Day 3,848: Back Baby

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers. We literally wouldn’t be here without you. That fact is so taken for granted. Thank you.

Had a very nice day today. Got to talk and catch up with my own mom, tell her how grateful I was for the luck I had to have her as my mom. Got to spend time with the pups. Day 3,847: Danger Girl

Busy, social day today. Two parties! One for Joe, who graduated this week from USC’s master playwriting program. So freaking proud of him. It’s going to be weird not having him stay with us a couple days every week. It was such a pleasure having him here, truly. Second party was the birthday of a good friend of our good friend. Kerry is our good friend, and David is one of her besties, and she’s made the trek out to LA often to attend one of his blowout birthday bashes. This one was no exception...

Day 3,845: Burner

I was wiped today. I needed the mental break, so I took it! Back at it tomorrow…I think I’m getting close to halfway done with this outline. That will feel significant I think when I get there; downhill for the rest of it. I hope. Speed bumps can rear their head, for sure. We’ll see.

Day 3,844: Stronger Will

Another productive day. Three in a row. A Christmas miracle! Really what’s going on is that I’m in a rhythm. I’m deep enough into the story that things have decent momentum all on their own. It’s easier to sit down and pick up where I left off. Need to stay in the groove and ride this dang thing out.

Two books. Big story. I can do it.

Wiped, though. No naps so far this week. I’ve been too busy. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow.

Day 3,843: Whole Elephant

Looooong work day today. But, I did it all. Whew. Even had a little time in the evening to watch some basketball. The Thunder look pretty good for how young they are, that’s for sure. I actually think KD should go back there if they don’t win it all this year and help them get their first ring. He’s not a free agent, so that’s very unlikely, but still. That’s how he redeems himself. I can see it.

Day 3,842: Booty

Glorious new sheets. The patio lights twinkling outside, sliding door open letting in the night air. Life is good.

I had a productive day. Lots of Netflix work. All my writing. Snuck in a trip to Costco (and Ralph’s) and the fridge is full again. Pups fed, walked and medicated (Coops is doing so well!). And a nice hang on the couch with Bear. It was a good day. I’m wiped, lol.

Day 3,841: Thrifty

A really good Sunday. We went to this italian deli in Venice and had the most amazing sammy’s. It was a cool, windy day, but the sun was out and the clouds were puffy. Gorgeous.

Lando Norris won the Miami Grand Prix—big bit of luck, for sure, but in the end held onto it and even extended his lead entirely on merit. The McLarens were quick today! It was their first race on their most-recent update, so hopefully this means we’ll get legit fights with Red Bull more often. The racing is SO MUCH m...

Day 3,840: Back Catalogue

The NBA app on Apple TV added something that makes me very excited: all the old seasons. IN FULL. Previously, it was restricted to, like, the previous calendar year on the Apple TV app. You could go back to older seasons on the web browser site version of League Pass, and it worked on the iPad…but not on apple tv. Now it does! Woohoo! I can go back and re-live the Warriors glory days. And I’m going to. Starting with the 2014/15 title run, I think. We’ll see. A salve for how rough the past two se...

Day 3,839: All Too Well

Joy all the way up on my lap, no room for the iPad, so I’m typing this on my phone again. Thanks Joy! Little love bug.

Work was light today, which was nice. I was a bit zonked all day because of the busy week. Got to take a nice little nap towards the end, and then we went and saw The Fall Guy with Liz and Ali, which was so fun. Movie was a little rough around the edges, but ended up working. Very charming. Emily Blunt is a treasure.
