Six On Saturday – 6🌸4🌸24 The Joy of An Unexpected New Garden Bed!

I have spent the last few weeks moving about soil for a new garden bed that was made when a new water tank was built. My garden clothes are the colour of the red dirt as is one of male cats who is obviously doing quality inspections of the new site! I’ve been a bit of a dirt monkey and loving every minute of it! As have the free range chickens which have been walking all over it and the dog which eats her bones next to it, watching my progress. Plus the ponies cheer me on from the sidelines, as they have full view of it from their paddock! The day the tank was built by a husband and wife tank team, the ponies stood there opposite them watching them all day. It was prime pony-tainment!

Large scale clearing was needed of these Melaleauca windbreak plantings that were planted by the previous owner. In it’s wake, the soil was unexpectedly soft and deep and has made this glorious new garden bed in an area that before was too dry to garden next to because of the shrubs. The plumber landscaped and pulled out the old plants with his tractor. I wasn’t anticipating a brand new huge garden bed out of this! In a win-win solution, we get both a new rainwater tank and a lovely soft new raised garden bed! An unexpected delight! My mind is going over and over with planting schemes and possibilities!

I am itching to start the planting but am still wheelbarrowing and bucketing loads of soil around, and leveling out the garden beds. It’s an exciting new development. I am probably going to plant it up with roses, Mediterranean climate perennials and pretty annuals such as carnations, snapdragons and hollyhocks. Maybe with some native emu bushes at the back of the garden bed. Decisions, decisions!

The New Water Tank Construction necessitated a big clearing of a native Melaleauca windbreak plantings. Which has unexpectedly resulted in a brand new garden bed to the side of my new rose garden. A delicious development!Pretty pale blue Plumbagos, petunias and Ivy leafed pelargoniums are some of the main flowers at the moment. The lovely Mind Games rose provides a kaleidoscope of ever changing colours. He is very keen to flower right throughout the summer, much to my delight!This White Ivy leafed pelargonium has picked up and started to flower enmasse since I started sprinkler watering him.Petunias, feverfew and puppy dog . Appearing from the autumn soil, the Heamanthus blood lillies are always an unexpected huge scarlet event!

Sometimes Things Have Got A Way Of Finding A Way!

In the dark of night reason often can’t find a way out of a problem. But for the Divine the problem is only a starting point.

Send the situation love and light, try to stop worrying about it. Surrender the situation to the Divine ( I surrender the situation to God and the angels to deal with in the highest and best way possible). The work will be done in sometimes miraculous ways, often resulting in a much better outcome than your ever dreamed possible. ¨`•✿¸.• •✿
