Timeless Trouble (An Elemental Witch Trails Novel Book 10) by Lucretia Stanhope
As an avid reader of this spectacular series this is not going to be an unbiased review. If you’ve been following An Elemental Witch Trails you won’t be disappointed with Book 10. And if this is your first time, please start at Book 1 so you don’t miss out. This time there’s a baby boom, some time travel, a test of courage and love from both old and new characters. While I still dislike and distrust Matvei, Rose is fast becoming one of my favorite character. The only thing is I can’t reconcil...

Recompense (Alexa Blake) by Alan Richards
La femme Alexa Blake is an unconventional badass heroine who knows the ends justify the means when it comes to lowlife criminals who prey on the innocent and defenseless. Her day job requires her to stick to the law so she devised an elaborate plan to take out her nemesis. But something went horribly wrong and she found herself racing against the clock for her survival. This fast paced book is a real page turner which I devoured in one evening. Very entertaining and action packed with a passi...

Agent Colt: Classified Pride (Colt Information Agency Book 1) by A.L. Wright
Colt is a secret agent with a secret of her own (I’m not going to spoil the surprise here). It’s a fun romance story wrapped in an action packed backdrop. A very enjoyable and lighthearted book which had me laughing at some parts especially at Colt’s dry sense of humor and inner dialogue. I really enjoyed the funny dialogues, awkward moments and chemistry between the main characters. My only grouse is I wished the story is longer. Absolutely looking forward to book 2.

The Curious Dreamer’s Practical Guide to Dream Interpretation by Nancy Wagaman
A very comprehensive guide and good introduction for beginners. My little problem is I can’t recall most of my dreams or record them fast enough in a notebook to make any meaningful interpretation; I guess practice makes perfect. It’s a good book to start if you’re someone who is curious about your dreams (as the book title so aptly put it).

On The Broken Road (Healing the Soul, Skyclad Book 2) by Robert Longpré
In book 2 Benjamin continues on his journey of self-discovery and healing through music, art and friendships. Along the way he met others who have also been hurt and tried to seek solace in alcohol, drugs and sex. In his darkest hour light finally shone through in the most unlikely manner – perhaps there’s redemption even in the worst of us. If you have ever felt alone in a crowd or suffered moments of despair in life you’ll recognize parts of yourself in this book.

The BC Killer (Tyler Kane Legal Thriller Book 2) by Michael Pickford
I really enjoyed this sequel even better than the first. The story is well developed and the likeable main characters grow on you. A truly entertaining clean read with a cliffhanger before the big truth is revealed. Well written and good characters development. There’s also a hint of a bigger story behind Kane’s wife accident which I believe will be a story for another day (or rather book). In the meantime I look forward to book 3.

Personal Solicitor (Tyler Kane Series Book 1) by Michael Pickford
Good old-fashioned crime mystery that will leave you guessing till the very end. Tyler Kane is a stickler for his routines and I like his enthusiastic fan turned new assistant Leann who adds some comedy effects to this story. Expect lots of dialogues in this book. All in all a well written plot that’s enjoyable to read.

4.5 Years: A WW2 true story by David Taylor
I was expecting a serious book on being a prisoner of war. But Dave turned out to be quite a chirpy resourceful young man who although was a prisoner for 4.5 years, managed to keep his wits and sanity throughout with his very interesting “projects” ranging from escape plans, handmade knives, custom made coffee pots to music. Amazingly he returned home relatively unscathed and seemed to lead quite a charmed life playing golf in his retirement. It really felt like I was merely reading the diary...

A Broken Boy (Healing the Soul, Skyclad Book 1) by Robert Longpré
This is not a feel good book with a happy ending or solution for your problems. It probably took the writer quite a bit of courage to confront his childhood ordeal but he did and he pen it down as it is; no drama just what he remembers. It’s easy to deny our part and blame it on our parents or even grandparents. But self-realization is often needed to breakthrough from our past demons. Somehow the universe pointed Benny in the “right direction” when a mysterious stranger recommended him to re...

Malevolent Manifestation (An Elemental Witch Trails Novel Book 9) by Lucretia Stanhope
The much anticipated book 9 returns with more limelight on old characters like Kyna and Destiny as well as new characters. Meanwhile Gwen’s cake eating mechanism kicked in once again under stress. One thing for sure, there’s never a dull moment in Gwen’s family and now with her expanding family more “troubles” and adventures are bound to follow. The story ended with a baby boom and new unions which probably means more new characters in future. Definitely another fast paced page turner for me...
