Stone Babas on Dvortsova Street

This unique display on Dvortsova Street, in Kirovohrad attracts the passerby by the statues’ exotic appearance. In a park by the roadside is a collection of six statues, one Neolithic anthropomorphic stele, one medieval Polovtsian “baba", the rest Scythian, one of the largest collections in Ukraine, left by the local authorities to the mercy of the elements, and now potentially far worse of course.
