Connected (Single) by Anji Bee now on Bandcamp

I dug up this oldie but goodie from the Anji Bee archive because — once again — the message feels relevant. This simple mantra of a lyric was first inspired by the fledgling podcasting community back in 2008, then resurfaced in 2010 for the Creative Commons community, and now in 2020, it’s here on Bandcamp for the first time as a message for the whole world.

We are connected.

Positive Influence Tee By Youngblood Records

Youngblood Records just released a t-shirt featuring a doodle I drew for my late 80’s straight edge hardcore fanzine, Positive Influence. This was taken from issue #4, released February 1988. It’s a cute caricature of me and partner, Buster, holding up a ‘zine with the word “Scene News.” The first run of this design was on a goldenrod tee, to match the color of this issue’s cover, but this new run in pink is super cute!!! Chillcast #477 – Like I Used To [Stream via Mixcloud]

I’m back after a long hiatus with a very special 90 min mix done old school with actual radio voiceovers between every few tracks. I know some of you will be thrilled to hear the return of “the sexiest voice in podcasting” and others of you will complain that I “ruined” a perfectly good mixtape. I know I can’t please everyone. But, by all means, leave a comment to let me know which side you’re on!

Today’s mix was begun a few months back, so there’s some slightly older 2018 tracks plus several brand new singles I added in this week to keep it fresh. It runs the gamut between underground talent and megastars. I don’t really care, as long as it’s got that certain sexy chill thing I like. Chillcast #479: Eternal Sunshine [K-Pop Spotlight]

For my big return to music podcasting, I put together an hour long spotlight on my recent obsession: K-Pop! I think long time listeners will be pleasantly surprised to find how compatible the genre really is with my show. I’ve discovered so many soulful and funky songs just perusing the most recent releases in the genre, and since I’ve gotten hooked on it, I thought I’d try to turn you onto some of these artists, as well. The Chillin’ with Lovespirals band podcast makes another return! We have so much news to share this episode, including our new album charting pretty heavily, which is super fun.
