Day 3,882: Trash Badge

Joy and Sunny are so cute together. Not even just together, which they are—they play so well with each other—but they’re each just so damn cute. Sunny is definitely easing into being in our house; way less on alert all the time, has her favorite spots to hang out in, etc. And she’s really seeking cuddles lately. She loves her snoot to be scritched; she’ll plow her face into your hand asking for them, in fact, which is so funny. And she’s really started enjoying me giving her “hugs,” holding her ...

Day 3,881: Beans

What a week. Busy. Big time busy. But a really, genuinely solid week. I made a lot of progress this week, and I dare say I didn’t burn myself out. I hope I didn’t, anyway. We’ll see how the weekend goes. Doesn’t feel like I did. Still plenty of work to do.

Podcasted with Josh. That was lovely. Had some really great discussions. Watched a…an interesting movie from Hitch in that it really flopped in its ending, and it turned out in the research that he didn’t even edit the movie. His producer d...

Day 3,880: Price Is right

A little late tonight getting into bed, but only because we had such a nice dinner out with our friends Alex and Nicole. Love those two!

Another really, really solid writing day. I finished out the rough sketch of the whole book…now its just going back through and giving some life to each of the scenes; enough for me to go on when I actually sit down to write them.

And now that I have the outline like this, I really want to just write the book, lol. And I might. It depends. I really feel i...

Day 3,879: This Is How We Do It

Finally. A solid day of writing. Whew! A really, really good day. I got to the end of this battle, finally. And it’s great. It’s great. It’s exactly what I wanted it to be. Stands on its own…and then when we launch into part two, it raises the stakes that much higher. Like, insane. EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED.

Joy and Sunny are wrestling right now on the bed. They’re so freaking funny together. Like, they LOVE EACH OTHER. Love love love. They play together so well. Just the right amount of intensit...

Day 3,878: Squeaky

Struggle with the writing today. Didn’t get up on time and just couldn’t recover. Sigh. Back at it tomorrow. Going to bed on time.

Otherwise a fine day. Got my work done. Got some snacks. Spent some time with Bear.

Night night.

Day 3,877: snore

A weird day. Got some work done but not a lot. We started a new show called Scavenger’s Reign and it’s so good! So weird, but in a great way.

Need a nice good nights sleep and back up in the AM. Night night.

Day 3,876: Sunny

We have a pup staying over with us! Her name is Sunny, she’s a norwegian elkhound, and she’s such a sweetie. Our friends the Kings are going on a a dope-ass trip to Greece and London, and we’re going to have a blast with Sunny while they’re gone. At least for part of the time. Since Coops doesn’t get along with most other dogs—especially ones larger than he is, *eyeroll*—he’s actually staying over at Tommen’s house, which we’re calling summer camp. So, it’s just us, Joy, and Sunny. Looking forwa...

Day 3,875: Rob

Went to Sherilyn’s 4th birthday today. Four! Just that is a wonderful miracle given everything she’s been through. She was so happy, so engaged and silly, and really excited everyone was there. We played some games together like pointing to Bluey’s body parts and arm up-up and down. She babbled, and smiled a lot. It was amazing. She was so much better than the last time I’d seen her, which admittedly, was a couple years ago. And it was so nice to hang out with Aaron and Marie too. It was a reall...

Day 3,874: Odesza 2

It’s 1am! Making it a quick one…we went and saw Odesza. Again. First time was almost two years ago. Same tour! They’d definitely added some new fun stuff, and it was an “extended set”…super fun. Went with KBear, who got us tickets.

Anywho…night night. Wiped!

Day 3,873: Parity

We’re watching The Jinx: Part Two finally, which is coverage of the Robert Durst trial, and tonight its just making me think about the fact that some people will literally like you just because you’re rich. I get it, truly. Money makes almost anything possible, at least when it comes to navigating through the world. It can’t touch anything on the inside, really, but it’s the most powerful force in everything outside. So, yeah. I get it. Rich people have access to things the rest of us don’t—that...
