Cops Believe Biden Is Against Them

Democratic policies are responsible for the national surge in crime and deadly ambushes of officers, a top police union official said, warning that frequent release of violent offenders and new restrictions on law enforcement are certain to make matters worse.
“I would say that most police officers don’t believe that Joe Biden is on their side,” Fraternal Order of Police National Vice President Joe Gamaldi told the “Just the News, Not Noise” TV show on Wednesday.
He criticized Democratic policies from the national stage down to the local level for harming and hampering officers.
Gamaldi, a Houston police sergeant, especially blasted Chicago’s new rule, instituted by Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot, that prohibits officers from chasing down suspects involved in misdemeanors.
“Just when I think that they can’t coddle criminals any more than they do, they come out with a policy like this. Just when I think they can’t neuter our ability to enforce the law, they come out with something like this,” Gamaldi said, adding that it sends a clear message to criminals “that all you have to do is run from the police and we’re not going to chase you.”

Biden Crashing Among Young Voters, Hispanics

The only brief glint of good news from the latest Quinnipiac poll for Joe Biden? He didn’t hit a new low on job approval, but rather tied his previous lows of 33/57 among all respondents and 35/58 among registered voters. However, in a survey where six in ten respondents consider inflation to be a crisis rather than just a problem, Biden and Democrats have a lot of reasons for panic:Americans give President Joe Biden a negative 33 – 57 percent job approval rating with 10 percent not offering an opinion. Biden’s 33 percent job approval among Americans ties the low that he has received in three previous Quinnipiac University national polls.
Registered voters give President Biden a negative 35 – 58 percent job approval rating with 7 percent not offering an opinion. Biden’s 35 percent job approval among registered voters ties the low that he has received in three previous Quinnipiac University national polls.
Rather than get right to the demos on the overall approval question, let’s first stick …

Biden Gas Tax Halt Saves Only $13.58 a Month

President Joe Biden has called on Congress to suspend the federal gasoline tax, as millions of Americans feel the financial pinch from soaring gas prices.Yet suspending the 18.4 cent levy on regular gas (and 24 cents for diesel) might not do much to lower prices at the pump, say energy experts, who also caution that boosting consumer demand for gas as domestic supplies remain constrained and inflation is surging could actually increase fuel costs over the longer term. The gas tax, which hasn’t been increased in nearly 30 years, today makes up just 4.4% of prices at the pump, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service. That makes the tax a much smaller influence on the cost gas than other factors, notably the price of crude oil, cost of refining, marketing and retailers’ markups.
Proposed federal gas tax holiday may not save drivers much at the pump

“People are not going to notice 18 cents in the ups and downs of national gas prices — it just won’t be enough that they can identify it,” said Severin Borenstein, director of the Energy Institute at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. The price cut “would take a few weeks to pass through, and by …

Reporter: House Dems Said No One Cares About J6

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
Politico correspondent Betsy Woodruff Swan alleged Wednesday that two Democratic lawmakers spoke candidly about how the electorate does not care about Jan. 6.During a panel discussion on “Meet the Press NOW,” NBC anchor Chuck Todd cited a Quinnipiac poll that asked Americans if they thought former President Trump “truly believed there was voter fraud” in the 2020 presidential election or that he has “deliberately spread false information.” 43% say they think Trump believes the claims while 48% say the former president knowingly promotes falsehoods. Todd went on to stress the party divide that showed a whopping 86% of Democrats claiming Trump is lying as 77% of Republicans say he believes the voter fraud claims. “Which brings me to the all-important question, Betsy: Does the January 6th hearing break through at all? Is this more proof that it does not?” Todd asked. ‘I don’t think it does,” Swan responded. “I’ve talked to two separate Democratic members of Congress over the last couple of weeks about January 6th, obviously can’t say who, and both of them have said offhandedly, nobody gives a bleep about January 6th when they’re talking about their districts and the way that elections play out.“JAN 6: EAGER TO TROLL TRUMP, ‘MORNING JOE’ COMPARES VIEWERSHIP ACROSS ALL NETWORKS TO ‘THE APPRENTICE’“The reality is — obviously, it’s a very important issue. Obviously — like I’ve been covering this nonstop for the last year. It’s important, it’s a key part of understanding American history and the democratic trajectory that this country is on. It is also true at the same time and not at all contradictory that it’s not a top-tier voting issue for people who are figuring out who they’re going to support during the midterms,” Swan told Todd. “Top-tier issues are material concerns. How are people paying their mortgages? How much does it cost to get milk and bread? How much does it cost to get gas?” Swan added, “Do these hearings result in different electoral outcomes for Democrats? I have yet to see any actual evidence that they do.” Much of the media has hyped the ongoing House Select Jan. 6 Committee hearings which have been reviewing the events that led up to the riot on Capitol Hill. Liberals have praised the hearings for revealing what they say led to an attempt at overthrowing the 2020 election while conservatives call them a partisan exercise meant to damage former President Trump ahead of a potential run in 2024.

Dr. Oz Not Doing Great in Polls

He’s not doomed, for the simple reason that no Republican is doomed in a year like this one unless they’re running in a D+15 jurisdiction. Pennsylvania is considerably redder than that. Oz will have a fighting chance all the way to Election Day.And there’s something else working for him, the John Fetterman health crisis. It may be that complications from his stroke will leave Fetterman unable to campaign in earnest this summer and fall, either forcing Dems to replace him on the ballot with someone less popular or asking Pennsylvania swing voters to gamble that he’ll be able to do the job of a senator if they elect him. As I write this, Fetterman still has yet to return to the trail despite having had his heart scare more than a month ago. Maybe doubts about his fitness will tip the scales to Oz in the end.
But as things stand today, there’s no …

Kavanaugh’s Would-Be Assassin Submits Not-Guilty Plea

On Wednesday, the man accused of attempting to execute Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh submitted his plea in federal court.Nicholas John Roske, a 26-year-old from California’s Simi Valley, pleaded not guilty to one count of attempting to assassinate a justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
In the early morning of June 8th, Roske was arrested outside Justice Kavanaugh’s home.
In his possession, as relayed by CNN: “a Glock-17 pistol, a tactical knife, two magazines, a speed loader, ammunition, pepper spray, zip ties and tools including a hammer, screwdriver, nail punch and crowbar.”

According to Fox News, Roske was motivated by a potential end to federal abortion rights:
The individual told police that he had become upset by the leaked draft opinion that could spell out the reversal of Roe v. Wade. Roske also allegedly said that he believed the justice would decide to loosen gun laws following the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
Roske took a taxi to Kavanaugh’s neighborhood and was spotted by U.S. Marshals, but was apprehended after he called 911 and told the operator that he was having suicidal thoughts and was planning to kill Kavanaugh.
Evidently, he changed his mind:
Roske…texted his sister before dropping the plan to kill Kavanaugh and authorities believe that what she said led him to abandon the plan.
Still, the charge against him is punishable by a maximum of life imprisonment.
In earlier America, all the above news would surely have prominently hit the front page. But it seems the national media have come to compartmentalize stories: Those supporting a p …

Avenatti’s Remaining Charges Likely to Be Tossed

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
Michael Avenatti, the disgraced lawyer who famously represented porn star Stormy Daniels, will likely have additional charges against him dropped after he pleaded guilty last week to wire and tax fraud. In a court filing Tuesday, federal prosecutors in Southern California said they expect “to move to dismiss the remaining counts of the Indictment after sentence is imposed.”

(AP Photo/John Minchillo, File)Avenatti, 51, pleaded guilty on Thursday to multiple counts of wire fraud for swindling his clients out of settlement funds they were owed. He is scheduled to be sentenced on those charges on Sept. 19.Prosecutors said those guilty pleas “will allow the Court to impose a sentence … that addresses the full scope of the defendant’s criminal conduct,” and that such a sentence makes further trial proceeding unnecessary. Prosecutors said Tuesday they aren’t planning to try Avenatti on six of the remaining charges and asked the court to delay trial on 25 other charges until next year.Authorities said Avenatti cheated clients by negotiating and collecting settlement payments on their behalf and funneling the money to accounts he controlled. They said he owes his clients $9 million in restitution, but Avenatti said he disagrees with the estimate and the amount is much lower. Court for Colbert Insurrectionists

Members of a production team associated with Stephen Colbert’s late-night comedy show who were arrested last week on Capitol Hill and charged with unlawful entry have a court date set for next month.
“The U.S. Capitol Police issued citations for those arrested last week, charging them with unlawful entry into a building. All were released and are to appear on July 20 in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday.
“The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia is working with the U.S. Capitol Police and has no further comment on this matter,” the statement added.
