Tainted By Our Choices

Tainted by our choices is a contemporary romance that has flashbacks, sex, environmental awareness and on occasion, a slight fixation on dessert. Potentially all at the same time. It is the story of two people who meet, meet, and meet again, and somewhere along the way have both loved and lost each other.

We have Jack, who started out his life as an impassioned kid wanting to take what his father had taught him about the importance of the environment, and build himself a life out of it, whil...

Behind The Scenes: The Clamps

The Clamps is a story taken from one of my own childhood nightmares, and by that I don’t mean the dubious goings on at the Angel tube station in Islington; although on match days prior to the building of the Emirates Stadium, it wasn’t always a great place to be.

No, I had a recurring nightmare for a good five years or more about my bed coming to life in the middle of the night and trapping me there, and if I moved it would eat me. Perhaps that says more about the inner-workings of my brain t...

Finding The Words

James knows Darren loves him. He just needs to find the words to convince him of it.

For those of you who follow/have followed me elsewhere, you might recognise this story in another guise

Behind The Scenes: Populace

Populace, like Pale, is my way of equalising everyone by having something happen to people that isn’t connected with their gender, sexuality, race, or any other thing about them. True, there are far nicer ways to go about treating everyone equally than having them mysteriously disappearing at the alleged work of aliens, but apparently nice is not what I was feeling when I decided to write this.

If there was a regularly occurring event in our lives that would potentially signal the end of it,...

Sunday Thinking

Once upon a time, there was a small, insignificant mouse, with beautiful patterns scattered across its fur, and a sharp mind in its head, but small and insignificant nonetheless. The mouse knew its own potential, knew what it could achieve if only the other mice from the kingdoms around it would listen and bend to its will, and so it sat, quietly observing for many years, ruling over its own kingdom, until it found the very right words to say.

Soon, the other mice leaders started paying atten...

Mark and Rob have an evening together with nothing to enjoy other than each other…

This is NOT safe for work, just to warn you. For those of you who follow/have followed me elsewhere, you might recognise this story in another guise

Behind The Scenes: Pale

This story began for me pretty much as it begins on the page. Aside from the insinuation of some kind of alien invasion, that didn’t really happen. Or did it?

From The Road

Aaron’s boyfriend is away on a road trip and calls him from the road to get them both a little relief.

Behind The Scenes: Victorious

After Always, we’re back to unrequited love again, because this has been a regular theme of my writing – especially in poetry, since it fits so well with the idea of telling the same story a hundred different ways. At least, it did for me, anyway!

Unrequited love is painful enough to go through without the entire world knowing about it. Victorious looks at that, the consequences of it, and how hard it is to live a lie without hurting yourself, and those around you.
