New Release: Once a Month

After over a year of posting my serial erotica on the website, it is now available for purchase on Amazon.

It’s my first ever erotica novel, and I wasn’t even sure I should write it in the beginning, but I’m glad I did because the response was overwhelmingly positive.

If you read it on my site and liked it, you can now pick up your very own copy in e-book, paperback, and hardcover. Sorry, no audiobook for this one. Tell your friends and leave reviews if you don’t mind. This helps more people...

Flashback: Just Tell Her

My wife has always said that when I start going to Thursday morning coffee with Ember, Hailey, and Charlie for real, she’ll know I’ve gone crazy. I love my characters, and that’s especially true for some of the first ones I created.

I’ve said this a lot, but The Chicago Series wasn’t supposed to be a series. I wrote Fresh Start as a stand-alone and then, wrote Eva’s story. While I was writing The Best Lines, I got the idea that Eva could be friends with Hannah and Alyssa from Fresh Start, but t...

Flashback: Reality Check

What made me want to write a book about a reality show? I honestly have no idea. I haven't watched reality TV in years; maybe even over a decade ago. Unless you count Top Chef or FaceOff. (Yeah, that's reality TV, I know.) But I hadn't watched The Real World Road Rules Challenge since before they started naming them things like The Gauntlet, Battle of the Sexes, The Inferno, and on and on and on. (I totally had to look those season titles up just now).

Anyway… For whatever reason, I kept pictur...

Flashback: The Block Party

When I outlined The Holiday Series, I knew I wanted each book to have its own feel. For example, with The Writing on the Wall, Weston is the calming influence on the friend group and is the level-headed one. She was a good character to start with to introduce the rest of the friends, and that includes Talon, who’s a little all over the place. So, I didn’t want Talon to be the lead in, but I thought it would be cool to have her book intersect a bit with Weston’s since they’re best friends and use...

Who Holds the Power?

When I first decided to self-publish, I must admit, I was in the dark about some policies of the platform I chose to self-publish with. I’ll talk about a couple of these policies now and how they provide what I call “the power at the top of the funnel.” Now, there’s also power at “the bottom of the funnel,” and you might be wondering where the author lives in the funnel. It’s in the middle, where there’s very little actual power. Let me explain.

Much has been said, especially recently, about tw...

New Release: The Fireworks

Aria’s book is a special one for me because it’s my wife’s favorite of The Holiday Series. She usually reads at night after I go to sleep and, apparently, she was surprised that I didn’t wake up because she was sobbing at certain parts. I promise that Aria and London get a happy ending, but it’s a tough road for them to get there. Meeting as teenagers and being torn apart meant that both of them thought they’d have to find their ways without the other, but a meeting at Fourth of July fireworks c...

Flashback: No After You

Most people know about the inspiration for No After You. It came from All the Love Songs, and one day, I decided that I needed to write Dani and Peyton’s story.

What you might not know though, is that I’d never written a prequel before, so this book took some trial and error. I’ve talked about before how I wrote the first portion of the book and let my wife read it, and she told me it wasn’t there yet, so I basically started over. What I haven’t said before is that I’d just started writing. I’d...

Flashback: All the Love Songs

Let's flashback to that time when I wrote the first draft of All the Love Songs in a long weekend, shall we?

This was one of the first novels I wrote that I published, and had I had a crystal ball to know how successful and impactful this book would be, I would’ve published it earlier. The writer's doubt hit me hard on that one and, really, the others that I'd finished up until that point. It was my wife who encouraged me to publish and set everything up on Amazon to get the book out there to e...
