are worth dying for.

Ultimate Justice
K-9 Special Ops Book 3
by Tee O’ Fallon
Genre: Thriller, Romantic Suspense

Some truths are worth dying for.
While tracking down an escaped felon, FBI Special Agent Evan McGarry and his
K-9, Blue, uncover a smoking hot lead on the location of dozens of missing
children―including Evan’s own sister. The shocking discovery reopens cold cases
throughout Colorado, along with painful wounds and the heartbreaking guilt
Evan’s kept buried for decades.
Three years ago, hospital custodian Marlie Foxe’s world imploded, causing her
to cut herself off from the world. But when one of the missing boys turns up at
her hospital, he only allows Marlie to get close. Now, Evan needs her help with
the boy―and he won’t take no for an answer. When she finally agrees to work
with him, Evan suspects there’s more to the woman than she’s letting on. She’s
hiding something. The question is what.
As Evan and Marlie unearth a cult targeting runaways, they’re forced to
confront not only dangerous criminals but the truths they’ve both been
avoiding―including the blistering passion they can no longer deny. But when
more children disappear, they’ll have to risk more than just their hearts.

Ashes on the Wind:
The Love Story Behind the Crime of the Century
by Brandy Purdy
Genre: Dark Historical LGBTQ Romantic Suspense, True Crime
Nathan “Babe” Leopold was a socially awkward geniuswho used arrogance as a shield. He cultivated a philosophy of absolute
selfishness cherry-picked from his reading of Nietzsche and indulged himself
with vivid sexual fantasies about kings and slaves.Richard “Dickie” Loeb was the brightest of the bright young things, a
social butterfly as fragile as glass inside, hiding his insecurities behind a
dazzling smile and a mouthful of lies. He found escape in thrilling tales and
fantasies of crime. They were two brilliant and privileged boys, each harboring secrets it would
have been social suicide to reveal in their 1920s world. When Babe met Dickie, it was like his favorite fantasy had stepped out of his
dreams into real life. When Dickie met Babe, he thought he had found the accomplice who would help
make his criminal dreams come true.Dickie was willing to give Babe what he wanted, if Babe would give him what he
wanted. Quid pro quo. Until Dickie wanted something more, leaving Babe
desperate and willing to do anything to hold onto his dream. Even if it led

The Adventures of Jack Wartnose

What started as a simple quest for a
lost, arcane artifact has left Jack Wartnose confronting the family sins and
trauma of his past. But which will he find first: redemption or the apocalypse?

The Condemned Mage
The Adventures of Jack Wartnose Book 4
By A.S. Norris
Genre: Noblebright Fantasy Adventure
“…another
captivating read that left me eager for the next installment in Jack Wartnose’s
saga, and I’d certainly recommend it and the series so far to fantasy fans
everywhere.” – Readers’ Favorite, 5 Stars
The enemy of my enemy is my ally. But can Jack Wartnose really trust his former
paramour-turned-unlikely-ally to not attempt to kill him again?
On the run from a certified death sentence, Jack Wartnose and his family
attempt to quietly flee southward, hoping to avoid the Murder of Crows’
assassins. Unfortunately, their hopes are soon dashed when Polyxena, the
now-disgraced Crow, and her twin boys inadvertently cross their path. He cannot
trust to take her along as a hostage, but nor can he trust to turn his back on
her, as he did before, and not end up knifed for his troubles. Or worse.
Elsewhere in the kingdom, the first skirmishes in a greater war between magedom
and the elusive dark lord have taken place. Foul creatures and equally foul
deeds shatter the peace and leave a bloody wake that only threatens to grow
worse the longer Jack Wartnose remains free to roam. And, unbeknownst to Jack
Wartnose, a new threat looms to the east, waiting to ambush him and his family.
As those hunting for his head increases, Jack Wartnose will need to choose
which is more important: his unbreakable word to complete his quest and find
the Tome of Time, or his unbreakable bonds in protecting his ever-growing
family.
THE CONDEMNED MAGE: THE ADVENTURES OF JACK WARTNOSE is book four of an
award-winning epic, noblebright fantasy novel series that promises thrilling
sword-and-sorcery adventure with plenty of humor and romance.

The Hunted Mage
The Adventures of Jack Wartnose Book 3
“…a superbly engaging tale of
suspense, family dynamics, and vengeance, all with the classic witty touches
and vibrant characters that I have come to expect from this excellent
series.” – Readers’ Favorite
They say a group of Crows is a “Murder.” For Jack
Wartnose, if he’s not careful, murder is exactly what will befall him and his
family.
Finally free of the clutches of the Mage Inquisition and undead cutthroats once
again, Jack Wartnose’s troubles soon catch back up as a group of mage
assassins, the Murder of Crows, has been dispatched to eliminate him and his
troupe. One cunning beauty among them has “intimate” knowledge of Jack
Wartnose, and looks forward to repaying him for setting her on the path to ruin
years ago.
Meanwhile, he and his family get stuck in the backwater town of Downriver
Ferry. More family secrets come to light, while the Murder stalk him from the
shadows. Old faces reemerge with intentions unknown. New faces threaten to
reignite a three millennia old blood feud. And his estranged daughter is still
plotting her deadly vengeance behind Wartnose’s back.
The quiet, backwater town of Downriver Ferry is about to erupt! Can Jack
Wartnose keep his wits about him as he confronts threats on multiple fronts?
Will his family and fellow adventurers be strong enough to protect him? Or will
he receive help in time from an unlikeliest of sources?
Continue the adventures of Jack Wartnose and his
crew in THE HUNTED MAGE, Book 3 of the award-winning epic, noblebright
fantasy The Adventures of Jack Wartnose series that promises
thrilling sword-and-sorcery adventure with plenty of humor, romance, and heart.

The Forbearing Mage
The Adventures of Jack Wartnose Book 2

“The Forbearing Mage is a fun,
fast-paced fantasy adventure that is equal parts clever, entertaining and
rich.” – Maincrest Media
They say blood is thicker than water. Unfortunately, if Jack Wartnose is not
careful, it will be his blood proving that axiom!
Still on the trail of the Tome of
Time, novice Mage Jack Wartnose is confronted by another spectre of his past –
Margaret Stormgale, his estranged and vengeful daughter. When she’s not
hounding him with her razor-tongue wit, she’s hunting him with her mother’s
razor-sharp spear!
But if grappling with the sins of his past wasn’t perilous enough, the
disdainful eye of the Inquisition draws down upon him and his quest. And who
should be at the tip of the Inquisition’s spear but yet another of Wartnose’s
former “acquaintances.”
With all eyes bearing down upon him, can Jack Wartnose continue his quest for
not only the Tome of Time, but for atonement? Or will he fall victim to one of
the many foes set against him: his estranged daughter, a jilted Inquisition
lover, his suspicious superiors at the Mage Council, a sinister figure now
shadowing his quest for the tome… or his none-to-pleased wife?
Continue the
adventures of Jack Wartnose and his crew in THE FORBEARING MAGE, Book 2 of THE
ADVENTURES OF JACK WARTNOSE a low fantasy novel series that promises thrilling
sword-and-sorcery adventure with clean humor and romance.

The Wayward Mage
The Adventures of Jack Wartnose Book 1
…[T]his, fellow readers is how you make
gold in a literary hero’s journey, and The Wayward Mage by A.S. Norris is
gold.” – Readers’ Favorite Review
For many, marriage is the end of adventuring. For Jack
Wartnose, it was just another occupational hazard he didn’t plan for…much like
his son!
As
a novice Mage, Jack Wartnose’s life was already difficult enough: low pay, long
hours, and an arcane duty to always keep his word. But when a chance encounter
with his long-lost childhood sweetheart – and the consequences of his youthful
wayward actions – leaves him duty-bound to fulfill a promise long since
forgotten, he’s left with no choice but to take his fledgling family with him
on his dangerous quest for the Tome of Time: a legendary artifact rumored to
have started the last world-ending cataclysm.
As if his luck wasn’t bad enough, there are also revenant assassins from his
past hunting him down. If his family hopes to stay together this time, they’ll
need more than just quick wits and spells to survive bloodthirsty monsters,
vengeful revenants, mutinous party members, the needs of his wife versus his
empty coin purse, and a son unfortunately following in his wayward footsteps.
What started as a simple quest for a lost, arcane artifact has left Jack
Wartnose with this simple question: which will he find first, redemption or the
apocalypse?
THE WAYWARD MAGE: THE
ADVENTURES OF JACK WARTNOSE is book one of an award-winning epic, noblebright
fantasy novel series that promises thrilling sword-and-sorcery adventure with
plenty of humor and romance

Award-winning
author A.S. Norris is a bit of an adventurer himself, having sailed three
oceans and traveled four continents, with some highlights including scuba
diving at the Great Barrier Reef, drinking cobra venom, and kissing the Blarney
Stone. Now his life consists of adventures as a family man with his lovely wife
and spirited baby daughter. THE ADVENTURES OF JACK WARTNOSE is his first novel
series with more coming in the near future!

came from? What exactly is expected of you?”
Living a double life isn’t easy. Don’t smile too wide, be careful others might
see. Don’t show your other side. Forget where you came from. Forget what they
did to you… what they made you. It’s a terrible and often terrifying balancing
act to pretend to be what you’re not. Rejecting himself for what he wanted most
Bay Haven found himself enticed into an average life attending a traditional

what he isn’t… normal.
But as time passes and the frayed edges of who he really is begins to attract

Cruiser Dreams . . . She is heir to an empire
beyond all imagining, where interstellar cruisers have become increasingly

In this epic of political treachery,
interstellar security, human passion, and artificial intelligence, Morris
continues the saga of the fiery girl Shebat, stolen away from a decaying and
primitive Earth to be the adoptive heir to the Kerrion Empire. Molded to serve
the designs of the Kerrion state, Shebat instead becomes the harbinger of
change sweeping the civilized stars.
Against the chaotic background of simultaneous
social and technological revolutions, Shebat finds that the man she loves is
her implacable enemy, that the man she reluctantly married is perhaps her
single ally, and that her space-faring cruiser may be her only true friend.

Neither pure fantasy, nor straight science

appeal to men and women equally; full of action, compulsively readable and
quite unlike anything being published in the realms of fantasy today.

book-length works of non-fiction, as well as papers and articles on nonlethal

Janet says: ‘People often ask what book to read first. I
recommend “I, the Sun” if you like ancient history; “The Sacred
Band,” a novel, if you like heroic fantasy; “Lawyers in Hell” if
you like historical fantasy set in hell; “Outpassage” if you like
hard science fiction; “High Couch of Silistra” if you like far-future
dystopian or philosophical novels. I am most enthusiastic about the definitive
Perseid Press Author’s Cut editions, which I revised and expanded.’

Read an Excerpt
He stood at the foot of the stairs for a good minute before summoning the courage to climb them. Pausing on the landing, he looked up. The light in the attic had gone off.
But the lightbulb was broken, he remembered. Someone left it on, and now it’s flickering, he told himself.
He knew he could not go to sleep until he saw for himself that he was right, so with a deep breath, he pushed himself to keep climbing. By the time he reached the top, the light was on again.
A cold sweat broke out along his hairline.
He walked inside. The room was large and monstrously cluttered, full of old furniture belonging to Aunt Willie, and scores of boxes the Thompsons had not had time to unpack yet. He glanced around the place, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
He stood still for a bit, listening intently. Finally, he heard something; soft, yet insistent tapping.
Bats, he remembered. But bats don’t tap. Do they?
“Is someone here?” he asked. He meant to sound calm, but his voice trembled.
At that very moment, to his horror, he heard it; a low, drawn-out whisper.
“Welcome.” A faint echo lingered in the air.
“Mom! Dad!” Timmy tried calling; all he could produce was a hoarse murmur.
“Come to me,” the breathy voice sighed, closer to his ear. He spun around, expecting to see someone, but only his own reflection stared back at him from the window.

EXCERPT
I may be small, but I am fierce. At least that’s what I keep telling myself. Over and over again. Fierce.
“Charyeot,” the taekwondo tournament referee says in Korean. Attention.
I snap my arms to my sides.
“Kyeong-nae,” the ref says. Bow.
I turn to face my opponent, Dax Washington. His dark skin glistens with sweat. We dip our heads.
I look up to see Dax towering over me, his eyes stormy.
It suddenly occurs to me how much “fierce” sounds like “fears.” Not that I’m scared or anything. I’m not.
“Sijak!” The ref throws up his hand. Begin! Immediately Dax’s large fists hammer down like a hailstorm.
Well, maybe I’m a little worried.
Dax lunges. I block his front kick with my forearm. I flinch and reel back. The ref blows his whistle, but Dax doesn’t stop. I barely have time to move before—oof—another kick nails me in the elbow.
Okay, fine. I’m totally panicking.

Q & A With A.Y. Chan
When writing descriptions of your hero/ine, what feature do you start with?
With my heroine, Mo Seto, I started with her energy. Even before I have a clear picture of what she looks like physically, I had this fuzzy impression of her vibe and her personality (with the words fierce, stubborn, dynamic running through my head). I let this energy set the tone for who Mo is and how she navigates the world, and I worked to capture that inner spark that makes her unique.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I’m a hybrid between a plotter and a pantser. I need some idea of where I’m taking my story and a loose outline to follow. But I often stray from it, treating it more like flexible guidelines rather than a strict roadmap. It’s like having flags that change direction with the wind, rather than a path carved in stone.
Did you learn anything from writing this book? If so, what?
Absolutely, writing The Legendary Mo Seto taught me the true value of perseverance. There were many moments of self-doubt and frustration when the story didn’t come together as I hoped. But I learned that pushing through those tough times is essential. Sticking with it, even when the challenges felt insurmountable, helped me grow both as a writer and as a person. It showed me that perseverance isn’t just about finishing a project—it’s about continuing to move forward, one step at a time, despite the obstacles.
What is your favorite meal?
My favorite meal is a big bowl of soupy noodles with extra chili sauce. The savory broth, tender noodles, and the slurpy-ness of it all make it so incredibly satisfying. It’s my go-to comfort food and never fails to lift my spirits. Plus, it reminds me of cozy, comforting meals from my childhood, making it even more special.

race called the Sominids, who came here for the express purpose of drinking and
having sex with everyone they could. When one of their infamous parties
resulted in the moon being cut in half and killing everyone who happened to
live there, they quietly left. Their encounter with the Sominids had taught the
human race many things, primarily that faster-than-light travel did not exist.
Denied the stars, the human race began to dwindle in numbers and terminate all
of their space programs.
A thousand years later, a scientist named Edward Q. Rohta
circumvented anti-AI laws, laws which had been on the books for millennia, by
creating organic creatures to provide manual labor. Instead of dying after ten
years, as promised in the company brochure, they would develop flu-like
symptoms and go into hiding. Eventually, fed up with the mistreatment they
suffered at the hands of humans, they rose up and killed every man, woman, and
child on the planet. This is the story of what happens next. The Brittle
Riders; Apocalypses are funny that way.
A very unique tone and world, reminiscent of GUARDIANS OF
THE GALAXY meets a MAGNIFICENT SEVEN/DIRTY DOZEN – type setup, but with a look,
flavor, and lexicon all its own. In a world where studios and streamers are
looking for IP that’s expansive, both narratively and in terms of ancillary
possibilities (prequels, offshoots, video games, etc.), (The Brittle Riders)
certainly seems to offer up a number of possibilities. – Garrick Dion –
