I met Jason years ago at a writing conference in Texas. It’s been great getting to know him better through the pages of the books he’s written. Emotions intensify during this holiday season. Those "feelings" don't have to be in the driver's seat of your life. Put them in the back seat and enjoy life.For years, decades really, I emotionally ate. I relieved stress by refrigerator therapy. Learning to bring my "cravings" under control took seeing my future self. Who I want to be is in the driver's seat. Call it vision or future self. Weekly Health Tip: Daily Do
Following your daily routine is the key to being the best version of yourself. I was tired this morning. Wanted more sleep. My daily routine knocked on my door, and I answered.What's in motion tends to stay in motion. The opposite is also true. If I give into myself one day, the next will be more difficult. What's your daily schedule? Follow it until it's engrained into you. The only time I change my routine is the day or days before. And only for a good reason. When muscles grow tired, more is built in that moment than otherwise. It's the same with our discipline. Since I pushed through and drug myself out of bed, I became stronger. So, fire up the daily do and don't give yourself a break. (Unless you plan for it.) That's if you want the best life possible.
