Look Under Dead Plants, The Fairies Often Make A New Plant For You

The fairies are conscious and your active helpers in the garden. They often replace much loved plants in your garden and plant new plants under the old dead plant. Look under them and you will find the fairy miracle plant for you which often have features much better than the original plant. Such as much prettier flowers, increased handiness in your garden, or even a completely different colourway in that plant! The fairies are nature’s miracle workers! Six on Saturday – Cool Week 24🌸6🌸23

I mowed my back lawn/ weeds for the first time this season, a sure sign of winter moisture. I have been enjoying visiting and tending my new front garden area. An area that looked a little sad and sorry previously. I like it when an ugly garden area, after steady work on it, transitions into a favourite garden area! This is a transformation that has been a few years coming. It still has its issues, such as being in the dry shade in summer from the surrounding gum trees. But I have found ways around it such as planting lots of dry tolerant perennials.

The three stages of Banksia media flowers. I love their sculptural leaves. A native shrub thst grows to 4 metres and attracts nectar feeding native birds. A handy winter feast. I enjoy the foliage of theses little pelargoniums that I grow as border edges in one of my beds. They look particularly nice in the cool moist winter soil. They curiously have no flowers.I have a few plants of this Tagetes lemonii, passionfruit scented marigold plants, now in full flower in winter. A wonderful treat. I planted them at the backs of beds because they are tall, but they are hard to smell from there. I’m a bit of a sucker for plants with scented leaves as well as flowers. I have lots of scented herbs and scented pelargoniums. Nice red snapdragon bloom Still enjoying these mauve pink blooms of John Clare rose.Still lots of colour about, courtesy of the pot marigolds. My dog has a long coat to keep her warm.
