Tainted By Our Choices

Tarred by our choices is a contemporary romance that has flashbacks, sex, environmental awareness and a slight fixation on dessert. Potentially all at the same time.

Meet Jack. A successful environmental officer working within an industry that is so very far from his childhood dream of saving the planet, that he no longer recognizes himself. How he’s found himself in Houston, Texas where he has no one, and nothing but his work for company, he tells himself repeatedly he doesn’t know. But whe...

Blue News: Used To Be

… no, not the lewd kind of blue, although, who knows?

Who’s sick of flicking through Google News (other news outlets are available) and seeing nothing but death and destruction and Bad Moon Risings?

Me! Fairly sure I’m not alone in that.

So as I kill time this morning instead of doing anything productive (Captain Procrastination over here…) look what I did! I turned miserable news into a (very) short story (sort of). Yay! A literary equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and pretend...

As Nature Intended

Since presenting as an Omega at the age of fourteen, Elliot has been cautious and distrustful of the world around him. But he has overcome the obstacles of being an Omega, working hard to make a life that is successful and fulfilling. And that life is good; in fact, everything is looking good for Elliot. Which is, of course, exactly when his body decides to rebel.

Enter his Alpha, Oskar, who is just as reluctant to have his life disrupted, and as horrified by his own instincts as Elliot is a...

Sunday Thinking

Once upon a time, our hope was tested. In fact, it wasn’t just one time; it was tested multiple times, in multiple ways, by  individuals , whose ideas were not of freedom, acceptance and seeing all other people as equal, but of destruction. Whose ideas were fuelled by hatred; not settling scores. Whose ideas seemed to some unfathomable, to others, a retaliatory act, and to others still, as justification to treat people from the wider community those individuals were associated with as second-cl...

Behind The Scenes: Solitary

Solitary was vaguely inspired by a person and various conversations with said person about the need to be alone. Alone doesn’t have to mean lonely, although far too often people assume these things are one and the same. They aren’t, and if you’ve never experienced the joy that is solo travelling, then I really can’t explain this to you without waxing lyrical about it in a way that probably won’t make any sense. So I won’t do that to you!

Perhaps it won’t be for always, but currently for me, t...
