Six-Year-Old Girl Arrested; 14-Year-Old Honestie Hodges Dies
As I said in my previous post, why was this child arrested? What could she possibly have done to warrant her being taken out of her classroom and led away in handcuffs?
Did she kill somebody?
Then there was Honestie Hodges, who was handcuffed at the age of 11. Sadly, she has now died of covid-19.
Go here for my blog post.

Injustice: The Film the Police Tried to Ban
My guest on a recent edition of my Success Strategies online radio show was Ken Fero, the director of Injustice.
You have probably heard of, or seen, Injustice, Fero's film about seven UK families that are still fighting for justice after a family member died in police custody. The police tried to ban this film - every time a cinema was scheduled to screen it, the police would phone them 15 minutes beforehand and tell them not to show it.
Go here for my interview with Ken Fero. In addition to Injustice, he talked about his new film, Ultraviolence.
For more about Ken Fero and Injustice, see also: Ken Fero on Deaths in Police Custody.
See also: Protecting Our Communities.

Black History: What's Haunting YOU?
As it is Halloween, our theme is ? What's Haunting YOU?
What's with all the Black programming on UK TV since the killing of George Floyd? I have some serious questions about this.
It's Black History Month/African Heritage Month in the UK.
We are also discussing issues from the Blogging Carnival for Nonviolence, especially blogs that have been read aloud. Please join us if you can.
If you have not had a chance to listen to the readings, go here to listen to them.
I also spoke with Ken Fero, filmmaker whose film, Injustice, the police tried to ban back in 2001. Now, in 2020, these issues still haunt us. Go here to listen to this converation.
Ceri Buckmaster read from her blog post, "A Letter on the Anniversary of the Shooting of Cherry Groce". Cherry Groce's shooting has parallels with the killing of Breonna Taylor earlier this year.
How do you feel about these issues? What is your response to the readings?
Carla Cherrry read her very powerful poem, "For the Lovers". And Zelda Speaks and I read several blog posts.
Plus, what's with all the Black programming on UK TV since the killing of George Floyd? I have some serious questions about this.
