that we inherit from the ancestors, or the collective unconscious mind. I go off on a major bitch rant in my lucid dreaming videos, about how people like you and me are cut off from nature. No, not living off the grid nature. We are cut off from our human nature. Much like Jack Torrance, our minds have split, and we can no longer determine what is real from what is imagined. In truth, we can no longer determine who we are, as opposed to what society wants us to be.
Shadow work and the effects of trauma
Besides, we’ve all heard about soul contracts, soul groups, and destinies. Our ancestors believed that we decided to come to earth to fulfill a certain mission or fulfill a contract that we made with the great divine before reincarnation. But sadly, we get side-tracked. We get lost in the noise, and all the distractions that have come to be commonplace in the modern world. Or in a really bad situations, our lives are used to fulfill the destiny and dreams of others.
Yet, at nighttime, your soul remembers, and works to remind you of your mission through your dreams and yes, even your nightmares. Let’s take a look at Charlize Roan, also known as Charlie, from The Purge Election Night. As a young girl, she was imprisoned by a purger, and thus forced to watch her mother, father, and brother die. As a result, she is running for office, vowing to end the purge once and for all. Her adversaries, a group of elites who are also known as The New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) views Charlie as a threat. As a result, they revoke immunity for government officials, and that includes senators like Charlie Roan. And thus, plots to assassinate her on purge night.
The Purge Election Year, is a collective nightmare
The movie progresses with Charlie being attacked by a group of militant soldiers, who look like white supremist to me. And it continues with her escaping into the night, to battle the purgers who peruse the streets, looking to unleash their wrath and fury on innocent and unfortunate bystanders. Then, there is a series of unruly deaths, mad men with screaming victims strapped to their cars, people being beheaded by a guillotine, and a search and rescue team, helping people in need. With all the sensationalism, gore, and chill, you would think that this movie is really about cheap thrills. However, this movie has some depth. For one, our bodies and mind go through a purge and it doesn’t just happen once a year. It happens every day in your dreams.
Shadow work and lightwork
You see, your body only has so much energy. So, it needs to prioritize how that energy is going to be used. As a result, it purges, destroying thoughts, emotions, memories, and yes even bacteria that is harmful, or not useful to the body. But with the inundation of information and also toxic energy and thoughts from the collective unconsciousness, we take on far too much energy. This makes it difficult for our body to perform a good purge. As result, the negative energy works very much like a cancer cell, hiding out, working like a sniper, taking out other healthy cells in an organ, until the whole body is riddled with disease. Your nightmares are indeed an indicator of the battle that is raging withing your body and soul. Do you have dreams that someone is chasing you? Do you have dreams of falling? Do you have dreams of being attacked? These dreams all mean something. And yes, it means that you may be manifesting some of your worst memories and suppressed emotions. However, it also means that the battle between good and bad is waging inside of you, and guess what, the bad is winning. Or, in other words, the shadow is winning.
Shadow work explained
The shadow, or the shadow side of self is a psychological term for everything that we can’t see within ourselves. The shadow can also be considered the dark side of self, mostly because it contains primitive instincts, negative human emotions, and impulses like rage, envy, greed, selfishness, and the lust for power. In other words, the shadow self is our disowned self. And develops as a result of us forfeiting a specific need in order to gain approval, acceptance, or pleasure. We learned that we get more respect and validation when we make more money, even if we had to lie cheat and steal to get it. We learned that if we dress provocatively, that we will attract more attention from men, even if it is the wrong kind of attention. We learned that if we lie to women, we could have sex with them, even if we leave them hurt and bereaved in the end. Our mind splits and we develop a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide personality disorder, where the dark side will rise up and destroy everything that the good side has achieved.
Shadow work and healing
The dark side is the false identity that many of us take on. This happens when the conscious mind goes on autopilot and the shadow part of us takes complete control. This is when we lose sight of who we are, and start behaving in ways that give us instant gratification as oppose to happiness and contentment. Inside, the war is still raging, where the body and mind is purging more and more of the authentic self. The body does this, until the bad is able to take over, and thus live a life that is fixated on lust, power, and greed. We lose ourselves in this battle, forgo our purpose and destiny and instead settle for a life of cheap thrills and pleasures. Yet, the good part of us isn’t completely dead. It’s still fighting for its life, and you will dream about it, or some cases suffer through nightmares so that you can get back on track. However, the dream state is the best time for you to finally defeat this enemy. You can do this by being aware that you’re dreaming, and then set out on your own purge.
The benefits of lucid dreaming
I believe that the dream like state is the most powerful time to do any shadow work, manifesting, and magick. Naturally, it is important to understand that in order for us to manifest our desires, or to fulfill our life purpose, we must always purge. Sounds harsh to anyone who is into toxic positivity. However, our bodies naturally purge, our white blood cells work tirelessly to destroy bacteria that is foreign and threatens the body. Waste and other harmful bacteria leave the body when we urinate and defecate. And our minds work to purge toxins at nighttime. However, we must aid the body, by completing a mental detox. And sleep, during lucid dreaming is perhaps the best time. Many of our bodily functions have shut down, enabling us to do some spring cleaning. I had my own little episode of deep cleaning while dreaming. While I was in the dream like state, I could see residue, or dark and sticky matter leaving my body. It evaporated into the air like a thick smoke. And ever since then, I made it a practice to do some spring cleaning. As a result, I am incredibly focused. And more importantly, negative energy doesn’t stick to me like it once did.
How to lucid dream tonight
Once you’re able to take control of the dream, you can start to rid your mind, body, and soul, of all the repressed and bottled up emotions and memories. You can fight them, beat them back to the recesses of the collective unconscious mind. Or, you just become stronger. You can become so strong that you become almost immune to the negative entities and memories that pervade the mind. I believe that this was the case in The Purge Election Year. Charlie was adamant on letting her enemies live. She had so many opportunities to kill them, especially after they tried to kill her. Yet, she truly believed that if she killed her enemy, she would in turn, succumb to the dark side, her shadow self would win, and she would lose herself completely. Also, she would lose sight of everything that she had been fighting for. So just remember, you can never let your shadow side win.
You can reveal and fight the darkness that plagues your waking life, by shedding light on your shadow while lucid dreaming.

The dangers of lucid dreaming and the effect that it has on the human mind
Do you all remember this clip from Nightmare on Elm Street? For those of you who are very young and don’t remember or don’t know the burnt face pedophile, his name is Freddy Krueger. He preys on teenagers’ fears and kills them in their sleep. Now, why I am talking about good old Freddy and nightmares? I am talking about him because your nightmares actually mean something. They represent a deep-seated fear or suppressed emotions that can be cured and addressed through, you guessed it lucid dreaming. So, in this video, we’re going to talk about the dangers of lucid dreaming, and how you can change those horrific nightmares, into amazing dreams. Stay tuned.
Danger of lucid dreaming
In part one of this lucid dreaming series, I talked about Louise from Netflix hit romantic thriller series, Behind Her Eyes. I explained how powerful the dream like state was to our ancestors. I also explained how manifesting and magick of all sorts must take place in the dream like state. However, I didn’t cover the concept of a split mind. When we think about a split mind, we think of someone who has gone completely mad. We think of people who can’t tell the difference between what’s real from what is imagined.
Is lucid dreaming dangerous
In truth, many of the people who we believe to be mad, can be considered by some, to be very sane. In fact, they are suffering from hallucinations and even delusions, because they bridged the gap between the unconscious mind and the conscious mind. As a result, both worlds merge, where a person can’t tell the difference between reality and fantasy. For mystics, enlightened scholars, and even demigods, this is a great thing. For daydreaming allows them to manifest amazing things. But for people with pre-existing sickness and mental malware, they can devolve into madness and be harmful to others and even themselves. In truth, the waking dream can become a frightening reality in which one can never really escape from.
Can lucid dreams be dangerous
In part one, I also talked about the collective unconsciousness. The collective unconsciousness is a term that was coined by the legendary psychologist Carl Jung. Jung believed, much like our ancestors that all humans were indeed interconnected. So much so, that we share memories, emotions, and instincts through a congenial brain that he called the collective consciousness and the collective unconsciousness. So, when we sleep, we tap into the congenial brain that all humanity shares, and start to download information, or in really extreme cases, malware. As a result, our minds are riddled with negative thoughts and emotions. And in many situations, these emotions and memories are not our own.
Can lucid dreams harm you
We inherit them from our ancestors or through Carl Jung’s explanation, we receive information from the collective unconsciousness. Many people fail to realize that your brain, much like your computer or cell phone, makes a great deal of updates at nighttime. This happens because your body shuts completely down so that a skeleton crew of workers can work on the body and mind without interference. This skeleton crew would often sift through the brain, throwing out content that is not useful, and keeping content that is. Sometimes we have far too much content that our bodies have to sift through. As a result, the brain gets clogged and cluttered with negative emotions and thoughts that aren’t completely your own.
Is dream walking dangerous
This results in you having ideas or visions, that seem very foreign. Or having ideas that don’t really feel like they are your own. In the waking world, we may want to do something wicked and evil, and you really don’t understand why or how. Jack Torrance wanted to drink and later kill his entire family. And Louise wanted to have a forbidden affair with her boss, David. People may want to lash out and abuse loved ones and family members. This happens because the memories from our ancestors stick to the body and mind like a residue and as time goes by, they become so strong, that you feel like you have to take some kind of action in order to stop them. And sadly, in many cases, the action is harmful and even destructive.
Can lucid dreaming cause insanity
Now, I mentioned before that when you sleep, your body also goes into sleep mode. Your mind is taken over by a skeleton crew that managing the activities of the mind body. However, I have yet to mention that much of the information, or the lessons that you learn from the waking world are crystalized during the dream like state. What do I mean by this? Well, have you ever studied and went to sleep and learned that you have a much better grasp on the material the next morning? Have you ever been stuck on a problem or hit a road block, only to fall asleep, wake up, and find the problem resolved? This happens because much of the problem solving that we partake in is done using the subconscious mind, and not the conscious mind.
Does lucid dreaming affect you in real life
However, things can get really shaky when the subconscious mind has way too much information to process. As a result, the brain creates glitches in the system, where undesirable thoughts and even memories are reinforced. This results in phobias, or other deep-seated fears that may seem irrational. Afterall, it was the burnt face man Freddy Krueger himself, who set about to torture people in their dreams. Only, Freddy was feeding off of their worst fears, creating nightmares that drained his victims of their life force, and thus weakening them to a point of death. I believe that Freddy Krueger is analogous to the negative thoughts that clog our brains. These thoughts manifest as nightmares in our sleep, and even plague our waking world. As a result, these thoughts become so strong that they rob us of our ashé, chi, or life-force. They block us from achieving our dreams and fulfilling our destinies. And in most cases, we become completely undone when we unconsciously manifest the nightmares that manifested from our dreams.
Does lucid dreaming have negative effects
Many people talk about the common dangers of lucid dreaming, night terrors, nightmares, and of course, sleep paralysis. However, many of these people are nearly treating the symptoms and not the underlying problem. The underlying problem in my opinion is that we take on way too much stimuli. Just think about all the information that we’re forced to consume daily, between advertisements, Facebook ads, banner ads, click bait, and television commercials. Naturally, we can’t process all of this information, so we throw it our junk folder, which can also be considered our subconscious mind.
Lucid dreaming and manifestation
Only problem is that we’ve become hoarders, with tons and tons of trash that is literally burying us alive. The trash manifest as nightmares, interrupts our sleep patterns so that we have night terrors, and even cause disruptive sleep patterns, which results in sleep paralysis. What’s the solution to all of this? You have to clean your mind! More importantly, you need to keep your mind pure and clean. I know, it’s easier said than done. However, in the next video, I am going to show you how you can purge all of that junk in the mind and began to have better episodes of manifesting and lucid dreaming.
Lucid dreaming can be dangerous when the subconscious mind is overworked and overloaded with too much stimuli. This can cause one to have nightmares, night terrors, and sleep paralysis.

Warning: Why losing control is one of the biggest dangers of lucid dreaming. #Behind Her Eyes
I think that it has happened to all of us. We felt like we’ve met the man or woman of our dreams, only to find out that they have a boyfriend, or girlfriend, or worse, they’re married. Why does this happen? How can the universe or the ancestors be so cruel? Then, there are days where you have to endure this internal struggle between your primal desires and your civic duties. The primal part of you wants to rip his clothes off and not worry about the consequences. Yet, the evolved and more enlightened part of you, knows that’s a mistake. You want to forget about him or her, but it’s so hard. It’s hard because you hardly meet people who you have a strong connection with. And that’s when you start to panic. You feel like you might be alone for the rest of your life. However, we never take the time to realize that we created the dream guy, the attraction, and the pre-existing relationships that came along with it. In the end, we have to learn that the biggest danger of lucid dreaming, is not being in control. So, in this video, I am going to explain to you to how avoid heartbreak and disappointment by taking control of your dreams.
What is lucid dreaming good for
People often write me off, saying that magic and manifesting doesn’t work. And sadly, in many cases, that’s true. It doesn’t work because many of these practices, paganism and otherwise were created in an entirely different world. What do I mean by that? I mean that many of the rituals that we try to recreate, predate, Christianity. And all though a great deal of the rituals have survived, the mind-set that are ancestors' had when they created the rituals, dwindled. Our ancestors were people of the earth. They believed that we were all interconnected. And most importantly, they believed that the dream like state was far more powerful than the waking state. In fact, most shamans conducted their rituals in the dream like state, or altered state of consciousness. And some were even able to do remarkable things, such as control the weather, cure a sick child with medicinal herbs, and even curse their enemies with just the flicker of the eye.
What is lucid dreaming and what is it good for
Now, all of these things sound so bizarre. But yet, it’s all possible in the dream like state. In fact, in the dream like state, you can be whoever, and whatever you want. And in truth, you are the most powerful when you’re dreaming. And, I truly believe that ALL magic and manifesting happens in the dream like state. And part of the reasons why people fail to manifest, is because they have a hard time navigating and controlling the dream like state. Or, they have a whole bunch of crap that is stored in the subconscious mind. Let’s just take a quick look at Louise from Behind Her Eyes. She is a young mother, clinging onto the only person who she loves, her son Adam. She is vastly afraid of losing him, like she lost others, which is hinted in her dreams. And thus endures terrible nightmare that ultimately become dangerous.
Dangers of lucid dreaming and Carl Jung
Now, the first thing that you have to understand is that the dream like state is far more powerful than the waking state. It was our ancestors who believed that all humankind was interconnected, body, soul, and spirit. And while we were raised to believe that we all have individual minds, we in fact share one congenial mind. This allows us to constantly receive messages and information from the ancestors. And, in in extreme cases, receive signals that are painful and disheartening. Our ancestors understood the concept of the congenial mind and the law of one that connects all human beings. As a result, they engaged in rituals and spiritual practices to cleanse the mind, body, and spirits of negative thoughts. However, it was Carl Jung, a renowned psychologist and scholar who brought the concept of congenial thinking to the modern world, by coining the term, collective unconsciousness and collective consciousness.
The effects of lucid dreaming on the brain
The collective unconscious is a congenial brain that we all share. And when we sleep, or dream, or go into an altered state of consciousness, we connect to it. While we are sleeping, tons of malware can be downloaded into our subconscious mind. This malware can manifest as nightmares, night terrors, or desires that are deeply suppressed. With this programing, we then go into the waking world, and subconsciously attract virtually all the horrors that we dreamed about in our sleep. Louise suffered from infidelity and as a result, was still badly wounded from her failed marriage. She then manifests a man who is also in a failing marriage, and conjured a connection that is so strong, it’s difficult to resist. The pain intensifies, when she realized that her ex-husband has moved on. He has found happiness with another woman, will soon be welcoming a new baby, and wants Adam to be a part of his new life. Louise’s ex-husband seems to be moving on. While Louise, feels stuck, while still struggling with old feelings of being abandoned and neglected.
What happens to the brain during lucid dreaming
Our ancestors would have said that all of the negative thoughts that Louise was experiencing was the result of bad spirit that had taken a hold of her soul. In the Western world, we can equate this to malware, or a virus that pervades and destroys the entire computer system and thus the mind. Sadly, our ancestors had ways to banish the spirits or chase away negative thoughts and memories. Their technique would be to unplug the victim from the collective unconsciousness. And plug them back into the collective consciousness. Sounds easy, right? However, it’s much more complicated than that. Especially when the brain remains fully in control and not the heart. What do I mean by this?
What does lucid dreaming to the brain
Well, our heart is stronger than the brain. But sadly, with Western thinking, we have allowed the brain to take control of the heart, and the entire body. Only the brain can’t be tamed. As a result, the heart craves intimacy, love, connection, and companionship. But the Brain tells the heart that it cannot have any of those things because they cause a great deal of pain. And thus, the cycle begins with the heart needing love, and the brain denying the love, because of the fear of pain. David and Louise have a magnetic attraction. And they work really hard to pull away. They both understand that the attraction will cause a great deal of pain. Yet, the heart’s demand for love supersedes any rational thinking or potential societal repercussions.
Is lucid dreaming bad for the brain
The key is giving the heart what it needs. And thankfully, you can do all of this through lucid dreaming. In fact, many monks have perfected this practice, by immersing themselves in dark caves for weeks and even months at a time. They confront all of their worse fears that come along with being alone and in the darkness, and then, they drift. This is when they realize the power of the heart. They can generate all the feelings of being in love, without physically being in love. Why? Well because the mind can’t tell the difference between something that is real, from something that is imagined. So, instead of the mind being in control, sending out a great deal of signals and commands to the heart. The heart takes controls and send the signals to the mind. As a result, the fear that is associated with intimacy and love dwindles.
The effects on lucid dreaming on the brain
Your heart is connected to the collective unconsciousness and the collective consciousness. Your heart holds all the memories and even the pain of your ancestors, and your heart knows how to heal itself. All we have to do is get out its way to allow it to take over the reins. The easiest way to get started is sleep with rose quartz under your pillow. The rose quartz is great for opening the heart chakra and welcoming the feelings and emotions of love.
The dangers of losing control of lucid dreaming can cause nightmares, night terrors, and you manifesting all the wrong people into your life. The key is to take control of your dreams, by unleashing the tremendous power of the heart.

From Goddess to Beldam Witch: Why Good Witches turn bad
It’s no wonder why witches have such a bad name. The indoctrination starts in early childhood, where virtually every villain, or villainess is a vane, mean, washed up witch. There was the Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella, the highly conceited Evil Queen in Snow White. The wicked witch Evillen in The Wiz, and we can’t forget Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Not to mention that there are all the horrific tales of witches turning evil, and ugly, and demonic. They started off nice, vowing that they would never curse, hex, or bring harm to other individuals. But once they get a taste of power, they just get turned out. Next thing you know, they’re unrecognizable, even to themselves. They’ve fallen off of their path and can’t seem to understand why they lost everything including: their families, friends, money, and even their beauty. Truth be told that magic when used ineffectively can drive good a woman mad. And the sea witch Ursula, paints the cautionary tale of how magic can you destroy even the holiest of souls.
Ursula the Sea Witch
Ursula by far is my favorite villainess, second only to the Evilene from The Wiz. I like Ursula because she is not conventionally pretty. In fact, she is a big and beautiful woman, and she seems to be proud of it. Also, I liked Ursula because she seems to represent all the women who don’t have the privilege of being beautiful. Women, who don’t have pretty privilege have to find other ways to gain power, and in some cases, fame. However, they have to be careful not to step on the toes of men, while doing so. And this my friends was Ursula’s problem. She was born bright, bubbly, smart, and witty. Yet, she was plain and knew that she wasn’t going to amass a great deal of fame or fortune through marriage. Instead, she used her charms to win over her ancestor Poseidon. Poseidon couldn’t let Ursula rule over the entire Atlantica Kingdom, after all he promised his heir King Trident that he would have that honor. So, they made a truce, they would each have equal parts of the sea. And both King Trident and sea witch Ursula would be able to perform magic. King Trident would have his magic trident of course, and Ursula would have her magic seashell.
Real witches have a great deal of power
But Ursula wasn’t happy with this arrangement. So, she devised a plan to replicate King Trident’s magical trident, with the intentions of robbing him of all of his power. She was somewhat successful, until she was caught and banished to the underbelly of the sea world. Alone, isolated, and almost going mad, Ursula befriends two eels who later become her beloved pets and trusted companions. Over time, the eels become her eyes and ears and began to do her beckoning. They worked to lure merfolk into Ursula’s underground pit. It is here where she performs her magic, concocting potions and casting spells. She made unfavorable deals with mermaid and mermen, enslaving their souls and entrapping them in her own horrific garden of lost souls. In her madness, Ursula planned to create a huge army of sea urchins, and use this army to overtake the Atlantica palace, taking down King Trident once for all.
Ursula is the best witch in fairy tales
However, she comes across an amazing opportunity when she learns that Ariel, king Trident’s favorite and youngest daughter has fallen in love with a human prince. She then devises another self-serving plan, where Ariel would be allowed to be human for three days. While she’s is human, she must convince the Prince to kiss her. However, it can’t be just any old kiss, it has to be a true kiss of love. And No, Ariel can’t use her beautiful voice to win him over. Instead, she will only be able to use her looks. And if Ariel fails at getting the Prince to fall in love with her, her soul would be Ursula’s forever. Ariel signs the deal, and her voice is captured in Ursula’s magical shell. Ariel, lost in love, takes the deal and gets her sea legs. She is found by the prince and the courting starts. And there is even one scene where Sabastian and the gang almost get Ariel and the Prince to kiss. Only Ursula’s eels are watching and ruin the entire mood. Later, Ursula decides that she needs to step things up a bit, and thus decides to enchant the prince with Ariel’s beautiful voice.
Why Witchcraft can sometimes turn bad
With the Prince under Ursula’s spell, she convinces the Prince to marry her, thus causing Ariel to run out of time. She is dragged back to the sea to be Ursula’s slave, but is intercepted by King Trident. King Trident vows to take Ariel’s place, thus allowing Ursula to gain hold of the trident. This is when she finally becomes queen of the sea. Ursula swings the trident to destroy Ariels friends and misfires, attacking and killing her two favorite eels. Anger and so enraged she stirs up a wicked storm, only to have the Prince stir a sunken ship into her belly. She electrocutes herself and dies. The contract that she has with her garden of trapped souls is released and they become mermaids again. King Trident gets his power and trident back. And Ariel gets her legs, her man, and a happy ending.
Why witches get a bad reputation
Now the craziest thing about this story is that Ariel and Ursula are alike in many ways. They both are rebels, and they both want to challenge the statues que. Ariel broke the rules by making contact with a human. And Ursula broke the rules by stealing King Trident’s magical trident. But sadly, Ursula is the one who is banished, goes mad, and later dies. Did all of these bad things happen to Ursula because she was ugly? No, all of these things happened to Ursula because she snapped. Ariel had the love of friends and family to support her. But Ursula, she had no one, even her two eels died in the end. She was a plain woman who sought power and was punished because of it. Then, by banishing Ursula, and denying her love, they slowly destroyed her. Sound familiar? Well because we’ve heard this story before. It was used to tell the ending of the Deanery’s Targaryen’s character arc where she devolved into the mad queen. Jon Snow left her, her best friend was murdered, leaving Danny bereaved. Yet, she was the most powerful woman in the world of Westeros, just like Ursula was the most powerful witch in the Atlantica Sea.
Why some witches have a bad attitude
Society will try and tame a powerful woman by isolating her, naming her witch, calling her wicked, turning her friends and family against her, until she eventually breaks. Overtime, she becomes the monster that society imagined. Is this the fate for all powerful women? No, this only happens to women who close themselves off from love. This is why it’s so important to always be on the vibration of love. That loving vibration will not only save you from imploding. It will also help you manifest your desires and your dreams.
Society has broken down good witches by calling them evil, ostracizing them, and turning their friends and family against them. Closed off from love, these witches turn bad, and become the monsters that society imagined.

They put a spell on you, how the devil took over black magic
I love Nina Simone, I put a spell on you, because you’re mine. And yes, I would love to use some of her music in this video, but because I don’t want to get a copywrite strike, I figured that I would just use her picture instead. Now, I am big fan of Nina Simone and after watching her documentary and I learned that she was a bad witch. Her, like a lot of entertainers back in the 60s had voodoo in their blood. But, Nina Simon, unlike many others wasn’t afraid of flaunting her power, and flaunting she did. Then, it got me thinking, how did we go from inspirational and even motivational music by Nina Simon, to the senseless noise that we have today. And then yes, it hit me, the devil took over black magic.
Put a spell on you Nina Simon
I go on a huge rant about black magic in my other video blank. In it, I say that black was actually a magical color to the ancestors, and only the most enlightened people in the world were able to handle the color black. Now, we see black as wicked, evil, and frightful. Yet, many of us who are from the continent of Africa call ourselves black. We say that we are proud to be black. Yet, many of us don’t really understand the kind of power and responsibility that surrounds such a sacred color. As a result, we are suffering from our ignorance. What do I mean by this? Well, if we were to study African liturgy, in particular some of the text from Ifa, we would learn that we have to strike a balance between the earthly consciousness and the heavenly consciousness. I know, it’s a mouthful. However, the easiest way to understand this concept is that we have to be alchemist. Since negative energy is constantly being thrown our way, we have to make a constant effort to use that negative energy as a fuel source. But since, we are cut off from the ancestors, and from our nature. We are unaware of how to use the power of alchemy. As a result, we absorb a great deal of negative energy, spread it to our loved ones, and even carry this energy to our graves.
What is a black magic curse
People laugh behind my back. They can’t understand why I would Believe in black magic, when it is in truth, ineffective. They point to magical places like Egypt and many countries in Africa that practiced magic, but yet they are poor. Many of these countries are suffering from famines, wars, corruption, and despair. Well, I suppose that we don’t have too many recent examples of people thriving using magic, in particularly black magic. But there is a reason for that my friends. It’s a little something that’s called degradation. Degradation is when the rot sets in, and destroys virtually everything in its path. And if you want to see degradation in action, well the best thing to do is watch HBO’s hit series, The Wire. The show is old, but I think that it can be placed in the vault of classics. It has all the elements of a gritty cop and crime series, but yet the betrayal of social economic disparities in the United States is compelling. Truthfully, the show can be a little too raw. Crooked cops, corrupt politicians, crack heads hustling for a nickel dime bag, can make you feel like you’re watching a dystopia, and not a crime thriller. In truth, corruption is real. And has taken down many of the most powerful empires, some by design, and others by just mere fate.
What is a black magic hex
Years ago, it was China who felt the pinch. They had a thriving economy and a rich dynasty that ruled for eons. They had no need to exchange goods, or open their border to Europeans. Especially since it was rumored that they carried diseases on their ships. However, the Europeans soon brought them down by introducing opium, thus leading to the opium wars that started in 1839. This may be the very first time that drugs were weaponized to bring down a thriving society. Later, there would emerge militant organizations that took over entire countries like Colombia and later Mexico. And of course, we had the black drug lords in Baltimore Maryland. And yes, it is common knowledge that drugs destroys communities.
What is black magic alchemy
And Baltimore, once a thriving port city, was hit hard by the crack epidemic in the early 80s and 90s. Tax constituents fled to the suburbs to escape the crime invested inner cities. And those who didn’t have the resources to leave, stayed. And since there were no jobs, no money for social programs, well, drug dealing became the number one industry. It was the only way for regular people to put food on the table. But sadly, with drugs comes murders, gangs, organized crime, and even corruption. Throughout all five seasons of The Wire, we saw how corruption, also known as negative energy turned out cops, reporters, congressmen, and even children. Drugs created a downfall of a powerful society and no weapons of mass destruction were even used. And this my friends is truly what black magic has come to represent, a curse, a hex, an evil sorcery that causes you to implode. So now, instead of transmuting negative energy, into positive energy, it just rots.
What is alchemy
So, in order for a society to devolve from corruption and yes drugs, you need to create the crack head, the addict who is addicted to drugs. But the addiction doesn’t begin or end with drugs. It involves another tool of the devil, money. Money just like crack cocaine will make people sell their first born. And the pursuit of money, fame, and power, produces an incredible high all in itself. More importantly, addictions of all kinds keep you in a lower vibration, or on the earthly level of consciousness so to speak. As a result, the addict is never able to raise their vibrations. They are never able to perform the alchemy needed to transform their lives. It was the Dali Lama who said it best, people prefer pleasure over happiness. Or rather, people are in such a weak mental state that they are addicted to pleasure. And sadly, they can never break the addiction long enough to seek the happiness they so deserve.
How to break a spell cast on me
Now drugs are everywhere, especially in our foods. We take more and more medication and all the outlets that were once used for healing and transcendence have now been poisoned. Bad music, reality television shows, gossip, and junk food, all gives us that much desired hit of pleasure. Yet, all of these things keep us trapped in a trance from which we can never escape from. As a result, we continue to spiral downward, and don’t really understand what’s happening to us until everything is gone. We’ve seen great people rise and fall. We’ve seen great empires meet their demise. Yet, we fail to see these things inside of ourselves. What’s the solution? We have to reconnect with our ancestors. All the knowledge that we felt was lost, is still hidden, inside of us. We need to stop being afraid of the power of magic, and use it to benefit ourselves, and all the people around us.
Black magic involves the process of degradation, which can be offset by the magic of alchemy.

Candle magic for shadow work and breaking trauma bonds
Have you ever wondered why people stay miserably married for a long period of time? Or, why we seem to tolerate certain behaviors from the people we think we love. We may break up with them, say to ourselves that enough is enough. However, they creep back into our lives, and we tell ourselves that things are going to be different this time around. We then justify their bad behavior, until the entire cycle starts again. The belittling, the gaslighting, the invalidation. We fail to realize that we are being manipulated by our abusers, and that we have established a trauma bond that is so strong, we can’t pull away from them. However, with the use of shadow work, we can finally break free from our captors, and begin to live a life, free from abuse, manipulation, and apathy.
Is shadow work evil
People do not realize how important shadow work is. They really don’t understand that if you don’t dibble and dabble into the dark side, the darkness will eventually consume you. What do I mean by that? Well, if you don’t work on your shit and overcome your own weaknesses. You will attract people into your life who will exploit those weaknesses. It seems that somewhere down the line, we humans forgot that we are subjected to the rules of nature. And much like nature our relationships contract and expands much like how the moons waxes and wanes. We often subconsciously attract certain people into our lives, to teach us lessons about ourselves. Or, in the most ideal situations, we attract certain people into our lives to help us heal. However, society has turned into a cult of wokeness and toxic positivity. We are discouraged from negativity and confronting the darkness that lies doormat inside. As a result of this, we remain trapped in trauma bonds and ensnared in the patterns of abusive relationships.
How to do shadow work for beginners
We’ve seen the trauma bond all throughout history, in the stories of the Greek gods, and even in Disney movies. Perhaps one of the most popular is Beauty in the Beast. Where an odd girl, searches the forest, looking for her father. Only to learn that he had been imprisoned by a hideous beast. Beale, being selfless and loving, offers to take her father’s place. And the Beast, along with his doting staff decide to woo her with parties, food, and dancing. They all work diligently to break the spell that turned an arrogant handsome prince, into an ugly beast. The concept of trauma bonds can also be seen in HBO’s hit series, Game of Thrones. Daenarys Targaryen, a surviving princess of a massacred clan, is forced to marry, Khal Drogo, a beast and ruler of a tribal army, who are seen to be savaged and uncivilized. In the beginning, Danny serves as his prisoner and at midnight, his sex slave. Until she puts it on him. He later vow to sail across the vast see, to take back the Iron Throne for Daenerys, putting the Targaryen's back in power again.
The story of Persephone and Hades
However, the most ancient story about trauma bonds may have begun in Greek Mythology, with Hades and Persephone. It was love at first sight, at least for Hades. The moment he set eyes on the daughter of Zues and Demeter, he knew that he had to have her. The only issue was that Demeter, wouldn’t allow her daughter to marry the god of the underworld. So, Zues along with Hades came up with an amazing plan. They would kidnap her. They both waited until Demeter and Persephone visited the earthly plane. Hades planted a beautiful flower in one of the gardens, and when Persephone plucked it, he knew that she had fallen into his trap. The earth quaked as Hades rode out on his chariot led by black horses. He snatches her up and takes Persephone to the underworld, leaving Demeter distraught and devastated. Demeter is driven mad by the disappearance of her daughter and neglects her duties. The plants weakened, animals' die, and soon the earthly plane is burdened by a disasters plague. In the end, Zues decided to appease Demeter. He promised to bring Persephone back, if it could be proven that Hades was holding her against her will. Once summoned, Persephone confided that she was indeed in love with Hades and wanted to remain in the underworld with him.
Trauma bonds explained and how to break them
Now, I know what you’re thinking, all of these stories have somewhat happy endings. However, the part that you’re missing is that all these women were forced into a relationship. It wasn’t their choice. Then, they would be forced to, cajole, submit and even love their captor. Most people would think that these are all stories that involved Stockholm syndrome. In truth, they all involved trauma bonds. Trauma bonds are different from soul ties, because there is not an immediate attraction. With trauma bonds, people latch on to their captors, because they realized that they have to take on certain behaviors in order to survive. Women learned that they could avoid a great deal of pain if they simply appease their masters, as opposed to resisting them. They learned to be better lovers, to praise, or to even stroke the egos of their oppressors. As a result, they get rewarded. Hades built beautiful gardens for Persephone. Khal Drogo gave Danny a beautiful white horse. And the Beast invited Beale to a beautiful candlelight dinner.
Trauma bonds and soul ties
Now here’s where it gets a little tricky, because unlike a soul tie, a trauma bond doesn’t have to be completely bad. Great things can happen when the captors truly fall in love. By doing this, they stop treating their victims like their slaves or prisoners and start to treat them like their equals. The Beast was willing to let go of Beale, because he was more concerned about her own happiness than breaking the spell. Khal Drogo was willing to fight and even die for Danny’s honor. And Hades, was willing to let go of Persephone, trusting that she will make the decision to come back to him in the end. These stories are three of many examples of people transmuting negative energy into positive energy. They are in a sense, using the art and science of alchemy to make their relationships better. And as a result, they are learning about themselves, and evolving into a better person in the process. However, when the process of alchemy doesn’t occur. Both people in a relationship will devolve.
Trauma bonds in abusive relationships
These are people who are stuck in primal relationships. Where their whole relationship is seen as a means of survival. This means that people literally cannot survive without their spouse or partner. Sadly, we have all inherited those cave man and cave woman genes, where we feel like we are physically dependent on each other for our survival. And if we pull away, we panic, and feel as if we are dying ourselves. Trauma bonds force us to put up with mistreatment, and even abuse. We do this, believing taking a few punches is the price that we must pay to save the relationship. However, we fail to realize that we are constantly being manipulated and shuffled about as someone’s pawn. Also, we give our captors, full control of not only the relationship, but also over our happiness. They can be cruel to us one day, throw us a couple of crumbs another day, all in the pursuit of bringing about happiness.
Trauma bonding between parent and child
Trauma bonds most often occur in relationships that are not chosen. They are most often established between a care-taker and a child. As a result, the child grows up and repeats the patterns of behavior in their own relationships. They will either be the captor, or the victim. This is where shadow work comes in. This is a process where a therapist or a healer can dive deeply into the subconscious mind, to find the original wound. The original wound is the pain point that sent you flying head first into dysfunctional and trauma inflicted relationships. Eckhart Tolle calls this wound, the pain body. The pain body is a repository of all the pent-up energy and pain in the body. The pain body works much like a parasite, needing to feed on more pain in order to get sustenance. As a result, we are driven from one bad relationship to another, because we crave the familiarity and pain that those relationships produce. However, we can free ourselves from all of this, by doing candle magic.
Candle magic and how does it work
You can start by purchasing two candles. One white, one black. Placed the black candle on the right, white candle on the left. Wait until the sun sets. As the sun sets, light the black candle first, white one second. Visualize breaking the trauma bond, remember, it’s important to feel the pain. Then, focus on manifesting a new, healthier relationship. Let yourself feel the emotions, feel the joy and the pain, as this will help with your manifestation process. You can perform this ritual on a full moon, for best results. Or, when you feel like you need some additional help to break away from that toxic person.
We can break trauma bonds by healing the original wound and thus ending the subconscious desire for pain and dysfunction.

How Witchcraft Played a Role in Shaping Race Relations in America
Many people despise me because they think that I am a witch. I try and tell them that I am a mystic, but they place all of us in the same category. And god forbid if something bad happens to me, they think that I’ve been cursed. Then they start preaching, if you weren’t into that witchcraft, you wouldn’t be suffering. Or see, that’s what you get, messing around with the devil. Then, they try and persuade me to go to the other side, to find the Lord, to ask for forgiveness for believing in false gods and idols. And then, I have to ask them, where in the hell was the Lord when people were being lynched, shot, imprisoned, or dragged across the Atlantic Ocean? Where was the Lord when actual laws were created that made black people less than human? Where was the Lord when segregation Jim Crow broke down the spirit and souls of black people? People who believe in the Lord, fail to understand that they are the ones who are cursed, and witches like me, are fighting tooth and nail to cure them.
Lovecraft Country explained
I normally don’t like to talk about racism, mostly because it gets me fired up. And now you’re probably asking, racism? You were just talking about the Lord. Well, yes, it’s like I said, racism. Many people come after racist institutions and even people. Yet, there is this multi-billion dollar business, called religion that always gets a free pass. And nobody calls them out, because the zealots who drank the kool-aid can’t tell the difference between a con man and a spiritual leader. Let’s be real here, many religious organizations sold their soul to the devil, and played a pivotal role in not only putting black people in chains, but also robbing people of color of their languages, cultures, and religions. People are brainwashed and believe that praying, singing, getting down on their knees and begging a Lord that put them in chains, will save them. Now, before I go any further, it must be stated that I don’t think that ALL religions are bad. Besides, I don’t want you all to curse me out in the comment section. However, I do believe that religions need to take accountability for the part that they played in promoting racism across the globe. And after watching Lovecraft Country, I don’t believe that I am the only one who feels this way. Besides, my witchy radar is strong and if I was going to try and decode some of the themes, I would say that the show is sending a compelling message of rediscovery and self-empowerment through black magick.
Lovecraft country and Jordan Peele
Afterall, we all got voodoo in our blood, whether we like it or not. Our ancestors believed in primordial gods, were more aligned with nature, and practiced magic, which people call witchcraft today. Witchcraft is highly misunderstood, feared, and has devolved into a taboo. People are afraid to even talk about it, for fear of punishment or worse banishment. Besides, no one wants to risk being the weird voodoo lady. Yet, writers have figured out sneaky ways to send subliminal messages, reminding you of the gods and the traditions of our past. Just take a look at H.P. Lovecraft, he was a racist and made it clear that he hated niggers. Yet, Jordan Peele applied his mastery to his stories, bringing them to life in such a way, where blacks suffered but also thrived. The message? Black people are the ultimate alchemist. We can overcome virtually any situation, can flip things around, turning things that are inherently negative into something that is potently powerful. But sadly, many of us have lost our mojo. Or, we are so brainwashed that we can’t see this power within us. But the characters of Lovecraft Country are constantly reminding us of this lost power. We see this with, Leticia, also known as Letty, Atticus, who goes by the name of Tic, and Uncle George who travel across the dirty south and racist north to collect information for his Negro Guide Book.
Lovecraft country characters
All of these characters go through hell in back to get to Lovecraft country to rescue Montrose. They face their own monsters, Sheriffs of sundown counties that threaten to tie a noose around their necks and hang them from trees, monsters with several eyes that suck blood, and the dysfunction of families torn about by disparity and bigotry. There was one scene where the characters sped through a racist town, only to cross the county line to be confronted by the police of a neighboring town. Devon County was a place that didn’t just lynch black people, they also burned witches. These scenes were deeply disturbing, but watching them, I couldn’t help but understand how fear plays a huge role in racism. The concept of fear wasn’t something that was prevalent in many African and Native American religions and belief systems. People weren’t afraid of dying. In fact, they accepted death as a natural part of life. Yet, some religions made death a scary thing. Instead of you, joining the ancestors in the afterlife. You slipped into the fiery pits of hell and was forced to burn for all eternity. Yet, this wasn’t everyone’s fate, only people who were considered evil. And since witches are the epitome of evil, well, you see where I am getting at. Racism thrives on fear, not just fear of the unknown, but also fear of you understanding the power of your ancestral lines.
Lovecraft country plot
Let’s take a look at Tic, he was a descendent of a powerful occultist and thus his blood was needed to make Samuel Braithwaites, immortal. These occultists didn’t care about killing Tic. They just needed his blood to perform their rituals. Just like many of these religious organizations don’t really care about you. They don’t need your blood, yet they need you to believe. Belief is a currency in the magical world. And whenever you subscribe to a particular religion, you are giving them your blood, your money, your ashé, and your power. And in turn, their turning you into their slave. They keep you blind, and ignorant, much like a master forbidding his slave from reading. Then, they perform their own witchcraft, ensnaring you into a spell that you can never escape from. A spell that cripples you, makes you less than human, and makes you afraid of the very thing that will free you, good old fashion witchcraft. I go into a huge rant about this in my other video, using Voodoo Symbols to get sh•t done. In it, I talked about how the true revolutionist were voodoo practitioners and priests, fighting for freedom. Yet, it seems that people aren’t ready for that quite yet. So, instead, we need tip toe around and ease you into the witchcraft and sorcery. Afterall, you did suffer from hundreds of years of indoctrination, and your default mode is to reject anything that is foreign or scary.

Do I think that all religions are inherently evil? No, I think that a lot of the spiritual principles from these religions were hijacked by elitist like the fictional character Samuel Braithwaite. They then used religions, as a means to control the general population. Control, is an ego driven behavior that ensures that certain people will always have a seat at the dinner table. While others will have to clean up and just eat the crumbs. In Love Craft Country, the Braithwaites wanted immortality. In truth, they wanted to ensure that their family would thrive and prosper for all eternity. And they used their magic to trick nature, bending it to their will. And it's clear that they’ve been very successful. Why? Well because blacks are the people of earth, the embodiment of nature, and we have been subjected to this trickery and deceit for hundreds of years. And that’s really what witchcraft is my friends. It’s an illusion, an entrapment of the mind, with constant reinforcements to remind you that you are inferior. Overtime, you succumb to your master’s will, and start to believe the narrative that he created for you. This ensures his dominance and since you’re cut off from nature and are afraid of voodoo, you don’t have the power or the resources to break the spell. I say all this because if the United States truly wants to heal. The US is going to have to get all of its skeletons out of the closet. Some religions are going to need to address the demonization of hundreds of gods, deities, orishas, loa, and the destruction of thousands of indigenous cultures from all over the world. Furthermore, we as a people need to separate the politics from the religion. We need to understand that there are some aspects of religion, designed to control, and others that were created to inspire.
