Loving Injured Hearts

Sometimes the people we love have been through so many hardships, disappointments, battles, and poor treatment that by the time we meet them, they do not know how to love freely. We look at them and look past the pain. We perceive who we believe they can be, without understanding who they are.
We see their eyes, and we love them.
We see their smile, and we become enamored.
We feel their touch, and we are mesmerized.
But what we cannot see is what they have experienced. We cannot see how often they cry, frown, felt fear, was abandoned or were let down. We believe we can love them through anything and everything. Usually, we pour so much into their wounded souls that we forget what we need and want from the relationship.
Be Willing to Listen
In reality, their hearts are often broken, segmented, or blocked off. We cannot feel their pain, see their nightmares, or understand the feelings they may be to shame or to hurt to share. The best we can do is be willing to listen.
They may shut down at times where we are most vulnerable through no choice of their own. Often, they have built a wall around the deepest parts of their heart and soul, as that is how they learned to survive.
Many will need help and time to free themselves from their past, rescue them from their fears, and help them walk through their issues. With time and adequate treatment, they can develop new pathways to feel safe, be loved, and give love.
Allow Them Time to Heal
We need to give them time to choose if they are ready to heal and encourage them to seek professional help if needed. When we meet people, we need to understand that everyone has been through something that we know nothing about. Love who they are and be willing to step back and give them time to heal.

God Says You Are Always Worthy
You Are Worth More Than You Know
I really hope and pray that you think about the value of your life and those that you love or care about. This virus is not going away anytime soon. Anything that is not life threatening can be done at a later time. There is no party, movie, store sale, or anything else you feel you just have to do worth loosing the quality of your life.
Only God Knows How This Will End
Traveling might be cheaper, airports might be less crowded, but no-one but God knows how this mess will end. The virus does not know who it is affecting, it does not care who it is killing. No one is immune to COVID-19. Even people who had it once or twice and survived may get it again. What if you could be a super spreader without symptoms and affect a child, elderly family member, health compromised neighbor or friend?
God Placed You Here: A Walk to FaithCare About Yourself and Other’s
I do not believe your personal rights are downgraded or weakened by wearing a mask. Your love for humanity and human decency should help you understand the importance of your actions or inactions. Personally, my life is hard enough each day, and I do not need COVID-19. I believe we should all error on the side of caution. You should care, be sensible, and do what you can to stop the spread.
God Says You Are Always Worthy
Even if you don’t fear death, laying in a hospital for 3+ weeks, being intubated, sedated, having a stroke, or having someone else decide if you live or die because you have any “pre-existing diseases,” “are too old,” ”disabled or impaired,” or otherwise less likely to make it; care about who you could affect. We are hearing about those arriving at hospitals who are considered “too fragile”, “not likely to make it”, “a waist of resources” ”not worthy of care.” God says you are always worthy. God says that you always have value, and God says that He always loves you.
When You Hurt, Your Loved Ones Hurt Too
If nothing else will make you care about yourself enough to change your behavior think about the pain and suffering you may cause others you expose. And know that your loved ones will never be the same without you. Your death will break your loved ones heart.
For those who do not believe that COVID-19 is true, or buy into the conspiracy theories that you cannot get it, or its not in your area, I hope you continue to pray for guidance. I have heard from too many family members and friends who know someone that they have lost too COVID-19 or they themselves have had it.
Help Others See the Grace of God
Be safe, healthy, considerate and kind. As a child of God what you do will reflect back on how other’s see our beloved God. Please know that I continue to lift you up in prayer, and I care about you!

Make Notes and Dream Big
Never Stop Learning
A few days ago, I had an epiphany while listening to Siri read a kindle ebook, The Secret Collaborative Economy. This amazing book outlined paths and possibilities for growth and legacy building. For the first time since my vision-impairment, I understand how much I had been limiting my life. I indeed have challenges, health issues, and other factors that make me feel boxed in and stuck. But this book opened my mind to the possibility of achieving more with what I have.
Make Notes and Dream Big
I made notes, paused Siri, highlighted, and bookmarked sections that need my action and more development in my mind. I listened to the book twice. Some areas, like chapter four, were so comprehensive, fascinating, and extraordinary, that I stopped reading. Let the information sync in and envisioned new options for myself and my family.
Prepare for the Life You Want
I picked The Secret Collaborative Economy book up the following evening when I knew my mind was free to absorb the business, marketing, and management education that I almost missed by not reading this book sooner. I don’t believe my virtually crossing paths with Mrs. Marsha Wright was a coincidence. I had been dreaming of twitter for three years. When my son set the account up, I was beyond excited.
It was a struggle getting started, but soon I met many people like myself, impaired, but still trying. Twitter is everything I dreamed of and more. I have met all types of people from all over the world. The hashtags are fascinating, and they allow you to choose your news and information. There are movements of incredible people who help you reach the world with your messages and your dreams.
Find Your Place and Your People
It truly is a big world, and thanks to the hashtag #ThinkBigSundayWithMarsha, I have learned where my people are. They are learning, sharing, growing, loving, and lifting each other. If you get the chance to venture on Twitter, check out Marsha Wright, follow her page and her movement. You will enjoy the positivity, and I am sure you could use a bigger dream too.

An Invitation to Love
An Invitation to Love
Each time I think our society has hit the bottom of hatred, I am stunned to learn of an even lower level. As a mother, I cannot understand what lives in a person that would allow them to raise children to hate, let alone give them the ability to find satisfaction in beating, torturing, or murdering anyone?
We Must Value Life
What makes a person so evil that they do not value human life? How do they walk into a church on Sunday and stand before their Reverend, Preacher, or Minister, etc. and profess to love Christ; while knowing and acting upon their genuine hatred for some of God’s children?
How do murderers say a prayer and speak to a loving God knowing that they continue to spill the blood of His beloved children? How does one separate their heinous actions from their love and devotion to God?
My Heart Hurts for Humanity
At this point, I am no longer shocked. I am disgusted at the unnecessary deaths. My heart hurts for the victims, their families, and even the perpetrators. Because somewhere in their life, they were told that the value of human life is zero. They have no connection to ”love thy neighbor,” nor do they understand ”it takes a village.” For many conventional morals or social norms are not considered.
As a child of God, I walk in love. I lift God up every day and freely share His love and His grace. If we ever meet in person, I will respect you and welcome you as my sister or my brother. If you have a need and I can help, I will.
We All Experience Life Differently
I hold no judgment or ill will toward anyone. I understand that people have different experiences, and I also know that we can rise above hate, anger, fear, poverty, abuse, bigotry, and anything else we choose. We all make mistakes and poor choices, yet we are born of God’s love.
Forgiveness and Understanding Are Crucial
A person you never met has done nothing physically to hurt you. What if we all could look past a person’s skin color and value their heart, kindness, God-given talents, and love? Where would that hatred go? Do some have the need to cause pain because they have been hurt? Is it the need to place the blame on someone else for what they believe they cannot control or achieve? I wish I had the answers.
Embrace and Love Humanity
Some of us have known prejudice. Some have felt the pain of bigotry. Others may have once been the one perpetrating the offense or injustice. Today is a new day. We have unique abilities, choices, and we can see the difference between right and wrong. We can learn what is good or bad. We do not need to let past generation’s teachings, behavior, choices, or atrocities dictate how we live and interact with each other.
No matter what you may have done in your past, I invite you to embrace love and to completely abandon hate.
I used voice text to send this, so please disregard any misspellings. Wishing you love, joy and peace!
