Long Barrow and Round Barrow in Derbyshire. As Arbor Low has been described as The Stonehenge of the North, so Gib Hill has been called A miniature Silbury Hill. It appears at first glance to be a fine example of a Bronze Age round barrow, however, archaeological evidence reveals that it is actually two barrows with a Bronze Age round barrow superimposed on top of an earlier Neolithic long barrow.

Cilgerran stone
22 May 2022 was the culmination of a few months of dialogue and thinking, to make a dream real. A wonderful demonstration of the power of community pulling together to make the immovable object float and slot into position. . Standing stone at Cilgerran football club, once fallen but now re-erected in May 2022. Woodsman writes: On our local football pitch there was a large stone laying down, with a hole drilled in it, presumably where it was used for a gatepost. The OS map from 1890 shows two standing stones in the field, both missing now and since 1920. A corner chipped off the stone when moved by a digger shows an interesting granite like structure possibly dolerite. The local stone is slate, and we are close to the Preselis, source of the bluestones at stone henge.

Foel y Mwnt
An Iron-Age promontory fort in Ceredigion. The top of the hill is marked by two lines of defensive earthworks. The area within the headland defined by these terraces is devoid of any sign of habitations or indeed of any level ground. The summit of the hill is said to have once had a lofty stone cross, from which the church of the Holy Cross is though to have derived its dedication. A search of the area failed to reveal any evidence of a socket hole.
