Radio Show: How Can We Create a Peaceful World?

I invite you to listen in and phone in to my radio show on Saturday 6th June.  The theme will be "How Can We Create a Peaceful World?".  In the wake of the recent killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, we have much to discuss.

I believe the show starts at 9 a.m. Central Time.  Details are provided at the links below.  Listeners are invited to phone in for Parts 1 and 3.  Part 2 is an interview I recently recorded with Carthenia Jefferson of Black Women for Positive Change.

Below are the links for the three parts.  Please share these with your networks. I hope you will join us!

What's with all the Black programming on UK TV since the killing of George Floyd? I have some serious questions about this.

It's Black History Month/African Heritage Month in the UK.

We are also discussing issues from the Blogging Carnival for Nonviolence, especially blogs that have been read aloud. Please join us if you can.

If you have not had a chance to listen to the readings, go here to listen to them.

I also spoke with Ken Fero, filmmaker whose film, Injustice, the police tried to ban back in 2001. Now, in 2020, these issues still haunt us. Go here to listen to this converation.

Ceri Buckmaster read from her blog post, "A Letter on the Anniversary of the Shooting of Cherry Groce". Cherry Groce's shooting has parallels with the killing of Breonna Taylor earlier this year.

How do you feel about these issues? What is your response to the readings?

Carla Cherrry read her very powerful poem, "For the Lovers". And Zelda Speaks and I read several blog posts.
