I’ll be back in the west coast next week to celebrate the launch of the “Drawing Beautiful Women: The Frank Cho Method” book. (The book should arrive from the printer and hopefully clear customs when I’m there.)
Two major stops for me. First, I’ll be at Lee’s Comics store at Mountain View, California (right by San Jose) for a store signing and launch party on Tuesday, October 28th 2014, from 5 to 7pm.

Finally after many months, I’ve finished most of my major commitments and have time to focus on “World of Payne”.
For those who don’t read this blog regularly, “World of Payne” is a creator-owned project by me and Tom Sniegoski. It’s an action horror adventure story of a reluctant urban sorcerer, Lockwood Payne, and his dry-witted buddy, Doctor Hurt. It’s a world filled with demons, ghosts and other unnatural things.
The first introductory story, Book 0: Ghost Dog, is already written by Tom Sniegoski and I’m in process of illustrating it. Instead of pecking at it these last several months, I can now focus all my energy on it.
Here’s another peek of demons, ghouls, goblins and monsters that inhabit this rich and weird world.

Wow. Completely unexpected. New York Comic Con was fantastic. My trip to this year’s New York Comic Con was a last minute decision and I didn’t really prepare for it. I was only there for two days. Saturday was insane and Sunday was steady.
First of all, it was great seeing all my fans and friends. (Tom Sniegoski, Howard Chaykin, Geof Darrow, Cully Hamner, Adi Granov, Juanjo Guarnido, etc., you guys simply rock.) Although I didn’t get to hang out with them as much as I wanted because of the chaotic nature of the show, it was great to talk with them none the less.
This was definitely a show for art commissions and art sales. My new art print, Fast Food, performed what I expected, but the original art sales were through the roof. I brought only several sketch covers and I blew through those within the first half hour, so I opened up my sketch list which filled up just as fast. here are couple of the original art that I did I did at the show – Savage Land Rogue and Dawn Star from Legion of Superheroes.
I will definitely be at New York Comic Con for all 4 days next year, rain or shine.
