Glyphicons
A set of "precisely prepared monochromatic icons and symbols" by Jan Kovařík. His notes about the motivation behind the icons describe his efforts to modernize the iconic symbols created by AIGA and Apple. Seems like a good companion to the Glyphish icons.

Feedback Details in the Basecamp Mobile Experience
This write-up shows some smart thinking by the 37signals team in regards to Basecamp Mobile. If the mobile web is ever to compete against the Objective-C web, this is how mobile web experiences need to be created.

Throwing Water
I own a copy of Shinichi Maruyama's sold-out book, Kusho, and it's glorious. This is the same idea but in motion. I could watch 30 minutes of this, not just 30 seconds.
The images are captured with a Phase One P45 camera and a Broncolor Strobe. More details about the artist and his work can be found in this interview with The Morning News.

Campaign Monitor is Hiring
I was considering waxing poetically about the design of this micro-site, but I'll cut to the chase and just say this: This is ace. This is how you create interest in and start a conversation on working for a great company.
See the openings at Campaign Monitor listed on Authentic Jobs: Senior Web Designer and User Interface Designer.

NoteSlate
An A4-sized eInk sketchpad. Love the concept, and I could very much see myself purchasing one. But the deal breaker will be syncing. Reading through the technical notes, wi-fi seems to be an add-on, which means syncing will probably be done by USB or SD card. If that's the case, it's unlikely I'll drop $100 on one.

Verizon iPhone: "Most Successful Launch Day in History"
It's full of corporate fluff, as you might expect. But here's the gist of Friday's press release:
'This was an exciting day,' said Dan Mead, president and chief executive officer for Verizon Wireless. 'In just our first two hours, we had already sold more phones than any first day launch in our history. And, when you consider these initial orders were placed between the hours of 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., it is an incredible success story. It is gratifying to know that our customers responded so enthusiastically to this exclusive offer — designed to reward them for their loyalty.'
