New Poetry book to be called "Psychedelic Knucklehead"

psychedelic knucklehead

sirens outside my window
my reflection in a doorknob
all wobbly and weird
i try to slap a fly
but he sees me coming
with his two million eyes
and zips away
before i can smash
him to oblivion
as the cat sleeps
happily on the clean sheets
and piled laundry
spread across the bed

The kind of Poems I've been writing lately

repugnant

my true heart
is filled with
sympathy
empathy
love and compassion
and it is only when
i supress these qualities
in an attempt to appear
tough and masculine
that i become
truly repugnant

The Face of Mental Illness

CrimethInc dumped me because I sent them a series of alarming and abusive emails in 2008 during one of my periodic episodes of craziness and I am sure they figured, "Who needs this?"

Michael Crichton, I am not

Writing mad scientist dialogue for "Rise of Chupacabras" and I am finding it incredibly difficult to write from an educated, intelligent person's point of view. Michael Crichton I am not. My understanding of science is laughably primitive.

Romance?

In my novels I sidestep romance like it was a puddle of cat puke on the carpet.I don't believe that human beings enmeshed in the sort of desperate situations I toss them into would have time for lovey dovey.

kindle and other e-books

working on getting books out on kindle within the next few weeks/months. revised and revisited versions of all three of my poetry books and maybe a new book of poems too.

Haven't really written too much poetry in the past few years. Been concentrating on improving my prose. But I do have at least a hundred or so new poems and someday I will put them out.

doomsday reaction

I guess the world ended yesterday and I didn't even notice.
