In Plain Sight-Sinister Secrets Anthology
My upcoming novella inside the Sinister Secrets Anthology (September 1, 2022 release) is close to home. I live near Quantico., the Marine Corps Base, which is also home to the FBI Academy, their Special Teams, AND their forensics lab. After interviewing several FBI special teams members and former FBI actors (yes, that’s a real thing), I was inspired to write In Plain Sight, one of three novellas inside the Sinister Secrets anthology.
In Plain Sight: Jaclyn Girard was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and now she’s caught in the middle of a deadly investigation. With danger mounting, she must work alongside FBI operative Cody Ackert if she hopes to survive.
It’s up for pre-order right now at a discounted price until release.

July Giveaways
Giveaways. When authors ask me to join their giveaways, I’m always flattered. I enjoy getting to know the other authors and seeing what they’ve published. In addition, our book giveaways are an opportunity for readers to find new authors (especially if they win). The only negative…I can’t enter the giveaways too. I love to read, and seeing all those free books up for grabs is like placing food in front of a starving person. Right now, I’ve joined two fantastic giveaways.

Carol Award Finalist
Danger on the Loch is a 2022 ACFW Carol Award Finalist. I'm still stunned by the announcement and incredibly humbled to be numbered among authors I have long admired in Christian Fiction. Danger on the Loch is dear to my heart for so many reasons. Here's a review InD'Tale Magazine:
"Edwards has woven a gripping and riveting multilayered story that grabs one's attention in the first few pages of the book and just doesn’t let go! One will find themselves transported to a far-off place where friendship, love, family, and intrigue are knitted together like a beautiful Scottish Tartan. Unputdownable!"
And Reader's Favorite, "Paige Edwards has created a mystery case worthy of someone like Sherlock Holmes to crack. "

I Wish I Was You
I love to pass good things on to my reader friends whenever I can, largely because I’m a voracious reader and know how exciting it is to open a new book and dive deep into its pages. Here are not one, but TWO amazing giveaways going on right now. I must admit, I’m a little jealous I can’t enter too. If you win, drop me a line and share the joy. I love to hear from readers. Cheers! Paige

Check your Mobile
Shortly after I went to bed last night, my phone pinged. I was all warm and cozy, and just starting to drift off to sleep. I told myself I'd check my messages in the morning.
Then my mobile pinged again. And again. That warm and drowsy feeling dissipated, and I rolled over, worrying that something might have happened to my ninety+ year-old in-laws.
I picked up my phone and read, "Congratulations!"
My first thought was, "for what?" Then I read, "You're a Carol Awards finalist!!!"
Okay. I'll admit, that woke me up real fast. NOW, I'm wide awake and shaking-just a little (okay, so maybe a lot).
The Carol Awards are a big deal for ACFW members. Ever since I started writing, I had one goal in mind, to touch lives. To inspire via my writing. I'm feeling all the feels right now and so incredibly honored and humbled to be one of three finalists in my genre (romantic suspense).

MI6 Agents need gadgets
My father loved James Bond movies. Whenever a JB movie came out at the theatre, we saw it. Naturally, when I became an author, I had to write a story with at least one MI6 agent. Facing the Enemy, my soon-to-be-released novel (April 4th, 2022), has two agents who needed something cool to play with. (James Bond can't have all the fun, right?) I wanted something fresh, that had never been used before--and it needed to be UK specific. An English friend shared early mountain rescue and military trials taking place in in the UK (Jet suits were in developmental stages at this point). Giddily, I dove headfirst down the research rabbit hole and located an electronic patent for a jet engine. (when writing, plausibility issues can arise if they're too far fetched). So, I modified the gas-fueled prototypes that were in development. Voila! One of my main characters has a shiny new toy.

ARCs-book baby harbingers
It's a delight when ARCs arrive in the mail, whether they're my own or from other authors I support. Excitement is in the air when those soon-to-be-launched book babies show up in your mailbox. As an author, I treasure ARCs almost more than the final product. They represent all the hours of labor that went into producing each story: the journey of discovery as you get to know your characters, and the difficulties the main characters face before they find their happily-ever-afters. For example, a recent ARC arrived on my doorstep on an upcoming anthology I participated in, called Sinister Secrets (September 2022). I'm super excited about it, primarily because it's my first novella, and the other two authors who participated: Traci Hunter Abramson and Clair Poulson, are fantastic storytellers.

I Love my Street Team
As an author, I'd be lost without my street teams. These peeps are incredible humans who sign up to promote my upcoming releases, post honest reviews, and get the word out on the street about my latest novel, Facing the Enemy (romantic suspense), which debuts April 4, 2022. When my first two novels hit bookstores, I didn't use street teams (I had no idea what they were). What a huge mistake that was! Chalk it up to being an inexperienced newbie author who winged it as she went along. Now that I'm getting my feet wet, so to speak, I marvel that I ever attempted to launch a book without one. Cover Reveal for Sinister Secrets
So many things are happening in the next few weeks. Sinister Secrets, (September release) the novella I wrote for a suspense anthology, has its Cover Reveal tomorrow, February 4th on the Wholesome Romance Facebook page @6:00 pm (MT). [https://tinyurl.com/2p8syxd2]
In Plain Sight (my novella) was was super fun to write, primarily because of the interviews I conducted with people who work on a specialized military base near my home in northern Virginia. These guys have trained explicitly for things that transpire in my novella. Hope you enjoy it:)
