It’s Complicated: When a Man Meets a Woman (Skyclad Journeys Book 2) by Robert Longpré

Interesting book written in a unique manner of real and imaginary characters. You don’t need any psychology background to appreciate or understand the aged old challenges of relationships with self, family, friends or lovers. Not your typical predictable storyline for this book but rather it offers you glimpses of real life – bits which we all can relate to every now and then.⭐⭐⭐⭐

ELH Diet: Permanent Weight Loss With A Healthy Diet Plan by Robert Lalonde

A diet book that tells it as it is. The author did his research and present his information clearly in an educational way. You can be done with the book in one evening and be on your way to a leaner you. But the emphasize is really on long term health and not just some temporary weight loss diet. I like it that it is fuss-free with no complicated steps or special cooking involved. The author’s main method is to use GI to guide your choice of foods. There are several useful GI charts included...

The Woman Behind the Waterfall by Leonora Meriel

A rather strange and intriguing book. It took me awhile to get into the book as the unusual writing style of the author took some getting used to. Sometimes I’m not sure if I was reading actual events taking place or it was describing another dream. I think this book is more suitable for readers who appreciate poetry and flowery words. The author has the knack for making the most mundane things like eating honey cake and bird watching a poetry in-motion. This is a book you’ll either get it or...

Unfamiliar Territory by Lucretia Stanhope

The author nailed it again with this romantic witch story. It’s an enjoyable read with a fair bit of suspense and action thrown in to keep you on the edge. Of course I also had fun trying to imagine how Jack looks like as a gorgeous man. I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a leisurely romantic read in bed after a long day at work. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Du Lac Princess: (Book 3 of The Du Lac Chronicles) by Mary Anne Yarde

Book 3 is by far my favorite and another page turner. You know the story is really good when you can’t wait to get to the end and yet afraid you will? In book 3 I finally got to see the Du Lac brothers united for once and the story just keep getting better. What makes Du Lac chronicles a real standout is the amount of details and background research the author put into her books.  I’m so glad the author isn’t stopping at a trilogy as originally planned. Looking forward to book 4…. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rather Be Fishing by Lucretia Stanhope

Mike is a straight talking monster hunter with a wry sense of humor. His simple pleasures in life are fishing, coffee and food when he’s not in-between monster gigs. Mike’s sense of humor and perspective on things is what makes each monster tale funny to boot. A really fun read if you’re into monsters and a bit of gore. Take this book along the next time you go fishing…maybe you’ll end up with more than fish. Gulped

Sweet Suffering (An Elemental Witch Trials Novel Book 8) by Lucretia Stanhope

Bittersweet endings and new beginnings in this book with Rose gaining a realm of her own. Well, I’ve been “with the family” from book 1 to 8 which says a lot about how good this series is. I started book 1 thinking I was either going to take up knitting or devouring the entire series. LOL. Kudos to the author for writing such a fine series. Bravo!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thorns (An Elemental Witch Trails Novel Book 7) by Lucretia Stanhope

Rose relies more on her sword than magic, she is tenacious and single-minded in her quests. The story revolves around the mystery of some missing witches (like the good old days of Gwen’s crime solving adventures). But expect more blood and gore from Rose. Her connection and loyalty to vampire Matvei puts her in an interesting position of half-witch-half-vampire. This character has depth and complexities which makes her a worthy successor to Gwen who has mainly retired to wedding cakes tastin...

Tempered Fury (An Elemental Witch Trials Novel Book 6) by Lucretia Stanhope

In this book Gwen takes backstage as the story unfold around Brac her only son’s journey as a reluctant hero to become the fire master. Brac is an arrogant self-deprecating over-confident character with some womanizing issues. He is very different from his mother Gwen whom he worship dearly. But one thing they have in common is their sweet tooth for Cookie’s comfort cakes and rolls. Besides Brac, there are also many new characters introduced in this wonderful series. While I’m not in love wit...
