The Book With All the Answers (a.k.a. Hollow Release + Black Friday Preview)
So I'm going to “fail” NaNoWriMo 2019. And I'm okay with that.
I'm going to talk more about this “failure” next week in a more craft-oriented post, but for now I want to tell you about the reasonwhy I'm failing NaNo. Primarily, it's because of Black Friday.
Which is going to be AWESOME. Thanks to me, and also my fellow Phoenix Fiction Authors, but also me.
[image error]No, seriously, the Black Friday/Second Anniversary sale we're arranging is going to be amazing, and I'm really excited about people...

Doctor Who Series 11 Revisited
The first trailer for Series 12 of Doctor Who isfinallycoming tomorrow, so I think it's the perfect time to take a second look at the rather controversial (to say the least) Series 11.
I started out liking this new era of Doctor Who, and ended up criticizing it pretty heavily by the end of the Thirteenth Doctor's inaugural season. Looking back through my reviews of all the episodes, I've realized that some of my opinions have shifted a little since the highly-disappointing finale. But, some...

Five Reasons Why You Should Be Watching Tangled: The Series
Let’s be honest here–Disney does not have a great track record with spinoffs or sequels for its various animated properties. The company’s tendency to turn every successful property into a bloated multimedia franchise has frequently served to cheapen some of its best work. The various cartoon series based on Disney films (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, etc.) are prime examples of this. Not terrible in every respect, perhaps, but definitely not up to the standard of the movies they were based on...

Kyle’s Gigantic List of What You Should Be Watching on Disney+
It's about time I got back into regular blogging, isn't it? Well then, let's start with discussing what all the cool kids are talking about: the new Disney+ streaming service. Have you signed up yet?
Neither have I.
I'm kidding. About you, I mean, not me. I have not signed up yet, but you probably have. I just don't have a lot of time for watching TV right now, so I'm holding off for a while, even though The Mandalorian looks somewhat intriguing. I'll definitely be there for most of the Marvel proj...

Open For Business
If you've been following me for a while, you know that I do all my own cover design and book formatting. Not just because it's convenient, but because I really enjoy doing it. There are some parts of the indie author business that I find a little grueling, but I love anything related to making books look cool, inside and out.
But maybe you don't enjoy that stuff. Maybe you'd rather just focus on writing and leave spiffy-ing up your books to somebody else.
In which case, maybe you'd like to hire me...

Strange Waters Review: Barnaby Brown and the Glass Sea
[image error]I'm going to assume, right from the start, that you know what Strange Waters is. And I refuse to tell you anything about it.
No. I won't. Absolutely not.
Stop it.
Okay, FINE. But you really should have heard all about it by now. Then again, perhaps you have recently been stranded on an island, undergoing an intensive training regimen to return to your hometown and prowl through the night as a vigilante, taking revenge upon your enemies, in which case you probably haven't had the chance to check Twitter very often.
I u...

Status Update: Endings and Beginnings
It's been a while since I've actually shared anything about how all my works in progress are going, and I've been a little quiet on email and social media lately, so I'm going to address it all here in one fell swoop.
Don't worry, there aren't any big changes to what I've announced already…no alterations to titles or series numbers this time, thank heavens…so you can all relax.
Here we go.
Audio Projects[image error]Just a quick update on these. As you may now, Horseman is currently available on audio, n...
