"Let me tell you one more thing; 'Swimming in winter is truly amazing!' Especially for young people with very unhealthy lifestyles who just sit behind computers the whole day. The colder the water, the better!"

Why is that?

"Let me explain. The icy water squeezes your blood vessels in the skin thus pushing your blood inside your body into the most remote capillaries. This improves the circulation of blood in your whole body bringing more nutrients to your inner organs increasing their performance. So swimming in winter makes me happier and helps me to fight all kinds of respiratory problems. It's also good for asthma and rheumatism. It requires constant training though, you simply can't just plunge into an icy water, you could die of hypothermia."
