Love the Wine You’re With (Vineyard Pleasures Series Book 2) by Brooke E. Wayne

A delightful sequel but this time the story centers around Maxine’s sidekick Blanca and her on-off long distance relationship with hottie Julian. The men in this series are really impossibly perfect being rich, good looking and they bake & cook too! What would have being otherwise a rather clean fun borderline saccharine romance book  shone with an unexpected twist towards the end. If you like clean happy ever after romance this book is for you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Eternal Fall by R. DEAN TAYLOR

This book was not what I was expecting. Based on the title I was expecting a romantic sad love story. Word of caution for readers who might be uncomfortable with explicit and graphical sex and violent scenes in this book. Personally I felt there were too many unnecessary explicit sexual scenes which makes the book borderline porn. Otherwise it’s actually a rather entertaining and imaginative dark twist based on the Bible. The story finished well with a surprising but satisfying ending. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Whine with Cheese (Vineyard Pleasures Series Book 1) by Brooke E. Wayne

An fun romance book for that lazy weekend when you just want to do some light reading which is a no brainer. The lead character Maxine is a young woman filled with self-doubt and low self-esteem. It’s a classic story of girl meets the man of her dreams and swept her completely off her feet with a slight twist that got their romance off-track which was a great excuse to continue the story in France. If you’re looking for some fun clean romance story read this and standby some wine and cheese....

Jessica Lost Her Wobble by J. Schlenker

It took me a few chapters to really get into the story. The main character Jessica is a very introspective person and the story is filled with her inner dialogues and her likeable attempts at being non-judgemental towards others. There are also other equally likeable characters throughout this book including Amy, Jackson etc. All in all a fairy tale ending to what started as a sad past that needed healing. *Spoiler Alert* Although the ending was a bit saccharine I much preferred it to the (to...

The Art of Sane Aging for Women: Embrace the Journey by Camille Goscicki

A short and sweet read for all ages. You don’t even have to be a woman to appreciate the nuggets of wisdom found throughout this book. Having been through some hard knocks in life really makes me appreciate what the author has to share. So much of my past and present issues were results of poor self-talk. Thanks for the timely reminder to make a change and be impeccable with my words. Another thing I really need to change is to start listening more and speaking less. This book is a quick read...

Imitatore: The Donna Chronicles: Book One by A. Rose

Beautifully written and a pleasure to read. The story itself about supernatural beings with powers might not be the most original but the author’s flair for capturing the deep emotions of her young characters is what make this story compelling and outstanding. What makes the story intriguing is how the author cleverly added twists and turns to keep this a page turner to the very end. Sophie is indeed a very promising character and I look forward to book 2 by this equally promising author ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tainted Waters: A Dark Paranormal Fantasy Novel (Paranormal Peacekeepers Book 1) by Lucretia Stanhope

Am really delighted the author has created another wonderful new series while I wait for her next elemental witch series book to come out. The author once again created a strong lead character Alice who is an outcast because of her heritage. The common theme in her books – nothing is entirely black or white. Even the so-called good characters have darkness in them. The beginning of the book was a bit slow for me but I’m glad I persevere to the good parts. Also I’ll never look at Christmas elv...

Lights in the Night: The Ostinato Series Book One by Greg Alldredge

The story takes place in a small town where everybody knows each other. The lead character Trevor offers plenty of dry humor and quirky dialogues. He arrived in town with a grand plan to profit on “alien” sightings. Although Trevor is not a totally legit businessman as his “Swindle Productions” in Cayman Islands would have clue you in, he has a big heart for the under-privileged which makes him somewhat likeable. But my favorite character has to be Grace and her nuggets of wisdom. Everything...

She Never Got To Say Goodbye by Ica Iova

Everything was going perfectly for Olivia who thought she met the perfect man and was living a fairy tale life. But things started going downhill when an unfortunate incident had Brandon running from perfect husband to abusive alcoholic. When Olivia found herself unexpectedly dead she did not even know what happened to her except to pin the blame on Brandon. The story progressed from a typical romance story to a crime mystery with the ghost aka victim playing detective at solving her own murd...

Resilience (Resiliency Book 2) by Ica Iova

I had no trouble following this book although I didn’t read book 1. The characters are well built and likeable enough for you to keep reading. The story plot unfolds at a good pace and is not overly unrealistic. It has a good mix of romance, mystery and crime making it a serious story with lighthearted moments. My favorite part is of course the ending. Really glad I discovered another new author.   ⭐⭐⭐⭐
