Day 2,478: Burning Out
Burning out right now, y’all.
Not bc anything bad has happened, thank baby Jesus. No…just too much work. Adding the building onto a full time work schedule has cut out all my recharge time, and that just takes a toll, ya know?
The good news: ain’t gonna last forever. Just a couple more days

Day 2,477: Oof
I am WIPED. Crazy long day.
Keeping the entry short tonight. I worked for 12 hours today. No writing sessions except for just now before bed, but at least I got that. It was just one of those days. Very, very busy.
Looking forward to a little less craziness tomorrow? Maybe? We’ll see.
Night, guys. Sleep tight. Don’t let the bedbugs hit you on the way out.
That’s the phrase right? Right.

Day 2,476: Falling In Place
My first scene is close. Really, really close. And I just had some ideas in my nighttime writing session on how to make things even more simple. Looking forward to writing tomorrow to get there.
No music today. That’s the tell! I suspected as much. My workload today was quite a bit bigger than normal, and that squeezed out my afternoon writing and playing music. Alas.
But, it was a great session this morning, I finished the scene (version 3), and I have a mind tonight on the next step. Sim...
“The Ambergris Element” (Star Trek: The Animated Series S1 Ep13)
Trek gets wet this week! We dive into a water world under siege from earthquakes and disease, talk about how great a voice Deforest Kelley has, and Josh–being the rhythm man that he is–realizes he can’t get down without a beat.

Day 2,475: Back on Track
I spent a lot of the day today doing work, actually. I got everything done I wanted to save take a shower, which I will make sure I do tomorrow. No sense in being stinky, ya know?
And, it’s funny, but that makes me feel much more back on track. I got more rest yesterday, physically, but my mind feels more rested today. And it really was because I was stressed out about getting these several tasks done, one of which I’d been putting off for a couple weeks.
Still a ton to do. It’s going to b...

Day 2,474: A Loop
This week. It’s all felt very much the same. Kinda hectic. Not too bad, for sure, no major problems, but just out of whack. Outside “normal.”
Same with today. To a degree. As I’m writing my entry tonight, I realize that I’m more FEELING out of whack than I am in actuality. Today was a pretty normal Saturday, to be honest. I did lend some emotional support today that was intense, so I’m sure that’s part of the out-of-ordinary feeling. This week, in general, though has been…hectic. That really ...

Day 2,473: Bing Bong
Slept in this morning just a little bit. Did the morning part of my workout.
Fed the pups, then immediately took a walk rather than sitting down to do my writing session first and then taking them out. Part of it was starting my day a little late (because I worked almost 12 hours yesterday), part of it was anxiety over finishing the rest of my work today, and part of it was surrender to this hectic week.
Got my work done. Had a meeting about how to request time off. Then went and played go...

Day 2,472: All Over The Place
This week has been all over the place.
Not in a bad way, per se. Indeed, this week has been pretty damn good, actually. I’ve been very, very productive. But…it’s been hectic. Not my normal routine. I didn’t get to play music at all this week, for example. Or do my afternoon/evening routine with writing as well.
It’s late. Time for sleeps. Another short entry, but I worked over 12 hours today. It’s time for rest

Day 2,471: Battle
Going to bed tonight, I have battle scenes swimming in my head.
The film Midway is not good. But, the events its based on are fascinating. And Navy battles are very prescient for the novel I’m currently writing. So…that was a fun way to end the evening.
A’s won. Work was hectic. Writing was so-so. All in all…a solid day. Hoping for a great one tomorrow.
Night!

Day 2,470: Evil
Had a great discussion with Josh tonight about villains and the nature of evil for next week’s podcast. It’s a corker.
Keeping it short tonight because I need to hit the hay, but today was hectic, but successful. I wrote. I worked. I did building stuff. More of that than I expected. But I did it all. Recorded with Josh. Took care of the pups. And the A’s won.
And…I just decided I need to have my hero go and recruit on person before I get him to the ship. The recruiting feels important. We’...
