Day 1,589: Liz + Ali
Lizderfer and Ali got married today.
It was gorgeous. Holy crap, this vineyard was out of control pretty. And so were Liz and Ali.
It’s 1am now, though, so I’m keeping it short. We got to hang with Nicole, Tone, and Betsy at Applebee’s for the day time, take a nap, and then do the wedding.
Food was amaze. Liz and Ali are amaze. It was a wonderful day. And! I got my writing done! Yeesssss.
Good night!

Day 1,588: Well, That Happened
We’re up in NorCal. Ukiah, specifically, which is weird because I’ve known Ukiah as a town off the 101 freeway since I was…3? Maybe even earlier?
We’re here for a wedding–Lizderfer is getting hitched, and all the Disjointed crew is up to celebrate–and it’s weird to have all these LA people up in what is essentially my childhood hood. Almost. Few hours north of here, but essentially my hood.
We’re staying at a Comfort Inn. We went to a soiré down in Hopland, which is where the actual wedding i...

Day 1,586: Angst
Blleeaaarrrcccchhhhbbbggghhhh.
Today was not the writing day I’d hoped for. This is what happens when I spend time away from this keyboard. And you know what? There’s no excuse. There really isn’t. Traveling is not enough in and of itself for me not to sit down for even fifteen minutes each day and write words. This is what happens.
The story is cold. I have to warm it back up again.
I wrote 150 words today. Plus some editing. I also journaled. Not like the journaling I do here…it’s part free...

Day 1,585: The Queen
Man…Castle Rock was so, sooooooo good last week. One of the better episodes of television I’ve seen in a long, long time. Tense, scary, twisty, moving. Surprisingly moving. It had the Ho bawling next to me, and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t elicit a dew drop or two from my own peepers.
You’re missing out if you’re not watching that show. It’s definitely had its ups and downs already…but “The Queen” was excellence. It was an episode crafted by someone who truly knows what they’re doing, at...

Day 1,584: Home Cookin
We’re home.
We leave again this coming weekend, but it’s nice to be home for now.
I have a shiiiiit-ton of writing to do this week. Sigh. And I’ll do it. I really will. Just need to get in there and get my hands dirty. And I will!
We have to buy a new car…which kinda sucks, to be honest, but we’re making the best of it. We’ve found what car we want, and we’re getting a good idea on what’s a good price for it. We actually went and test-drove one tonight and got to haggling with the local car l...

Got to hang with Scott and Addie today!

Day 1,582: Family
I love my family.
I love spending time with them, I really do. In this instance, it was an entire day with Liz’s sister Julianne, and then later, Scott and Addie. It was just a perfect day. It really was. We also got to spend time with some new family: the parents of J’s fiancé, Jon and Rita.
That’s where our day started: we drove out to their house, which is about 30 minutes south of Portland. They’ve only recently moved into this house, actually, and they showed us around their retirement d...

Day 1,581: Dress Shopping
I went wedding dress shopping today.
It’s not my story to tell…but it was a very successful day for my sister in law

Day 1,580: Hangin
Okay, so we came up to Portland for, like, the first decent weather in FOREVER according to our siblings. So, that’s nice
