Morning Coffee: cereals and magazines
[image error]OwlKids (who publish Chickadee, Owl and Chirp magazines for young people) has partnered with General Mills for a special promo which enables buyers to get a free magazine.
The cereal company has also partnered with Transcontinental Media, so fans of Cheerios and Oatmeal Crisp can select a free issue from 12 Transcontinental media titles. Offer lasts until the end of August and is available across Canada.
Intriguing idea. I’ll have to look for one of those cereal boxes…

As I comb my online sources for useful publishing industry news to post in my Writersmarket.com Market Watch column each morning, I often come across tidbits that don’t really qualify for my column but might be of interest to Inkygirl readers. I’ll going to start posting some from time to time.

Organizing Tip: Griffin Clarifi case for the iPhone
The iPhone built-in camera isn’t the greatest at taking close-up shots, so I decided to order the Griffin Clarifi case because it has a built-in lens for taking clearer detailed close-ups.

There’s a little sliding cover so you have the option of using the normal iPhone lens if you want. The main reason I wanted the Clarifi was for making text more readable.
