[image error]Mohanji’s guidance for sadhana on lunar eclipse

There will be a lunar eclipse on 20/ 21 January 2019. For correct times of the eclipse in your region, please visit this website and type in your region in the country box.

Compiled below Brahmarishi Mohanji’s advice on the eclipse taken from different satsangs and messages.

Sadhana:

A. Eclipse accents sadhana (spiritual practice). Any sadhana gives you 100 or 1000 time more returns. So make sure you meditate, chant, do kriya (if you are a kriya initiate), etc.

Chanting: Focus on chanting one mantra, which is your regular mantra or favourite mantra during the entire eclipse period. Place a picture of your Guru or a favorite deity (or deities), light a lamp (or candle) in front of the picture. Concentrate and chant your mantra continuously, occasionally looking at the picture, from the beginning till the end of the eclipse. If multiple people are chanting together, it is best for them to chant separately and exclusively using separate pictures (and lamps). Centres can organise chant sessions too during this time.

Kul Devta (family deity or patron saint), Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Hanumanji, Devi (Divine Mother), Moon for lunar eclipse and Sun for Solar eclipses are worshipped as per the inclination of the devotee. Can also perform Navagrah poojas.

The Moon works on mind and emotions. Hence chanting during lunar eclipse works well on the Manomaya kosha (mind sheath).

It is always recommended to take a bath after eclipse.

Food:

During an eclipse, food deteriorates almost 18 times more than normal. Also, the atmosphere contains more toxins. Cooked food usually has less praana (spiritual energy). During eclipse, whatever exists in the cooked food quickly deteriorates and becomes “poison”. Our body governed by the Annamaya kosha (food sheath) is sustained and supported by food and water. Hence, contaminated food contaminates our Annamaya Kosha. Annamaya kosha is also connected to Manomaya kosha. One contaminates the other.

A. Suggest not to eat, drink or engage in other activities from one hour before to one hour after the full eclipse time. Do not consume any food that was cooked and stored during eclipse.

B. Food or drink should be consumed with a sufficient time window to ensure it is fully digested one hour before the full eclipse time.

C. Avoid cooking or keeping cooked food in your house during eclipse.

D. Reduce any sense and sense related indulgence especially during the eclipse.

Selfless Service:

A. If you could, it is also a good day to perform selfless services prior to eclipse or after it. Do not serve food to anybody during an eclipse, which is considered as a sin. You can serve food before or after as mentioned above. This also will have a multiplied effect.

Please don’t miss this golden opportunity to accelerate your spiritual sadhana!

A Remote Affliction and an Even More Remote Healing

[image error]Mohanji at the Kumbh Mela

Day 2 (15th Jan) of Kumbh Mela pilgrimage. Mohanji is back from the dip in the afternoon. Suddenly, he has a shooting pain in the lower back and sinks on the sofa. An SOS to one of the participants who is celebrated cardiac surgeon in India. He is immediately on the job. He diagnoses it as an inflammation of the lower back muscles. Root causes are varied and vague. We don’t know the exact cause.

Mohanji sits propped on the sofa. Work continues unabated on the phone – messages answered, calls made, instructions given – through the excruciating pain. Preeti Duggal offers to heal his physical body through Mai-Tri healing. She does the healing for a while and then stops. She relates the root cause as seen by her during the healing. A bad car crash. Three passengers. Two are hurt but are relatively fine. One of them is badly injured and in the ICU. Severe injuries to the back.

Mohanji breaks his silence and affirms her findings. He was responding to a six year old’s request to save her father. He says that it is hard to deny a sincere prayer from a little child. He says, “With this intervention, her father will live. Anyways, this (referring to his body) is just a shell. The body is a botheration when trying to get work done but work can’t stop. When the Master stops working, lives are lost and catastrophes happen. Life has to go on despite the pain.”

Preeti says that she had to stop the healing session. Energy flow in that area was so intense that she started shivering and couldn’t take it anymore. She suggests to continue remotely healing him using a pillow as a representation of his back. She continues the healing. After some time, she reverts. She says healing done on Mohanji’s body but she could feel it was received by someone on a hospital bed. This reaffirms the divine intervention and his takeover of the father’s karma.

We advise Mohanji to cancel the afternoon meet-and-greet with participants and take some rest. He is reluctant. He says, “People have come here to see me. I can’t disappoint. They should be fully satisfied” He is somehow convinced by us to take the afternoon off.

Evening beckons. Pain levels still the same. Walking is painful. Sitting is very uncomfortable. But there are promises to keep and miles to go before he sleeps. After a quick supper, he asks to open the floodgates.

The participants pour in and fill every corner of the room. Words of wisdom flow that enlighten one and all. Unbeknownst to all, he sits stiffly through the pain unmoved. A few requests by us to close early are met with swift and sharp rebukes. He says, “Let people have all the time they need. None shall interrupt. Or else…” We stay silent and watch uncomfortably.

Finally, close to 1100pm. Request to close is heard and accepted. Pain has aggravated due to sitting in one position nonstop for four hours. The doctor mends and fixes. He rests for the night.

Morning of 16th. Had a good rest but intensity of back pain is unchanged. No improvement. After breakfast, he asks to meet those who want an audience. People flow in and out as He patiently sits (in pain), listens and advises. A couple of hours later, all disperse to their destinations.

No time to rest. Afternoon lunch and meetup with who’s who of Prayagraj (the city where the Kumbh Mela is being hosted). He showers, we pack. Working on the phone continues without respite. Time to go. We head back to the city of Prayagraj from the Kumbh Mela area. Arrive at the restaurant / hall. A crowd of people slowly gather.

None know about the pain as He tries to move as smoothly as possible without revealing much. This is not good for His body. Constant turning, bending, getting up to greet, and also walking around. He continues to work the crowd without regard to his body. Finally, it is time to go.

Head to the airport. Two hour wait followed by a three hour flight. Again, not good for the back. Reach the Bangalore house by 8pm. He decides to forego rest, wait two to three hours to allow the Bangalore traffic to subside and leave for Palakkad at 11pm. A seven to eight hour car ride without any breaks. This is now bordering on insane. How much more punishment can his body take?

Masters burning themselves out for the good of society. Earlier has just heard about it. Now see it on a daily basis. Hope society gets good before the Master burns out. On second thoughts, time for more candles to work hard and tirelessly and become worthy enough to take his place. That is what he strives each day to create with us.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But we have promises to keep,

And miles to go before we sleep,

And miles to go before we sleep.

BRAHMARPANAM (Offering to Supreme Consciousness)

When we offer whatever we consume to the Supreme Consciousness in mind, the aspect of Supreme Consciousness (soul) within us receives it in essence. When the aspect of Supreme Consciousness (soul) within us receives it, the universe receives it. Because what is within us is integrally connected to what is outside of us.
