Day 3,824: Teamwork!
SF really is like no other city on the West Coast. It’s an entire city of townhouses, packed in together like it’s Europe. It’s SO CHARMING. Liz’s dad has a beautiful place right in the heart of the city.
Work was busy, slow, and then busy again. Got everything done that I needed to. Whew! Dinner together was nice at a dumpling place…and now sleep. Night night.

Day 3,823: SF
Don’t have WiFi tonight so we’re thumbing it on the old iPhone.
A good trip today, up north to visit Liz’s dad. Drive was great. Easy. Great dinner. Now…sleeeep. Night night.

Day 3,822: Anglianico
Dinner with friends.

Writing. A bit.
Over the hill and back again.
Kitties. Pups.
Chat with Josh.
A nap.
Now…sleep. The bigger nap.

Day 3,821: Pronto Moda
It’s late and I didn’t get my ass up on time today, which led to a zero day of writing…which I hate…so! It’s off to bed with me. Night night.

Day 3,820: Coach Ella
Liz and I spent this weekend, basically, watching the Coachella live streams. Lots of artists that we really love were playing there, and it’s so cool to sit in our living room, surround sound blasting, rocking out like we were actually there. And in a way, it’s even better, because we’re cozy in our own home.
It was a very cozy weekend weather-wise. Grey, cool, and rainy. Not a major storm, but it dumped a decent amount of rain on us. Everything is dripping. We took a pair of naps, saturday ...

Day 3,819: Link
Coachella on YouTube is really really fun. Livestream, so we’re watching it all go down at the same time as everyone else. So. Fun.
Lazy day. Rainy. Took a nap. Rotted.
Night night.

Day 3,818: Some…BODY
Wiped. A really good day today. Got alllll my shit done. Writing was good. Really good. I love my detailed outline. It makes writing the actual book a gd breeze. Spent quality time with Liz. We went and got sweets together after dinner. That was really nice.
Warriors beat the Blazers. They’re finally playing like a legit team. Not title contenders, to be sure, but at least a playoff team. Like, you can see them actually being a piece or two away from being legit contenders again. I honestly d...

Day 3,817: One Day Guest Star
We started Fallout tonight. Watched the first two episodes. It’s fun. Great cold open, actually. Like, very good. I think the tone of the show is a bit up and down—I get it, the game is very gallows humor, it is the end of the world, after all, so it’s not that I dislike the idea of the show matching that kind of glib humor—it just doesn’t always land. More often than not, it doesn’t, actually. And the pacing is off. Too much too fast. Robs us a bit of meeting and falling in love with the charac...

Day 3,816: Ok Baby
Joy took me hostage there for a sec, licking my face. But she’s getting better now that’s she’s growing up in being able to listen when I want her to stop. The compulsion is controllable. And a cute compulsion it is. I love, especially, picking her up by her shoulders and lying her stretched out, belly to my chest, and licking my face. Love it. It’s how I pick her up off the floor. She loves it, too.
Coops, curled up and happy down at the end of the bed. He was my buddy today. Lots of snuggle...

Day 3,815: Ferry
There was a solar eclipse today. Like the one back in 2017–it’s crazy to think it’s been that long since standing up on the roof of our building with a cereal box in-hand, looking at the finger-nail shaped bite that was taken out of the sun—it wasn’t a big to-do here in LA. Not in the path of the “totality” unfortunately. There’s going to be one in NorCal 21 years from now. I think I’ll make sure to go to that one. I’d love to experience something so…colossal, as the sun being blotted from the s...
