BIG CHANGES on Amazon for Authors

Hi Blog,
There are a bunch of new things happening at Amazon that impact authors.
The first is called KINDLE VELLA.
This is a new way for Amazon’s customers to find your books by publishing one chapter at a time. This may have a major impact on your sales (time will tell).
It also appears that it is NOW PERMISSIBLE FOR AUTHORS TO GET REVIEWS from other authors (which apparently wasn’t always the case – oops).
And it now appears Amazon’s Terms of Service may be prohibiting you from sending people (via links inside your book) directly to a form.
All of this is new to me, and I am hearing it from my friend Adam Houge. He is the go-to person when it comes to the Amazon Algorithm and updates to the publishing service.

Why Getting to your Second Try is Critical

Hi Blog,
If I am honest with myself, I have had many false starts with creating
a podcast.
A few years ago, Russell Brunson motivated me to start one. I recorded
5 episodes and then got busy with other stuff.
A year later, I started another one. Poof…go busy again.
When I look at it now, it is so easy to see the problem.
I did not grant myself the time to learn and create a system.
And that is because I suffer from the Entrepreneur’s Curse, I always
have to learn everything myself.
Because I know once I have a system, it will be easy for me (I am
never short on ideas, just focus and time).
Making an a serious effort on a first try paves the way to a much
smoother second, third and subsequent efforts.
So, I know that making a serious first effort at a podcast, will get
me 80% of the experience I need for episode #2.
And if everyone becomes really good by episode #30 or so, then the
whole idea is just about getting started.
And not haphazardly…
The fact is, after the past year of summit interviews of done, I could
create 75 podcasts in a matter of hours, before I start reaching out
to other speakers.
I also know I could guest on a lot of podcasts, if I just created an
easily repeatable system to reach out (which is why every system I
create is published in my youru.tv membership).
And then there is the explosion of Clubhouse, and it is early so there
is so much potential.
