Going to the SCBWI conference, yaaaaaay
Woohoo, I’m going to the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Conference in LA this August!
I’m “woohoo”ing because for a while there, it didn’t look as though I could afford it. Many thanks to my friends Mike and Judy for letting me stay with them during the convention and thus making it possible for me to go.
I’ve signed up for an individual mss consultation as well as one of the premium workshops: a 4-hour course about voice in YA fiction taught by Krista Marino, a Senior Editor

Frankenstory: Collaborative Story Twitters?
At Frankenstory, you co-wrote a short story with a friend. Yes, I know, it’s been done before. But wait, this collaborative story system has a twist…
Each person only sees the last few words of the other person’s entry. There are max. 40 words per entry (like Twitter), max. two participants, and each person only writes two parts.
