Not the first time I’ve photographed this particular piece of October, but it’s among the best shot.
Night Terror
4:30 AM.
Good morning
Says I
As I scream
Through my dream
And forget
When eyes open
Wondering why
I’m now awake

Contrast is a delicate balance. Too little and you can’t tell anything apart, but too much and suddenly you see everything so black and white. It’s a colorful world out there. Hardly can you find examples of contrast so clearly.
Yuletide Cyanide
Torpor,
Headaches,
Beadaches,
Stress, and
Snow
Here I lie
Paralyzed
And consumed
By you
Being bruised
And bled
Like I’ve wandered
Into your web
Skin soft like flakes
That fall outside
How it gives to the touch
And how it melts with me
Wrapped up as I’m
In your cocoon
Bandaging me in slik
Spun of cyanide
Bruised neck
Paralyzing my stem
To the core
Of where petal beds bloom
Red like roses
Vulnerable
And thornstress poised
To stoke desire
Rooted in the soil
Of worlds of blankets
The world

Ivy Anxious
Ivy Anxious was a blonde
Dyed died brunette
With big blue eyes that drank in seas
And lips stuck any color she pleased
Though Ivy Anxious limped a little
And sometimes found herself in hospital
She reached for her dream of
Being best at hair styling
And most days you could catch her
At salon boot camp sequestered
And squished in between
Egos and very high esteem
Ivy Anxious never felt that well
Even dreaming was a kind of hell
Waking screaming some days
Early in the morning
And at points stuc...

Not Somewhere Else. But very close.
Granite Descent
Headless
What it felt like
Descending
Ravenous
Back broke
To see behind us
Mystics running
In mist
Steps thundering
As the canopy of seas
Spill unto seekers
Clouds spikes seeping
Down through stems
Spull mystic mist
As hammering fist
Down
A two-hour slope
Of dirt and rock
Hoping to not
Slip
On fogged cobble
Wet
From disembowled
Storm clouds

Wipeout – Journal 3/26/18
Today’s planned Monarch run around Puyallup had to be cancelled thanks to the weather. I upgraded all my firmware for it yesterday, but woke up to the dread of rain. The motors on the DJI Phantom 3 Professional are exposed to the air by their vents, rather intuitively, but that also means that flying them in the rain is asking for a short.
So instead today I’ve decided to coup up in my room and continue housekeeping.
I’m still irritated at myself for the absence of writing drive lately. Still...
Skull of Sunderance

Shot with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS; f/8; 1/200; ISO-400; 24mm. 3/25/18 2:52 PM.
Never had a real one before two weeks ago. I have to keep this one safe. Crow skulls are fragile little things.
Kleptomaniac
Bladed pens pulsing
With the heart beats
Of a dying being
Taught between its ribs
Breathing with the collapsed
Coal mines of cold lungs
Quiet as the blood beats
Drip onto the sidewalk
Of a well-lit street in
Downtown
Stabbed in a bedroom
And conscious on concrete
Being bleeding out on carpet
Before screaming itself
Through a pulsating portal
To swirling chords and pages
Illicit paintings
On brick mansions
Floating with the abandoned
Messages of faded factions
Long since past
In this cairn of...
