Day 3,784: Hollywood

Hollywood knows how to make a movie, man. Or at least we did by 1940. That’s the year Hitchcock came over to the states to start making movies here, and damn. It is a STEP. UP. For real. Movie is called Rebecca. It was fine overall, but it was a leap from his British period in just…feeling like a complete movie. Popcorn, sit down and be swept away. A million little things that are impossible to put into words and many other things one can articulate that make a movie feel like a movie.

Day 3,783: Thunder

Beautiful day out to start, and then it got super dark grey cloudy around 3 when it was time for therapy…and then there was thunder, lighting, and lots of rain. So wild! We rarely, rarely get weather like that on the coast. I don’t actually know why that is. It certainly happens up in the mountains all the time, but I know it also happens inland in the plains…maybe it’s a humidity thing? Like, our rain is just not as static-y? I dunno. Anyway, it was exciting.

Day 3,782: Bandstands

Joy does not like mouth-trumpet.

Snacks hung out with me in my office for almost an hour today, and snuggled up close to me by the curtains, even. That’s the first time he’s EVER done anything like that, especially choosing to come close to me and settle down for a snooze. A landmark day. I’ll try to encourage him to come into my office more often. Maybe, eventually, he’ll be my office cat.

It’s super late already so cutting this short, but it was a solid day. Night night.

I did it. Three fuuuuuuuudgin hours of writing. Came up with some good stuff, too. Fun stuff. Stuff I’m looking forward to writing. Shit is going DOWN.

Work was busy today. Busier than usual, but only because I’m onboarding a couple new projects. Looking forward to them. Fun stuff there.

Pups are great. Bear is great. Gotta start taxes…lol.

Worked late. But it was cool because I’d missed a message late last week that meant someone else was pulled in to handle a last-minute thing and I felt bad about that…and got to be the guy to swoop in and help out this time around. It all balances out. I dig that.

Restless night’s sleep, so I was a bit behind it all today. Sigh. Aiming for a kickass day tomorrow.

Had a good day off today, thank lawd. It’s bed time, though, so I’m clocking out!

Tommen went home. I watched F2 for the first time and enjoyed it. Much more competitive than F1, actually. Lots more racing. Had a good nap. Read a bit. Cleaned a bit. Had Pho.
