Day 2,788: Real

Man. It’s late. Long week. I am officially exhausted. Frustrated from how little writing I got done. But, tonight sitting here, it’s time to let that go. It was a busy week. Lots of extra stuff on the plate, and important stuff. Stuff that needed to be dealt with.

And I did.

And now, I get to turn the page. Get some rest tomorrow, perhaps. Then focus on what’s to come. Make a plan. Get my shit done.

Day 2,787: Real

Day 2,787: Grindin

This week is a grind. Life is busy right now. Too much going on. None of it bad, thank you lord, but I’m definitely in keep-head-above-water mode rather than really handling all the stuff I want to handle.

It is what it is. I’m slogging through it. I keep hoping I’ll get a reprieve on one of the projects, but it hasn’t happened yet. It will! Just not yet.

Now…sleep. Worked a solid 11 hours today on the Netflix stuff so that hopefully tomorrow isn’t too bad. We. Shall. See.

Day 2,786: Grindin

This week is a grind. Life is busy right now. Too much going on. None of it bad, thank you lord, but I’m definitely in keep-head-above-water mode rather than really handling all the stuff I want to handle.

Day 2,785: LATE!

So, I had to wrangle with the old blog site today.

Apparently, my hosting service decided to stop automatically authenticating SSL Certificates. That won’t mean much to most of us out there, but that digital certificate is what makes it so your browser doesn’t block my site as maliciously insecure. Chrome won’t even load a site anymore unless it has a valid certificate. So…yeah. I couldn’t even post my blog entry last night.

Day 2,784: Lock In

Gotta lock in for the rest of this week. Starts with a goooooood night’s sleep. Which I got today! I didn’t get any writing done, my day had other requirements of me in that department, but it’s okay. Gonna get that shiz done tomorrow, and for the rest of the week.

New project came in at work. Looked like it might be extensive, but it turns out not to be. Gonna tackle that shit tomorrow, too.

Sigh.

Lots on my plate right now. But…I shall persevere. Night night.

Day 2,783: Biz!

Twas a busy one today! Started off great. Wrote 8 pages. Work was busy, and the “project” required some running around during the midday, but that all worked out, too.

Whew!

Ended up the day getting in a nap, which I’ve found to be crucial with waking up so early, some more work on the project, and then a late walk and dinner with the pups.

Now…sleep.

A’s won. I took a shower. Tomorrow will be busy, too!

Day 2,782: White Vans

It’s bed time, so this one shall again be short.

It was a busy day today. Go go go. Still managed to take a little nap in there, thank lawd, to help recharge for the week, and I did decide to sleep in and get rest rather than wake up at 6:45 to write. But still…I handled my shit today.

Liz is home.

All is well. Ready for tomorrow.

Day 2,781: Inside and Out

I wrote today. Seven pages! Good ones, too, I hope. I went back through and read some of my writing from the past couple days, and it’s definitely a little rough. It needs a run-through. Punching up. Edits for conciseness…but it’s fundamentally sound. The story is good. The characters are coming alive.

And I worked outside today for a couple hours, too. On the project. Got some good work done, I think. We’ll see how it looks tomorrow.

Day 2,780: Jimmy

If I’ve taken away just one thing from watching all of the AFI’s list, it might be this one thing: Jimmy Stewart is an absolute delight. Josh also brought up Jack Lemmon as well, and I whole-heartedly agree.

I mean, I’ve known Stewart was wonderful, of course, for quite some time, but watching all these other films and all these other actors all compressed down, kinda, into comparison with each other through the list, Stewart is a standout. Might be my favorite actor of them all. Maybe. Hard ...
