Self-Care & Support

I hope that those of you stateside are enjoying a gentle Memorial Day.

The weather here in DC was dreamy the past few days so we hit the farmers’ market (it’s strawberry season!), hosted a friend and her big fluffy white dog for wine and cheese on the patio, and hit a brunch spot for iced tea and croissants.

Today I’m playing catch up on a variety of projects before I enjoy tea time with a friend and end the day with clients.

These experiences have helped soothe an aching soul. It’s been an emotional few weeks, so self-care and support (here and here) are critical right now.

I know most of my readers here are empaths and deep feelers. While we are resilient and have gotten through a traumatic two plus years already, these mass shootings and the war in Ukraine plus suffering on the micro level (your personal life) takes a toll.

Please be gentle with yourself. Stay hydrated. Nap. Reach out. Donate. Get involved in the Wear Orange Movement. Take a media detox. Check in on others.

We can make change. And it starts from within. Then let it spread out far and wide. x
