Gentle Savior + Mighty Sword

Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain down the Just One!Open, O earth, and bring forth the Savior!

These are the words which the Church called out as we passed through the season of Advent.  In our commemorative longing for the Messiah to be born, and in our longing for Him to descend more deeply into our souls, and in our looking forward to His return in glory, we dwelt upon these words of the prophet Isaiah.

At His coming, now, the Church calls all mankind to...

The Last Rebellion - A Reflection on the Rise of Satanism

Is it possible that Satanism is here to stay?  That it is not a passing phenomenon but a new morphing of mankind toward its final perversion as the consequences of the Fall play out before us?  This article will explore this potential as well as the idea that Satanism is simply the next logical step in the deterioration of the intellect of man, and of his connection to God and truth, faith and reason.

Fr. Francesco Bamonte, the exorcist who currently heads the Vatican's...

Who is Born for us this Day?

This post was inspired by a reading of Isaiah 61:1-4.

In this our day, this Christmas, Who is it that is born?

Who is He for us today?

When He came to His own, who received Him not, He was for them the Son of David, the Savior, the one who would liberate them from oppression and captivity.

When He came to the nations, He was their liberation from sin and error and the darkness of idolatry.

When He united the nations through His Church, he was the King who brought peace and truth and...

The Supernatural Celebration of Christmas

The Christ Child was born to change the world.  We must seek Him in order to be changed by Him as well.

As He emerged and manifested Himself to the world, He summoned the wise and the humble through great signs and wonders.  He orchestrated the heavens to lead men from afar to find Him, and He commissioned His angels to appear to His humble shepherds and announce His longed-for birth.  The star that He commanded to shine above the town of His birth drew them both, the near and...

Exorcists - Our Beloved Priests who "See Behind the Veil"

It could be said that the wisdom and understanding of exorcists is almost "secret."  Truly, when we hear them speak and hear the advice they have to give, it is clear that they are privy to insights and understandings afforded to them solely due to the ministry in which they are involved.

At one point in my discernment of the priesthood, about three years after my conversion, I remarked to a priest friend that, since so many people do not understand the great riches of our Faith, that it...

uCatholic.com Features "Slaying Dragons" - Word Spreads!

From the uCatholic.com article:

The Secret Knowledge of Catholic Exorcists Compiled Into A New BookSaint Peter tells us: “The devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to devour.” Our reality is that of an ancient and ongoing spiritual war, the Evil One always working towards his singular goal. Satan and his fallen angels seek our spiritual annihilation, tempting us to sin and trying to drag us down to the depths of Hell.

“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against...

Exorcists are Calling us to More than just the December 6th Day of Reparation

http://www.ncregister.com/blog/breedail/four-exorcists-urge-day-of-fasting-prayer-and-reparation-dec.-6 As everyone, hopefully, embraced the Day of Prayer, Fasting, and Reparation on December 6th, on the Feast of Saint Nicholas, the great defender of the Faith and the Council of Nicea, and on a First Friday dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, it is important to remember that what the exorcists were calling for that day is something we all need to be doing more often.

Our world is overrun with sin and many forms of idolatry.  Most Christians are in a state of constant compromise with...

Visited by a Soul from Purgatory? - A True Story from this Author

There is a personal story that I am compelled to share which must somehow be connected with the new work I have begun, and with the research and associated spiritual work needed in order to write and publish Slaying Dragons: What Exorcists See & What We Should Know .  If that is actually the case, it would make sense to me.  The story is that, as it seems, Our Lord has permitted me to experience a visit by a soul from Purgatory on this past Solemnity of All Saints.
For those who...

Cutting Away the Deep Dark Things

"...if we do not repel them, they will drive us to frustration and sin..."
Every man, if he is honest, knows he is imperfect.  One of our weaknesses is a lack of humility, which prevents us from properly addressing this reality.  While we acknowledge that we are not perfect, we do not like to dwell on that fact.  We like to be distracted from reflecting on our imperfections.  But why?  Why do we not want to face them head-on and deal with them, resolve them,...
