Cypher System Worlds Collide

Cypher System Worlds Collide My gamemastering life got a lot easier the day I realized that I don’t have to brainstorm in a vacuum–if I borrow a little idea from a TV show, mash it together with an idea from a favorite book, and add a bit of my own flair, the players will never notice my shortcut. Plus, mash-ups are great fun! It’s always fascinating to see simple mashups grow and take on a life of their own, and to realize the unforeseen implications of the combination.

Trail of the Dream Titans: Internal Playtesting for Numenera 2

Trail of the Dream Titans: Internal Playtesting for Numenera 2 The MCG team is hard at work revising the original Numenera corebook as well as writing an equally large brand-new companion volume. Together, these two corebooks—Discovery and Destiny—describe a world of ruins laid down over vast millennia. These are the remnants of now-vanished civilizations that once spoke to the stars, reshaped the creatures of the world, and mastered form and essence.

Back to the Past? Inspirational Material For Unmasked

Back to the Past? Inspirational Material For Unmasked The 1980s are very “hot” right now. We have a new season of Stranger Things, new sequels for Blade Runner and Star Wars, and a new incarnation of Stephen King’s IT. Even if the ’80s are before your time, the influence of that decade is everywhere.

Greetings from the Monte Cook Games Annual Summit!

Greetings from the Monte Cook Games Annual Summit! Greetings, friends, from the Monte Cook Games Annual Summit! The entire Monte Cook Games team has gathered in the lovely Seattle area to reflect on the previous year, to plot the upcoming year, and to discover ways we can improve our products, our company, and ourselves. Because we’re a distributed company, this is also one of our few opportunities to simply enjoy one another’s company.
