Roskilde Skåltegn
Located in the centre of Roskilde (Denmark) just west of the cathedral stand two large stones placed in the front yard of the former school master's house. One stone is lying down while the other is standing. The northern stone, which is the standing one, was recently noted (2017) to have about 20 cup marks carved into it, see the photos on our page.

Trencrom
Dozens of new photos of this fascinating site. Hillfort and possible Early Neolithic enclosure in Cornwall. A wall of large orthostats links natural outcrops of rock and encloses an area of around 1ha. The wall construction is similar to that of Carn Brea. Group II and V axe heads have been found nearby. There are hut circles within the enclosure and the gateways are elaborated, both of these features are likely to be later prehistoric structures

Figheldean Earthwork
Many Bronze Age field systems have significant alignments on the Solstices - just one discovery from The Shaping of the English Landscape: An Atlas of Archaeology from the Bronze Age to Domesday Book which is available as a free ebook download. More in the comments on our page. The most complete and extensive survival of chalk downland archaeological remains in central southern England occurs on Salisbury Plain, particularly in those areas lying within the Salisbury Plain Training Area. These remains represent one of the few extant archaeological "landscapes" in Britain and are considered to be of special significance because they differ in character from those in other areas with comparable levels of preservation.
At this location is a small, sub-square, earthwork enclosure, comprising a bank with external ditch. Probably for stock and associated with the nearby field system.

Kingston Cottage Tomb
Kingston(e), a collapsed Neolithic Dolmen/Chambered Tomb in-between Pembroke and Trewent/Freshwater East, Pembrokeshire. A jumbled collection of huge stones at the entrance of a farm gate. This monument faces Freshwater East beach south by south east in aspect. I think this must have been one of the largest monuments of it's kind in Pembrokeshire.
