My Review - A Warriner to Seduce Her (The Wild Warriners #4)

This is part 4 of a saga by Virginia Heath. I started at the wrong end, so I did get a bit confused. This is of course my fault for not going back and reading 1, 2 and 3! Despite that, I liked Ms. Blunt though - absolutely!
The Good
Strong women, even younger women who are supposed to be 'greener than grass' can have their own opinions. This book champions that.
The Bad
I didn't like the prologue. The mother's eyes and those kinds of things made me hate Jacob. He feels sorry for his mother's death and guilty and at the start of the book, I blamed him too. I nearly stopped reading as when he was asked to seduce a child (who wasn't that much of a child).... it got a bit too much! I need to fall in love with the protagonist pretty quickly, but then I love chicklit style books, and this was a change (apart from Ms. Blunt, who could have been a character in a lot of good books).
Sorry for going on a bit here!!
The Ugly
I am glad that I finished this book. There are a lot of sub-plots and twists and because it is not my usual type of reading - I had to re-read a few things. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it - I did enjoy parts of it, very much!
What does this mean?
Well, I might not have liked the start - but I enjoyed the end!

My Review The Weekend Spa Break - Anne John-Ligali
I warmed to this book about friendships and betrayal. I think I am a bit too old and boring for this type of glitzy lifestyle! I did enjoy this a lot more than the first book though.
The Good
This is classic women's friendship fiction with a bit of a love triangle. I loved the cover and everything about the image of a Weekend Spa Break but I think that the juicy bits were a bit short.. (see the Ugly, below)
The Bad
I am not sure I liked the tense of the book. Maybe because I can't write like that myself! I do applaud authors who can though, but I prefer reading in the past tense.
The Ugly
Well, actually the ugly bit about Maxwell and what happened at Glitzy's was my favorite part. It picked up the pace and gave the whole book a bit of swing.

3-5 to 4 Stars!
I read this as part of a blog tour for an honest review and I look forward to the conclusion.

Relationship Resuscitation is a SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE type of book! It is also the perfect book gift for anyone having a Silver Wedding Anniversary or turning 50 years old and still married. I have two children and could relate to quite a few things in this book!
The Good!
Good golly! I didn't know what to expect when I picked up this book! But I did know that it hit all my sweet spots... not too long, a little bit sexy and a couple story. I love reading chick-lit about finding love so this was a bit different, it was about a couple that is together - staying together. Even though it is quite sexy, it is in that sort of inspirational, save your marriage category too!
The Bad!
To set the scene at the start of the book there was a lot of telling. But I enjoyed it and it was easy to read. The author did well to layer cake the start so that understanding the type of relationship the couple had was simple when the actual story took off. I don't want to add any spoilers but I really did laugh out loud at a few scenes. I wish the small incident at the hotel played out a bit more and that was fabulous... I wanted more!!
The Ugly!
Bum wax? Is there even such a thing! Good grief!!
I am 45 years old and will have to read this again at 50 or when I hit my Silver Wedding Anniversary!
5 Stars from me! I read it all in one sitting - perfect book for on the way to work or beach.
My Blog Tour Review of Rachel���s Random Resources! @rararesources
Wow! What an amazing week. I had my second ever blog tour and the first tour managed by Rachel. I know that a lot of new authors have little knowledge about blog tours and so I thought I would write this review of Rachel���s Random Resources to help people choose.
What did I expect?
I had no idea what to expect. The first blog tour, I managed to get a few reviews but only six people signed up and I thought that was the price I had to pay for being an indie author. Also, the cover and blurb were all wrong. I had to do them again. This second tour was different as my book already had some reviews.
The Good!
The tour was magnificent! I had a few promo posts and a few reviews. It was managed well and there was a list of what I could expect on a daily basis. Rachel is an active member of the Facebook group Book Connectors, which I have also joined. Everyone in the group is friendly and the organic re-tweets of my posts were worth it.
The Bad!
Not all of the reviews that I received were positive. Some shockingly terrible! But that is fine. I think that comes with a blog tour. I would not let that put you off booking a blog tour if you are an indie author.
The Ugly!
I didn���t want the tour to stop. I loved the publicity and really enjoyed every minute. So, not exactly lovely but damn near emotional! A massive thank-you to everyone who took part. I appreciate all the opinions and love #bookbloggers!
Verdict?

My Review - The Penance List by S.C. Cunningham
Oh my goodness! The Penance List is so fast-paced, I fell off the bed reading it! I have to admit it is not my usual cup of tea and I don't really like blood and guts. But this was well written and had tempo so you don't dwell on the "gore bits".
The Good
Great style, lots of action and intrigue. What a change from romance and I honestly do think that I could fall in love with this genre. I am glad I took a chance on it.
The Bad
Somethings put me off my dinner... but I am pretty sure that is the genre and the author wanted that!!
The Ugly
There was so much in this book; I realized I am a little old mumsy type! (Can often be confused with an old fart!) But that doesn't mean the book was ugly. I don't know how, but I enjoyed it!
A great read! 5 Stars... Dare I say, I want more?!!!

My Review Manhattan Millionaires Cinderella by Sun Chara
This blurb of this book was great. The first two chapters compelling and very fast paced. The hook super and I dived in eyes wide open! Well done to the author on a brilliant start!
The Good.
A short read that will take you to exotic places around the world. This is no great mystery but a fun love story and is well written.
The Bad.
This is personal. I didn't like Cade Sloan. There was nothing about him that I found appealing. He was a bully and he got what he deserved. I didn't understand the sexual attraction to someone who only wanted a fast deal.
The Ugly.
I think I am jealous of Nina's shoe fetish!
A quick fun read - but didn't knock me for six.
