Introducing Our New Logo!

Dear Friends,
For a while, I have been interested in the idea of having a "logo" or "brand" to use in the effort to bring attention to my book, Slaying Dragons: What Exorcists See & What We Should Know, which has been helping so many people gain the necessary clarity, answers, and spiritual weapons needed to navigate this world while remaining faithful to Our Lord and allowing His abundance graces to bear as much fruit as possible.

Truth tends to the soil of our souls, permitting them to...

“The patient man is better than the valiant” (Prov. 16:32)

As we process the pruning that God is doing to the world, let us remember how pleasing it is for us to calmly and lovingly submit to all that God permits.  Joyfully welcoming what God allows to happen to us is most pleasing to Him.
Please enjoy this excerpt from one of the great Doctors of the Church: St. Alphonsus Liguori Vol. VI of the Ascetical Works The Holy Eucharist
The patient man is better than the valiant. (Prov. 16:32) God is pleased with a person who practices mortification by...

Let God Take Everything

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which comes upon you to prove you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice in so far as you share Christs sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:12-13
It is in these strange times that we find ourselves.  But, let us take counsel from the Prince of the Apostles, in his first Epistle to the Church, for it is there that we will find...

Reflection for Holy Week - the Fifth Sorrowful Mystery

Imagine:

They have just driven the nails through the sacred Hands and Feet of Our Lord. The nails pierce His Sacred Flesh just beneath the wrist and between the two bones.

His agony is incomprehensible, for He is Life, approaching death; Love, receiving hate; the perfect and sinless Man, experiencing the consequences of sin.

Imagine still:

As they lift the Cross from the ground, to set it upright, gravity slowly pulls upon His Body, and upon the nails in His hands. Slowly, the weight and the...

A Brief Reflection - A Call to Surrender and to Consecrate

https://en.nursia.org/ Click for their websiteAs I read the final lines of the newsletter of the Benedictine Monks of Norcia (subscribe here), I was struck by one of the realities which we are experiencing in this global pandemic.

The final paragraph reads:
It becomes clearer every day that we will all be suffering with the physical, economic, psychological and spiritual consequences of the coronavirus for some time. We should be willing to learn the lessons God wants to teach us. A great temptation is to demand that...

The Church's Ritual and God's Anger

In my research, I came across this prayer which is timely for a whole host of reasons.

This prayer (a series of three prayers) comes at the end of a " Procession in Time of Epidemic ."  It comes from Volume I of the Roman Ritual: The Sacraments and Processions.

For those who are unfamiliar, the Roman Ritual is the official Ritual which the authority of the Catholic Church has both commissioned to be compiled and has selected as the official book of the genuine and sacred rites of the...

God in the Quarantine

As is evident in the social media posts and ventings and ponderings that appear on a daily basis as everyone hunkers down in some sort of quarantine mode, people are wrestling with the implications of the government reactions to the virus, the international economic downturn, and the potential destabilization of society as we have known it for the past many decades.

In my previous article, "The Devil in the Quarantine," I discussed what the devil is likely up to in our individual lives,...

The Devil in the Quarantine

As we enter into this Quarantine, we must remember that the devil will not let this opportunity pass him by without seizing it for our spiritual destruction.  Consider that the demons knew that this virus was emerging and were able to predict, given the power of their angelic nature, the potential consequences and reactions of the people and nations of the world.
They know the structure of our cultures much better than we do, and could forecast the potential of the virus to destabilize...
