Day 3,645: Bedtime

I love, truly, that Joy has a bedtime. She has ever since she was a pup. Round about ten o’clock, it is sleep time. Joy bot shutdown. If Liz and I are making a late night of it watching something, she’s on the couch, but otherwise she’s in bed, up between our pillows where she sleeps, passed the eff out. It’s so cute and so cozy.

It was cool enough tonight for us to open up the sliding doors and run the fan to get our bedroom down to the temp we like. LOVE THAT. The weather should be cooling ...

Day 3,644: Breach

Man. Aliens is so good. How is that movie SO GOOD? And it’s a SEQUEL? It’s wild.

Watched that for the old spooky season tonight. Twas a grand old time.

I’m back to normal today, for the most part. A little tired, but it’s head spinning to have been so flattened yesterday and feeling so sick…and then back on my feet today feeling pretty much completely normal. It’s WILD. It really is our immune response that makes us feel sick. The symptoms of a fever and aches and all that, anyway. I wonde...

Day 3,643: Fever

Man. This booster knocked me on my ASS today. I spent the day in bed, all feverish and achy, passed the eff out. What a blur. And then, like a miracle, right around 24 hours from getting my shot, the fever burned off and the aches went away. I’m still wiped…but I don’t feel sick anymore. Brain is working again. I’m hoping I can get a good night’s sleep and be back to normal tomorrow.

Whew!

But…so glad I’m boosted. It’s a relief.

Day 3,642: Boosted!

Got my covid and flu shots today. I’m all boosted up! Or…at least I will be in two weeks. Right in time for the writers’ conference.

Worked on that some today. Presentations are starting to roll in from speakers. Still a metric shit ton to follow up with, but the process has started. Still a ton to do. I have so much to do, it’s kind of freezing – like, overload, you know? But, I’m making a list and then tackling the easiest things on that list to start with. I’ll find a rhythm. Waiting a bit...

Day 3,641: Way To Go

A scattered day, but not in a chaotic sense. In the sense that I got several different things done in several different areas. Work. Check. Coopey new food (and old food returned. Check. Some cleaning. Check. Some 20Books Vegas stuff. Check. Nap. Check. Pups. Check. Watched a little sports. Check.

I’m definitely still recovering from having been so busy with the book. No question. But…I’ll be ready to dive back in soon. Soon.

Night night.

Day 3,640: Exploe

A quick one tonight I think just because I feel like it. Not crazy tired, not super late, none of that. Just…ready to snuggle into bed I guess. Joy is curled up against me. Liz is next to me. We watching some cute IG videos.

It was a great day today. Not much sports, actually, but I got some other stuff done instead. Whew! Night night.

Day 3,639: Transom

I sent off the cleaned up and revised copy of the manuscript to my cowriter today—tonight, I guess—and it’s off to the “just in time” team to read and make sure we didn’t miss anything too egregious. I do have a couple more very, very minor tweaks to make…but the big milestone I reached today was that I came up with a solution to a plot hole that I’m rather happy with. And it was pretty easy. I think it makes a lot of sense. We’ll see.

Watched Us today, amongst it all. A few sittings. I was…a...

Day 3,538: So Weird

Making this a short one because it is bed time and I have to get my ass up in the morning to get this book done.

Took Coops to get his eye checked and it’s healed! He had a little ulcer there that they cleaned out, gave us some antibiotic drops, and now he’s all good. Whew!

Slept in. Took a nap. Still tired. But, so worth it to go see Tale of Us last night.

Night night.

Day 3,637: Tale of Us

Got to see Tale of Us tonight at the LA historic park and it was DOPE. Their visuals are top notch. Anyma is one half of the duo, and he’s been one of our favorite producers lately. He played all the hits. The crowd was chill. Happy to be there. A grand old time.

It’s LATE…so night night.
