Day 3,868: Soft
Needed a saturday like today. Whew! Pretty chill. And by that I mean…I got a good night’s sleep and when I woke up, it was grey outside, overcast, and I had the time and energy to get out into the front yard and finish up the weeding/weed whacking to get things in decent shape for the next few weeks…which is all I wanted for the front yard for now. Just, get it so it doesn’t look like shit, get through this spring season to the point where all those weeds calm the eff down for a while, and then ...

Day 3,867: Confidence
I had a normal day today! lol. Amazing how it feels when you get a full night’s sleep, which I did.
Busy day with work, actually. Got my writing in. And then podcasted with Josh. We were able to meet decently early so that we got out at a decent hour. The movie we watched was fun this time around! Notorious. Ingrid Bergman can get it, man. She’s so, sooo good. Same thing with Cary Grant and Claude Rains. Dynamite trio.
Now…sleep. Night night.

Day 3,866: Cookin
I did that thing this morning where you get up to go pee…thirty minutes before your alarm is supposed to go off. So of course I didn’t fall back asleep. Groooaaannn. But whatevs — I just got up early and did my writing.
I waaasss tired. It wasn’t super duper productive those two hours, but I did do them, and I did get work done. Good work, too. Outline for this first book of the two-parters is getting close. Real close. Just gotta keep at it. Gonna be a banger.
That’s all I got for you ton...

Day 3,865: Another Coops
Woooo howdy I am tired. But damn it was a good day. Work was long, but nothing too bad. Writing was good! Really solid, even. I have one more thing to really flesh out, but I’m super close.
Sleep. Then repeat. Life is good 🙂
Night yall!

It’s bed time, so a quick one…but a good day. A really good day. Wiped! But good.

Night night.

Day 3,863: Holiday
I think today was exactly what I needed, this extra day off. Whew. Committed to a new short-term project with a friend, so that adds a little extra to my plate…but it’s something I haven’t done before, something I’ve always wanted to do. So, that’s exciting! I’m super excited. And nervous. I really hope I can do a good job for my friend.
I got rest. My head space is: let’s go. Let’s get this shit done. That’s a good headspace to be in. It’s time. The weather is starting to get warm. It’s go t...

Day 3,862: Go Time
It was a very pleasant day off today. Little bit of the “what do I do” anxiety that comes sometimes with a day off, where I feel like I should be productive on something. I struggle with that, for sure…but it was mild today. I mostly just watched sports. Racing. Ate junk food. Took a nap. Hung out with the pups. It was a day I needed, and I’m so grateful I have another day like that tomorrow.
But it is go time. I need to get this outline done, and then do the next one. That’s what’s on my min...

Day 3,861: Together
Cooper is always trying to get everyone in the same room, preferably the bedroom. Like, CONSTANTLY. If Liz and I are in separate rooms and, say, he’s with me, every time I get up or otherwise make like I’m going to be leaving, he’ll run to where Liz is, looking over his shoulder as he goes, like trying to make sure that I follow him. And if Liz and I are together anywhere in the house and do the same, he’ll run towards the bedroom. The bedroom is his favorite place in the world. It’s safe there,...

Day 3,860: Dreams
Notorious Book Thieves At Large!
It was a fun movie tonight for the ‘cast. We watched Spellbound. One of Hitch’s best so far. Gregory Peck and Ingrid Bergman. Now, it’s late and time for sleeeeep. Night night 🙂

Day 3,859: The Long Run
Whew. I’m wiped. It was…man, I thought it was going to be a banner day. Turned out to be hit and miss. Not bad! Just not as productive as I thought it might be.
My working drive that I have all my projects on for work died this morning. Just wouldn’t start up. That could have been massively stressful and disastrous…but I got lucky. It happened at almost the perfect time; the project I’m on was easily reconstructable, so I was back up and running in like 30 minutes. Whew! Bullet: dodged. Makes...
