Morning Coffee: cereals and magazines

[image error]OwlKids (who publish Chickadee, Owl and Chirp magazines for young people) has partnered with General Mills for a special promo which enables buyers to get a free magazine.

The cereal company has also partnered with Transcontinental Media, so fans of Cheerios and Oatmeal Crisp can select a free issue from 12 Transcontinental media titles. Offer lasts until the end of August and is available across Canada.

Intriguing idea. I’ll have to look for one of those cereal boxes…

Note: I comb publishing news

Morning Coffee

Morning Coffee

As I comb my online sources for useful publishing industry news to post in my Writersmarket.com Market Watch column each morning, I often come across tidbits that don’t really qualify for my column but might be of interest to Inkygirl readers. I’ll going to start posting some from time to time.

Organizing Tip: Griffin Clarifi case for the iPhone

Testing out the Griffin Clarifi Case for the iPhone

The iPhone built-in camera isn’t the greatest at taking close-up shots, so I decided to order the Griffin Clarifi case because it has a built-in lens for taking clearer detailed close-ups.

Harmless Fraud

picture-22

I’m doing some much-needed catch-up and purging of my public e-mail box this morning, and have culled 1496 e-mails down to 400 so far. I’ve been researching various ways that people have of keeping their e-mail to manageable levels, and would love to hear about any of YOUR successful strategies.

Anyway, just came across a post from Cormac Barry about his new (well, it was new when he sent the e-mail) blog, Harmless Fraud. I’m adding this to my Google Reader blog list. Not only is it entertainin
