Children’s Writer Critique Circle tonight on Second Life
Inkygirl Haven For Children’s Writers & Illustrators will be hosting a critique circle for children’s writers at 8 pm EST tonight (5 pm SLT), moderated by author Kristen Darbyshire. Get your writing critiqued in a supportive atmosphere! Max 5 pages per participant.
If you’re new to Second Life, I strongly recommend that you show up earlier to familiarize yourself with the interface. You can find tutorials and tips for newcomers on the Second Life Support page.

(More) Apple Tablet rumours, Amazon acquires Stanza
This time Arstechnica has an article speculating about a media pad that is supposedly smaller than Amazon’s Kindle, but with a larger touchscreen.
Meanwhile, publishers are scrambling to deliver new systems that put text in formats more suitable for the iPhone (see Publishers Seize on iPhone as Great White Digital Hope for Print) and Amazon has acquired iPhone ebook reader app, Stanza.

Lusting after an Apple tablet
Yes, I know the mysterious, tantalizing photo (posted on Twitpic) above is probably a fake, but I can’t help but hope that it’s real. I sooooooooooo want Apple to come out with a tablet.
This article seems to indicate that perhaps the crazy rumours aren’t so crazy after all.

Re-posting Inkygirl comics
Thanks so much to everyone who has been spreading the word about Inkygirl.com and my comics for writers. I’ve been getting more and more inquiries about my comics, especially from people wanting to use them in blogs, presentations, newsletters, websites, and in classrooms.
Up to now, I’ve asked people to always notify me when they’re using a comic, and I had a long list of rules and circumstances for free use that probably confused more than helped.
