"But Demons are Liars!" - Why We Can Trust What Exorcists Learn
A very common question that people voice about what exorcists teach is based on the idea that demons lie and, as a result - why should we believe anything demons say?
This typically emerges in response to hearing what exorcists say about things that people are attached to with a certain sensitivity, like the Harry Potter books or Yoga. Nonetheless, it appears as a general question in people's minds.
The truth about this question and this concern goes to the heart of what I cover in my...

The Binding Prayer
Many times, people will ask about the "binding prayer" and what it is. So, here is the binding prayer, as taught by Fr. Ripperger and as found within my book,
Slaying Dragons: What Exorcists See & What We Should Know
.The binding prayer is,
“In the Name of Jesus, I bind you, spirit of __________, and I cast you to the foot of the Cross to be judged by Our Lord.”"Spirit of __________" refers the temptation or evil thought or evil impulse or evil action that is plaguing you...

"She Shall Crush Your Head" - Our Lady's Power over the Diabolical in Our Lives
"I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel."Genesis 3:15
(DR/Vulgate)
It is here, in this passage, authoritatively interpreted by the Church into whose custody have been given the Sacred Scriptures, that we see the pronouncement of Our Lady's victory over Satan. She, in union with Her Divine Son, has "crushed the poisonous head of the most cruel serpent," the Devil, who strikes at her...

Whom Do You Serve?
If you love Me, you will keep My commandments - Jn. 14:15
In this life, we make every choice for a reason. Almost every single action, great and small, is inspired by a mindset or religious or philosophical principle.
When we wake in the morning, when we get ready for the kind of day that we know awaits us, and when we face the tasks and burdens that greet us, the response we give is inspired by what we believe.
When life gives me sudden suffering, what do I really think, in the depths of...

Was a Demon Offended?
In a previous post, I shared that I had recently been on The Catholic Talk Show to film an episode about my book,
Slaying Dragons: What Exorcists See & What We Should Know
.
Apparently, the content of that episode caused some trouble:
While you can, and should, still navigate over to their website and listen to the audio version of the show, Youtube decided that the video violated their policy on hate speech .
That's right - the wisdom of exorcists is now "hate speech"!
That got a big reaction...

"Slaying Dragons" Author on "The Catholic Talk Show"
I almost forgot to post it here!
Back in November, I was invited to be flown out to Texas to film an episode on "The Catholic Talk Show" about my book, Slaying Dragons: What Exorcists See & What We Should Know .
For those who did not know, my book has been holding on to the spot of
#1 Bestseller in Christian Angelology and Demonology!
Of course, this is bound to not last. However, here's a picture:
And here is the video with Ryan Scheel, Ryan DellaCrosse, and Fr. Rich Pagano:

The Sacramental Key to the Coffers of Grace
Many, upon hearing about sacramentals such as blessed salt, blessed oil, and blessed candles, wonder what the purpose is for these when we already have Confession and the Holy Eucharist. If the Holy Eucharist is Our Lord Himself, the “furnace of charity,” of what necessity is blessed oil and blessed salt and holy water, all of which, in addition to other uses, may also be consumed by the faithful?
SourceThe purpose of these sacramentals is to sanctify every aspect of our lives and...

The Role of the Father, according to Exorcists
By the author of Slaying Dragons: What Exorcists See & What We Should Know
The father of a family has real spiritual authority and influence over his wife and children. This is a Biblical reality and a matter of divine revelation. Exorcists note the impact of the father, and the power of the role he plays, in the cases that they encounter.
Many of the wounds that people carry are acquired early in life when they are under the authority of their parents and are being formed in their “...

Double Fortification
The work of the spiritual life is two-fold regarding fortification.
The soul must first be fortified with God's grace, first through Baptism, then through all of the means which Our Lord has entrusted to His Church: the Eucharist, regular Confession, the Rosary, the scapular, holy water, blessed salt, contemplative prayer, fasting, almsgiving, etc. Then the soul, constructed into a Temple of God in Baptism, will be built into a glorious city where God is at its center and it stands...

We Could Be So Much Happier
...if we would embrace everything Our Lord offers us.
One of the many important things that I learned while researching and writing Slaying Dragons: What Exorcists See & What We Should Know is that we can all be so much happier than we are and so much happier than we think we could be.
The distant horizons of perfection can be brought nearer to us than we think and with greater ease than we understand. The strength and security and peace and fulfillment, for which we all seem to so...
