What Are My Beliefs About Secularism And Religious Conversions?
Note- No attempt is made nor any intention is sustained to mislead or discriminate any particular race.
Secularism means that there is no particular religion fostered by the state. So secularism can be very well implemented in bringing dignity to all the people who come from different walks of life and varied backgrounds.
This implies that secularism can be very well implemented at macro level, where the interests of multitudes of people are considered.
On the contrary, if the concept is drawn to micro level, i.e, individually by a person, then it can solve its detrimental purpose.
If you support a school of thought, then you should be confident about it. You should have a reason for everything you do. If you don't, there are fair chances you'll abandon it soon. Today, many of our Sanatani traditions are dying just because of this.
You should respect every community, but you should know what is the speciality of your community which makes it stand out.
Today, many religious conversions are happening because of this reason. Many missionaries and other religious groups target Hindus which suffer from problems like breakup, stress, depression etc. Then they manipulate them that after following their religion they'll be better than they were after they followed their own religion.
I can give you some common life examples which will make you believe what I say.
Non-VegetarianismI don't know why but until some time back, due to the influence of TV and Social Media, I started to believe that Non-Vegetarianism is not bad and it's okay if one eats non-vegetarian food as it's his own life. Social media was stuffed with content that if people don't consume non-veg, population of animals will increase.I didn't find any proof of this notion. But I found that due to the rise of non-vegetarianism, 10000 species are extinct every year. This is insane, if genocide of animals is considered normal.Domestication of animals for consumption is the biggest reason of Amazon fire. Humans are postulated to be herbivores. In ancient times, in coastal and hilly areas, people opted for non-vegetarian diets because they had less access to resources, but they can practice vegetarianism now because of the mobility and transportation. Some egg-eaters call themselves eggetarian which is not proven. Some terrible egg-eaters even unabashedly call themselves vegetarian which is indeed hilarious. What I want to tell you this, that after knowing all of this, If I still believe that I should respect a non-vegetarian person, I wouldn't take long to become one myself, which I don't want to. Actually, the biggest part of my respect is reserved for vegetarians only.I won't tell you long, just do your research and you'll come to know of all the misdeeds done with animals.Captivity Of AnimalsI've always condemned the practice of keeping animals in captivity, though my family also practiced it for years.
We had a German-Shepherd She-Dog who lived miserably and just for eight years. She had tumors in her stomach. Her death was miserable. I cried as well.
We kept eleven fishes in our aquarium. My family enjoyed it. I didn't, but to join them, I imitated the enjoyment. It was my assigned task to feed those fishes their food which was 30 fennel seeds coated with any supplement.
They all died sequentially within three months. We again got new set of eleven who again met the same destiny.
Whenever the aquarium cleaner came, he emptied them in a bucket, the scene of which was miserable.
Many people are like us, they fancy about foreign breeds which aren't able to survive in India's climate. A dog's age is twelve years. But hardly, any dog in captivity meets the criterion.
Dogs also need organisms of their own race to interact with.
No matter, how much you take care of dogs in captivity, they won't be happy.
If you feed stray dogs without capturing them, they'll be more happy and healthy.
Instead of keeping fishes in your homes, go to any nearby pond or river and feed them there itself.
In Hindus, it is a prominent tradition to free cows and calves on Akshay Tritiya.
Even if you keep them in captivity, you should question yourself, is it required?
Things To Keep In Mind Before Converting.1. Ask Yourself QuestionsYou must ask yourself, if you're taking the decisions hurriedly. Is it your own decision or are you influenced? What are the shortcomings of your own religion?Have you given the time you'll be giving to your future religion to your present one?Have you tried your present religion with a chance?Do you feel yourself comfortable and loyal to the prospective religion?2. Give Your Religion A ChanceBefore turning to another religion, clear the doubts you have with your present religion. Read the scriptures, ask experts, visit pilgrimages, practice yoga. Sanatanis are the oldest and most scientific race on the planet. Hinduism is the fastest growing religion in Russia.Pagan cultures are slowly dying. If such happens with Hindus as well, In the coming generations, just like Egyptian, Greeks, Roman and Italian Pagan Cultures, our culture would be circumcised by postulated guesses in the history books. We'll lose our dignity passed on to us by our ancestors. These days social media is quite popular. Follow any such handles which inculcate religious values.
If this article has helped you, I'll be highly obliged.

Become A Part (Virtually) of our Bhaiya Doj Celebrations
Just after two days of Diwali comes Bhaiya Doj. It's a beautiful festival celebrated for the re-union or get together of brothers and sisters. This Article is not going to be much long. I'm just going to get you familiar with the background of this festival and how we celebrated it.
How was the celebration of Bhaiya Doj started? As per the Hindu history, Suryadev's wife was Sangya Devi. She had two children, Yamuna and Yam. Yam is also known as Yamaraj, who found Yamlok where terrible people are punished for their misdeeds after their deaths. While Yamuna took the form of a river. Sangya Devi couldn't bear the scorching heat of her husband so she left and came on Earth as Tapti river. Suryadev married Chhaya Devi from whom he had Shanidev.Yam hadn't seen Yamuna since a long time, so he sent his servants to search for her. Finally, he found her on the Vishram Ghat in Mathura. They reunited and from that day, Bhaiya Doj started.
Another story is featured about two men begin on a journey to meet former's sister on Bhaiya Doj, there the latter finds himself a sworn sister. Due to some illness related to snake he falls sick and his sworn sister leaves her home to nurture him for twelve years. After he recovers, he insists her to go with him to his home. His mother had already lost six sons and expected the destiny to take the seventh one as well. To break the spell, the sworn sister does all the unlucky deeds during his activities thus finally getting the lives of all her seven brothers and six sisters-in-law.How is Bhaiya Doj Celebrated?
On Bhaiya Doj, sisters paste vermilion on their brothers' foreheads and then further stick rice on them. Brothers give cash or kind to their sisters after which the sisters feed them with any sweet and gift raw coconuts (gole) to them. Our Bhaiya Doj CelebrationYesterday, my maternal uncle arrived with his children. We got a lot of pictures clicked. A few of them are there. Yesterday, my camera got no chance, my sisters as well as my cousin have got their new phones this diwali so everyone was interested in experimenting with their own. Let me tell you the camera and phones we used to click the pictures this diwali.Mom- Oppo Reno 2Z (Click here to check it out)Palak di- One Plus 7T (Click here to check it out)Shreya Di- One Plus 7 (Click here to check it out)Gopal- Iphone 11 (Click here to check it out)Me- Samsung J8 (Click here to check it out) and Nikon D3200 (Click here to check it out)Unfortunately I seriously have no account as to which picture was taken from which phone as we made a whatsapp group in which each of us shared our pictures so they were all mixed up.

Do You Know How Much Time I Give To My Content?
I recently saw my college's instagram post in my feed stating that they were looking for bloggers who would review the university. Along with it, a whatsapp number was given. I don't know whose number was it; it might have been of someone from college's PR department itself, anyone from office administration staff, anyone from faculty or even any senior.
I just wrote, "Hey, I would love to blog about (My college's name). What is your payscale?"
His immediate reply was, "That's great, send us your name, department, batch and email id and I'll get back to you shortly." which was followed by another sentence, " This is an unpaid internship. "
Alas! the tricky mindset. I was firmly resolved which made me reply very quickly, " It's okay. Actually I'm professional in this regard, so I charge a small fee. I understand your situation anyway. "
He asked me, " Okay. Are you still interested? Are you an alumni? "
My final reply was, " No. No, I'm a first semester student. "
This answer was followed with blue double ticks and no reply. The person on the receiving hand might have faced the first person answering against his institutionalized wickedness.
This poses a serious question, Is a blogger's content cheap and easily available? No, obviously not. We've to work so hard to craft our content.
How Much Time I Give To My Content? At some points of time, I get my ideas naturally. At another patch of time, I suffer from writers' block and I've to chase for ideas. I read often and surf on Internet and Instagram often to find inspiration.
When the post is photo oriented, It's usually comprised of 500 or less words.

Whenever you have to get someone's service for free, label it as an unpaid internship. Claim to give the interns exposure and experience, exploitation will follow.I'm writing this article as a blogger still struggling to find my living. I'm going to discuss, How much time I give to the content you get from my side.
How Much Time I Give To My Content? At some points of time, I get my ideas naturally. At another patch of time, I suffer from writers' block and I've to chase for ideas. I read often and surf on Internet and Instagram often to find inspiration.
On an average, the probable time required to find ideas, seek inspiration and gather information is 1.5 hours. After, I have an idea and related information in my mind, if that topic requires me to photograph, it takes 1 hour or more.
Still, on an average, it can be considered that photography requires 1 hour of time. After I have my pictures, I have to convert the RAW files to JPG. Conversion is followed by editing. I'm not quite intensive in this regard, but this stage is still prominent. A picture is sixty per cent clicked and forty per cent edited.
Editing and conversion of pictures take 1 hour on an average. After, editing and conversion, the content has to be posted. I start writing the article on my blog. Usually, if the article is text oriented, it is usually anywhere between 500-1000 words but sometimes it can exceed even more.
When the post is photo oriented, It's usually comprised of 500 or less words.
On an average, writing a blog post requires 2 hours on an average. My work is not over just after publishing the blog post. I've to share it across many spaces like my whatsapp story, instagram story, pinterest, indivine, twitter etc. To rank better and attract readers, I've to maintain a reputation among my readers. Sharing the posts generates backlinks. I also have to craft a campaign to inform my subscribers about my blog's whereabouts.
Sharing of articles and backlink generation requires 1 hour on an average.Summing UpYou can add the time which I told you is required at different stages of content creation. 1.5 hours of finding inspiration+ 1 hour of photographing + 1 hour of editing and conversion+ 2 hours of composing a blog post.+ 1 hour of sharing, backlink generation and campaign crafting____________________________________________________ 6.5 hoursYou see, what I do is 6.5 hours of work. You must be sensible enough to understand that I don't work this hard to provide someone free content. If you want to work with me, keep in mind, I charge a fee. How is Diwali Celebrated in West UP Households?

How is Diwali Celebrated in West UP Households? What I'm telling you might vary from culture to culture. In India, culture is not bound to demographics, there are many factors. We've various sects and varnas to determine the cultural processions.
I'm telling you according to what happens in a typical West Uttar Pradesh's Aggrawal Vanik /Baniya /Vaishya household.
Every year, a statue or two is bought and is displayed. Suppose if you bring one to your home, you must also display all the statues accumulated in the previous years.
Lamps are lit.

On Chhoti Diwali, Lamps are offered in the names of your local (Gram devi-devta) and family gods-goddesses (Kul Devi-Devta)
and ancestors (Pitra).

While on Badi Diwali, Rice Puffs(Kheel) and Sugar Bubbles (Batashe) are offered on the name of former.

Hypothetical Statues of houses are displayed signifying household prosperity . They are known as Hatdi.

Now, I'd like you to enjoy some more candids.

As per Guruprasad.net, "The harmonic vibration patterns manifests into pleasing sounds which can soothe the mind. Similarly, in the visual domain, we have corresponding harmonics for every frequency which when combined, leads to artistic patterns which are pleasing to see and have a calming effect. " In simpler words, Rangoli is a pictorial representation of harmonic sound waves, which when seen can calm the mind.I used Geru (Ochre) to make the rangoli, it is a clay which has a high amount of iron oxide.

The Best Oil to Treat Pores and Marks of Your Skin
The lives of our generation is a sedentary one. Apart from this, we've got so many problems to deal with; the pollution, stress and chaos. We eventually forget to look at ourselves and to realize that we are supposed to be conscious of our body. Since, our body is the temple of living god, it should be healthy, both from inside and outside. It's been two months, that I shifted away from home to continue my education. The food, I agree, I didn't find of good quality anywhere these days. The poor diet started affecting my hair and skin gradually. My Acne, enlarged pores, marks and hairfall are a specimen of this.People love to hide their blemishes by heavy cosmetics which in turn cause more havoc. Hiding is not any solution, treatment is.I recently got to work with NatureSure, A brand under the WET&DRY Personal Care Pvt. Ltd. Not just me, formal clothing is an irritation to many.
This is the landscape of globalization as a result of which all the long followed stereotypes are slowly being discarded.
Such is the case with clothing. Now, as soon as time will pass; people will figure out the universal truth that mindset is what that matters, clothing doesn't (since it is ephemeral).
Now, even big business leaders and renowned personalities appear in front of media and masses in their clothes of comfort. They include shorts as well.
These days, I'm working towards doing a research on ' The Acceptance and Prevalence of Shorts Among Men in Formal Culture'. For this, I need more people to participate.

5 Things Which Are Troubling My Mind These Days
It was World Mental Health Day two days ago. Many people were posting about self care, so perhaps I thought that I should also go with the flow. I'm absolutely fit mentally. But the fact is that the mental health is definitely not secluded to people who are depressed or ill. It can be extended to those who are feeling bad or are sad about anything.
What's Going Over My Mind? From Delhi, I came to Dehradun so as to be destined to face so many chaos; though I was fortunate enough to envision some hilarious moments as well, such as, when people were staring at me, gazing at me or withdrawing their eyes while keeping their attention still at me.
I was on my seventh sky of imagination last year when it came to think of college life. I expected some sort of professionalism, which is excessively missing and personality development, even the existing is on the verge of extinction.
I found the curriculum lacking any sort of innovation. It's still just a culture cram and retch on the answer sheet.
What I Realized About Our Schooling Education System?I indeed took it as a souvenir of self actualization. Everyone around me was just joking for twelve years. Right from the first standard, we were asked to memorize our chapters and write them in our exams. We were supposed to be really blessed and happy, if we got good marks. When we got good marks, it was a sort of momentary bliss. After which, there was a trap of cramming for the next class. In tenth standard, entire year, we had no spare time for our creativity. I'm still a sort of exception, because I participated in two skits. Blogging was just in beginning stage then. I've never given academics that value to be stressed, though I was enough meritorious.
The way our elders bragged about being meritorious in tenth's academics, I didn't find it real. After I got my 10 CGPA, I soon realized that within a week, my family were fed up of praising me. Within a month, friends and relatives had to stop. By the next month, no one in school talked about that batch's student's academics. Hence, from the next month, we were supposed to start preparing for another rat race, i.e, eleventh standard examinations. By then, I was sure, that the certificate was just a piece of paper which would just give a momentary smile, whenever it is looked upon.
Now, it holds no value except being an identity proof and that it got me a scholarship of 10k which wasn't enough to pay even one quarter of school fees.
5 Things Which Are Troubling My Mind And How I'm Overcoming Them.1. My Vocabulary is decliningOnce, when I was in eleventh standard (commerce), a friend of mine who was in science class and had our tenth standard English teacher as their present one told me that she said while teaching to them that "Shiv Sangal is an alive dictionary as he has the best vocabulary I've ever seen."But Alas! Look at me now, I'm using merely prosaic words in my compositions. A significant part of my vocabulary is passive, worse than I expect.I'm learning Sanskrit these days to get back on the track. Click to read this article to know more.
2. My Reading Speed is decliningAnother of my English Teachers said that "Shiv has the fastest reading speed in the class." because at that time I could read a 200 paged book in one sitting, classic texts being an exception. But, on the first month of my entry to the college life, I found that I couldn't read more than 50-100 pages in a day.I've recently started to get back to my reading habit. You can buy my favorite reads by clicking here.3. Attention Span is DecreasingMany a times, I feel sleepy while studying or my mind seems to wander elsewhere. I don't know the reason why as I don't have any distractions around.4. Creativity is vanishingHome sickness is always present somewhere in my mind. Sometimes, my life has become quite monotonous as I'm just left to go from college to hostel and from hostel to college. Earlier, I used to have creative ideas, but now they're hard to come by.5. Cramming Culture is RampantI didn't expect this whim to follow me to the college as well, but it did. What is expected in exams is length. If you write the same matter in a context of less words, you won't be awarded what is your right, i.e, marks. This has nothing to do with education. This is unprofessional. This kind of education system makes it hard to create great personalities. To learn new things, students opt for other sources and learn negative things as well. These days, I find every student cheating in exams.I find every other student using abusive language full of curses. No one offends. Web series are full of curses. No one is offended. Viners and meme-makers are covered even by decent media agencies. Decent people who post decent content find no one interested in them, they're starved of the praise they deserve.

How is Dussehra Celebrated in North Indian Households
Dussehra or Vijaydushmi is a festival which is celebrated on 10th day of the shukl paksh of the hindi month 'Ashwin'. On this day, Lord Rama killed Ravana. Many people in entire Hindu prominent regions burn effigies of Ravana to celebrate the victory. Since my Dussehra holidays are going on, I'm still at home. Moreover, I can now feel the creative juices flowing again in my brain. That's why I'm writing this blog post.In this post, I suppose to tell you how is Dussehra celebrated in North Indian Households. Though, this is not completely practical to say that these traditions are in every home, as the customs may vary from community to community and caste to caste. What I'm explaining to you is based on how North Indian Baniyas/Vaniks/Vaishyas (Synonyms for the corporate community of India) celebrate Dussehra.First of all, A symbolic image of Lord Rama is drawn. Traditionally, it is drawn with flour on floor or any flagon. But, since, nowadays, everyone is busy, the same figure can be drawn on a paper with pen.On the figure, 10 balls made of cow dung are kept. In absence of cow dung, Wheat flour balls can be kept.As Dussehra succeeds Navratri, during Navratri grass of either wheat or barley is grown. They are then kept on the balls. On another paper, Ram, Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughn are drawn symbolically. Some strands of grass are kept in the books and tied with the weapons as well.Lakshmi ji and Ganesh Ji are worshipped as well.
Dussehra PoojanAfter the puja, a parikrama is done around the pooja sthan. A diary is maintained on which every Dussehra the then prevalent rates of some commodities are mentioned. The signatures of all the present family members are recorded. This practice is really beneficial, and we can trace this tradition to our ancestors ideology of keeping regular economic and genealogical record.
Sweets are distributed as prasad.
Sweets are the soul of Indian Festivals.Afterwards, Sisters keep the grown wheat/barley grass, which are also called 'norte' on their brothers' right ears.
Though, not very famous but Dussehra is really a beautiful festival.

5 Reasons Why You Should Learn Sanskrit

I must explain the climax of my Sanskrit mania just like any TV serial.
The story began when I just changed my college. Mom and Dad had come to drop me at my new college and there on the notice board they saw a poster which informed about various classes on different foreign languages starting from Rs. 2k to 6k. My parents insisted me to pursue those courses. I said, I will think about them.
After, they departed, I started to think about the prospective languages I could learn. I had learnt French when I was in eighth standard and now I don't have a speck in my mind. To learn any language, it's extremely necessary to keep practicing and communicating in it. Without it, the language is lost.
I thought that learning of foreign languages might secure a job in MNC for me. Other than that, I didn't find any use of it. Moreover, kif I don't get a job, the money spent wouldn't be worth it.
Then, an idea clicked my mind. Why shouldn't I learn the origin of all the languages? I decided to learn Sanskrit. Learning Sanskrit is easy and cheap in India. Let's talk about Sanskrit here.
Why You Should Learn Sanskrit?1. FamiliarityAs an Indian, you'll be able to learn sanskrit in relatively less efforts as compared to any foreigner. Sanskrit words and grammar are directly or indirectly the part of almost every language particularly of Indian Languages. So, you'll find it relatively easy. Moreover, communication is also possible in India.2. Good for HealthLearning Sanskrit requires the usage of all of your facial muscles and vocal cords. It can treat your problem of stammering or tote. It can improve your pronunciation.3. Conserving The CultureSanskrit is the soul of our culture. All of our primeval religious and social literature is written in Sanskrit. It was the language of the courts before middle eastern and western influences. These days, people are oriented in such a way so as to feel ashamed in embracing their culture.By learning Sanskrit, you'll break all those indoctrinations. It is written nowhere and is thus ultimately false that Sanskrit is just for the Pundits or Priests. Religious literature is for everyone.4. Your Own Point of ViewSome people say that why would they learn Sanskrit when they could read translated texts. But, let me tell you that whenever, you read any translated text, you lose two things. First things first, you aren't able to appreciate the beauty of the writing style. Secondly you automatically inherit the viewpoint of the translator. For e.g. To puzzle up Ganesh ji, Mehrshi Ved Vyas composed 800 such shlokas in Mahabharata such that they interpret into a complicated and different meaning everytime they're read.If you read in Sanskrit, the opinion is your own.5. OpportunitiesI think, I don't need to explain this point. You must research it on your own. Google about all the universities and schools in abroad where Sanskrit is taught. You'll be amazed by the stats. In many management colleges, Bhagvad Gita is taught for boosting the leadership skills. Sanskrit is used in research work. It's demand is increasing day by day. If you've it in your resume, it surely is going to have a great impact.
