Dave Arneson
Dave Arneson
According to his family, Dave Arneson passed away today.
A sad day to be sure. As I wrote earlier, we gamers owe Dave much in regard to the games we so love to play. He was a good guy, always quick with a joke and his characteristic mischievous grin. He loved games, and he loved spending time with other gamers. We'll miss him.

Terrible News
Terrible News
Dave Arneson, co-creator of D&D, is in the hospital and the prognosis does not appear to be good. He may not last more than a few days. The family is requesting privacy and no contact at this time.
My thoughts are with Dave and his family right now. Dave is a good guy that I've met a number of times at a variety of events and conventions over the years. He's always a guy of good humor with a love of fun and of course games of all kinds. Just like Gary Gygax, who of course passed away

Third Best Superhero Movie of Last Year
Third Best Superhero Movie of Last Year
Normally, saying a movie is the third best superhero movie of a particular year would be damning with extremely faint praise. But not so last year. For superhero fans, last year was an embarrassment of riches with both Dark Knight and Iron Man.
But while not nearly as good as either of those, the Incredible Hulk was pretty underrated. I enjoyed it in the theater and saw it on DVD with Sue the other night and enjoyed it more the second time. Sue really enjoy

Dungeonaday.com and Pathfinder
Jason Bulmahn, designer of the Pathfinder RPG, will be now be a monthly guest blogger at dungeonaday.com. He'll be writing about how to use the material on the site with Pathfinder. If you're a Pathfinder fan, there's no reason now not to become a member of dungeonaday.com. This is going to be cool.

April Fool
April Fool
It was at a strangely young age that I started to question why funny things were funny. So I was in about the 3rd grade when I started to think that April Fools day was more annoying than funny. Tricking someone to believe something entirely believable might be kind of entertaining, but it's not funny. (This is just my opinion, of course.) What I did realize even then, however, was that pretending to try to trick someone into believing something wholly unbelievable was indeed funny. At

Charter Membership to Dungeonaday.com
Charter Membership to Dungeonaday.com
Since so many people have asked for an extension to the Charter Membership offer at Dungeonaday.com, I've decided to extend it so that it is a full month. That means that you have until April 10th to become a charter member. What does that mean? Well, first and foremost, it's the best possible rate for membership ($84 for a year, which comes out to be $7 per month). What's more, however, charter members will have access to other special opportunities such as

Ahhh, Friday
Ahhh, Friday
While I work at home, on my own schedule, I've tried to match Sue's schedule more or less, which means I can join in with the rest of the world when you say things like "I can't wait for the weekend." A few years back, a Saturday was really no different to me than a Tuesday, but now it is.
This has been quite a week. Between being gone for a long weekend a week ago, tons of work, a crazy number of various errands, and getting things ready for Sue's birthday next week, the last four da
