HALLOWEEN RITUAL
All Hallows Eve is a sacred time to honor and communicate with our beloved ones (and others) who have passed on to the other side, the other world, Heaven, Nirvana, Slumberland - the Universal Flow.
Much more than a fun time to dress up (old tradition of hiding from unwanted spirits). It's an psychic energetic time to open your mind's eye to see beyond the physical into the unseen world of the dead.
Read this wonderful, sacred ritual for communicating with your loved ones on the other side as the veil tonight (Halloween) drops. Blessed be.

Excerpt from my ebook, How to Talk With Spirits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Hunts. Available Amazon and Smashwords, Barnes and Noble. 2017 paperback edition will be available.

TRANSITION PHYSICAL TO SPIRIT TO UNIVERSE
I AM NOT THERE. I AM IN THE SKY, THE STARS...
Excerpt from my ebook, "How to Talk with Spirits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Huntsby June Ahern
I'm a lucky author! Three five star Amazon reviews in one day for my books, How to Talk to Spirit and The Timeless Counselor.
This is to be included in my second edition, both ebook and paperback, January 2017.
Chapter 4Afterlife
I learned more about what transition of the spirit from communication with my sister who died in 2010 than from any book. About the fourth year after her death I called on her by name. She took a couple of days to respond and told me she no longer was known by that name. She didn’t tell me what name to call her other than “sister”. In late 2015 she awoke me in the early hours of the to give me a message. It was information I never knew about spirit transformation. My sister showed me how her entire being as I had known her that is the physical person I knew, had separated into energetic cells. The cells appeared like sparks of light or little shooting stars. They integrated with all matter in the sky––the entire universe. There was a sense, not words or images, that my sister was everywhere in nature. She had become The All. It was awe-inspiring. To the very core of my own cells, I experienced the power and vision of The All Divine. What my sister expressed through thought and images reminded me of the bereavement poem, Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep, by Mary Frye (1931). In it Ms. Fry asks those grieving her not stand at her grave and weep for she is not there, she does not sleep. Further in the poem she says where her spirit will be found:
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow.I am the sunlight on ripened grain.I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush,I am the swift, uplifting rushOf quiet birds in circling flight.I am the soft starlight at night.Do not stand at my grave and weep.I am not there, I do not sleep.
Along with the new spiritual awareness my sister gave me she also revealed in time her cells would reunite coming back (reincarnate) into form known to us as the physical body. This new body would be made up of renewed energy within the DNA, that being healthier cells. Her spirit will also be a new energy along with new karma. (to be cont'd)

SELF-PUBLISH AUTHOR'S TRIAL BY FIRE
clack clack, creation of thoughts are in progress
Indie authors Be brave. Be bold. Be confident.
Be an independent thinker!
I call my decision to become independent author trial by fire, hooping from one hot coal of errors, fears, and uncertainties. With good luck and some practical steps I arrived to the cool ground of reward –– happy readers and the sale of books.
Self-publishing has been a wondrous, challenging, and at times disappointing journey. I've met people across the United States and through emails and social media book readers from other countries.
In reflection I’m not surprised at my decision to become an independent author and happy to know my decision joined me with other brave self publishing authors, writers who knew their writings would have an audience: James Joyce (Ulysses), Beatrix Potter (The Adventures of Peter Rabbit) and many other well-known writers I’ve enjoyed; Zane Grey, Upton Sinclair, Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay, Mark Twain to name but a few.
My adventurous and curious spirit of looking down the rabbit hole motivated me to give writing and publishing a try. I think of myself as a rather independent person. The last thing I want to hear is, “You can’t do that!” and “That won’t work.” My impatience was the guiding force to self-publish. I didn't bother looking for an agent until all my books were selling. The thought of delay with hopeful wishing for an agent and/or publisher to tell me my book was good enough to publish, interesting enough to sell, didn’t appeal to me.
I freely admit I’ve committed acts of wrong doings as an author according to those in the writing publishing world that know best.I could say mea culpa three times and vow not to err again, but no doubt I’d backslide and commit some other editing, formatting or whatever blunders acceptable to the publishing and writing world.
My decision with my latest non-fiction was blasted by a reviewer as placing the Q&A as a first chapter. Not done! she her review screamed. No, it's done I thought, which was supported when I read Carol Burnett asks her audience what's most enjoyable and important to them BEFORE her show begins. She then gives it them. I knew what my audience would want because the questions came from many who were interested in that book.
Although, some decisions and errors have caused grueling angst. For instance when hiring editors and especially proofreaders don't be impatient. Ask for referrals, look at what they've worked on. I sure wish I had. The saying " the buck stops here" will ring true when reviewers find errors.
It wasn't my intention to entertain the masses, or become famous (the thought has lingered in my fantasy at times) when I wrote a book. In fact all four of my books were written upon a request and advice from another. My first, a non-fiction parapsychology consumer’s guide, self-published in 1990, was written to advance my profession and it did. It became a true group effort of supportive friends bumbling through the publishing process. The woman who suggested and encouraged it lent me an old clumsy PC, a friend went through my written notes and attempt at putting it on a computer so she could straighten the words into some sense. My mother helped me write it, and a professional proofreader client traded services. It was printed quite economically at a small San Francisco publishing business, stapled (yes big staples) after hours at a Kinko copy shop because the friend owed me a favor, and put together by a group of eager friends in my basement to the beat of Motown and salsa music accompanied by pizza and wine.
Each book thereafter continued to be a group effort, although more professional, effort. I hired editors, proofreaders (not always do their job correctly by the way), graphic designers and a self-publishing company.
My advise to fellow writers is to not follow my crooked path, rather save yourself stress and money and keep at bay potentially bad reviews. Before publishing make sure your book is in shipshape order. You can do this by sharing the process with those more learned than yourself. But the bottom line will be decide what really is best for you, fellow writers, when it comes time to self publish or look for an agent.
About marketing - probably the hardest part of majority of authors - don't put your work out into the world if you're thinned skinned, don't think everyone will love it, and especially prepare to market your product if you hope to at least make your money back. One of the best marketing advice I heard is, books don't sell themselves, authors sell books. Get out there, talk it up when possible, ask for reviews. Good luck. Have fun.

Perfect read for All Hallows Eve coming up! Followed by Day of The Dead.Great Ritual for that time included in book along with an ESP Quiz.Read excerpt of ritual below:* * *
HALLOWEEN, A SPOOKY good time and all for amusement, right?
The night is much more than just for fun. All Hallows Eve or Halloween and November First, are sacred times for many throughout the world to honor the dead. The Celts and Mexicans honor their elderly, ancestors, and the dead with special rituals and celebrations on those days. The Catholic Church combined the pagan beliefs with their own to create a day to honor the saints on November first. Celtic pagans believed the veils between the two worlds of the living and dead thinned or dropped so spirits could walk the earth to visit their living relatives before crossing back over to the “underworld.”
The spirits were not only our loved ones, but also all spirits who want to walk the earth, feel alive and connected to the living.
During the spirits’ visit, spooky things happened, as you can imagine. The Celts disguised themselves to waylay troublesome or evil spirits so they wouldn’t recognize and haunt people. Tradition warned people, especially the elderly, the sick and the young, to stay safely hidden inside so they wouldn’t be grabbed and taken to the underworld. This is a good time to invite spirits you want to visit your home. You can prepare for visiting spirits with these two welcoming rituals. One is more elaborate and the other simple. You can do all or a bit of each. Design a ritual to best suit your interest and need. No matter which you choose to do, both are a lovely way to remember your loved ones and feel their presence.
Before it is dark on Halloween get a photograph of the deceased you would like to visit and a pen in perhaps their favorite color. You’ll also need paper, flowers and incense of your choice. Also gather white, black and orange candles. The white candle is for protection and to receive clear visions.
The black candle is for the mystical, spiritual unknown, and the orange one for the season’s color of renewal. Have a burning vessel (ashtray or cauldron,) matches to light your incense and candles, and a full lipped glass or bowl of water.

CHINATOWN SAN FRANCISCO GHOST WALK

This ghost hunt preceded Matthew Abaya's scary (and sometimes funny) Indie film, "Vamparah" debuting at the city's Chinatown's historical building, The Great Star Theatre. The history alone, albeit the paranormal activity, is infamous and famous - suspicious death, gambling, and lots of drama plus Chinese opera.
The inside is old. Funky - original seats, stage curtains, old haunted bathroom, but excellent to get 'that feel' - know what I mean?
Come along with me and others as we encounter paranormal activity. Youtube: https://youtu.be/coyG_KTb9YY via @YouTube

A bit about the history.

FRIENDLY GHOST or SCARY HEADLESS HORSEMAN?

Will You see Casper the Friendly Ghost or The Headless Horseman?
Excerpt from Chapter 2, Questions From the Curious Living in my book, How to Talk With Spirits: Séances•Mediums•Ghost Hunts

I’ve heard you talk about spirits and ghosts. Is there a difference?
To me there is a difference. Although a ghost is the spirit or energy of a person, it has not gone onto a place of peaceful rest. Rather it lingers on Earth reliving the same scene over and over long after it has left the physical body.
They are stuck in time and space and the aspects of their deaths. Ghost (and spirits too) can be a floating white wisp of a cloud or a bolt of energy shooting along a darkened corridor. Since ghosts aren’t able to let go of the physical plane they appear to more people than spirits do.

Then again there are some spirits who just liked their earth time and decide to stay for whatever reason they believe is right. I encountered one such ghost in an alley in San Francisco Barbary Coast district.
A couple of my own ghost stories ended rather well. Both were murder victims. Many years ago before I became truly involved with, or understood, my medium abilities, I encountered a young woman named Sandy (not her real name) who was murdered execution style. Sandy’s untimely death only informed me she was shot.
(Story con’t with my police investigation in How to Talk With Spirits: Séances•Mediums•Ghost Hunts available Amazon and Smashwords )
Walk with me through this infamous historical building in San Francisco before it was razed as seen on Youtube.

LEAVE A LEGACY
BE A STORYTELLER
I LOVE TO TELL A STORY, DON'T YOU?
Your life holds an interest to family now and in the future. Future generations will enjoy learning about how life was "back in the day" (when you lived) and some most likely identify themselves with you.
Leave your legacy
I recommend you journal about your life as a youngster, young to middle-aged adult and when the time comes, a senior. Tell about your first memory, how you felt going to school, about what you liked, were good at, not so good at and talk about your health. It's good to know what makes up our ancestors, body, mind, heart and spirit.
In time to come when I no longer walk this earth those of my future family will know some facts about me. I emigrated from Glasgow, Scotland at six years of age with my six brother and sisters. I grew up in San Francisco. Many jobs from waitress, bartender, to blue collar union labor. Later, by life's design from afar I, successfully for forty years, conducted business as a psychic/medium. I'm an author of four books. Each hold a piece of my personal values and outlook of life at various stages. In them I share some of my history, in both my fictional stories and non-fiction books. My paranormal and parapsychology books reveal my psychic life as a professional readers and medium: the joys, wins and tribulations, my work with the police and meeting ghosts and spirits.
My first book, a consumer's guide, non-fiction "The Timeless Counselor: The Best Guide to a Successful Psychic Reading", opened up doors to a different level professionally. I was on the TV show, "People Are Talking" as well as many a radio talk interview. The other non-fiction is the a popular glimpse into the paranormal world, "How to Talk with Spirits: Seances, Medium, Ghost Hunts." Many of my personal experiences with spirits and ghosts are told in it such as my Jamaican bone-chilling encounter with low-grade entities. The interesting history lessons learned from leftover ghosts in old buildings often validated by records.
In the future there might be a child born into my family who has psychic abilities like me and my words can guide and comfort her/his grandmother, great-mother etc was as she/he is. My family can also enjoy seeing me live as I ghost investigator (Youtube -- if it's around) for The Haunted Bay and Beyond.
My first novel, "The Skye in June" is about a psychic child, a little girl, and the challenges she must face. It also includes history about Glasgow, Scotland and being an immigrant. San Francisco during the 1950's and early days of the changing environs in the '60's.
A goal is "The Skye in June" will become an audio book before I depart this planet. Many readers have asked for it. They want to hear the Scottish burr, enjoy the slang of the '50's, learn about San Francisco's "The Castro" before it was coined so.
Do you know the proper name of that district? The famous store in that area? It's all in the story. The movie theater still thriving where most the neighborhood children spent on Saturdays? On Amazon.com you can read a sample of the book.
My second novel, "City of Redemption", also opens in Glasgow, Scotland 1966 before moving onto groovy San Francisco, 1967. I wrote it as a screenplay for a Scottish actress I met in Hollywood (yes, actually that part of L.A. area). Afterward, I created a novel from the screenplay. The dark underbelly of the Summer of Love is exposed with Blank Panthers, sex, murder, and rock n' roll, of course! This too is a historical fiction and my future generation relatives will see how life was for me as a young woman growing up in at that time.
As I say, I was a product of my environment. Let the future family decide what they means for themselves.
What about you? What history of your life will you leave your future family? You can print a few copies or leave an ebook. It will become part of your legacy.
Take time to start your personal history book for telling your story has meaning.

GLOWING AURA TELLS ABOUT WELL-BEING
The Skye in June
I've had quite a few photographs taken over the years of my aura via Kirlian photography. One time even of my dog.
Auras readings give a lot of information about a person's well-being and/or conditions, moods. Reading an aura can inform or remind a person about any health issue.
Auras tell about the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energy not only in people, but animals and nature. The energy can be seen in objects too as in a piece of jewelry.
I read the "energy" of places - the essence, the aura - and often find if a spirit is in the place.
Here's one of my aura photographs. What do you read about my well-being and condition? My thoughts below, but first note your own.
In my novel, "The Skye in June", the main character, a child, reads auras.
About my read on the photograph above: the blueish/greenish on my right side and close to my head, tells I am accepting of the "voices" I receive during readings. Voices that give my personal information about a person I've never met before. The white on my left side is my great imagination as well as psychic energy that is divinely guided by a spiritual source outside my own intelligence - or mental understanding. This photo was taken during a most advancing time in my career as a psychic/medium and author. Because it is close to my physical self I was very involved with, and actively advancing my knowledge and meeting people from many parts of the US and the world.

Journey Through Natural & Spiritual Laws Governing Our Universe

A Journey Through the Natural and Spiritual Laws that Govern Our Universe by Larry Anthenien.
As a Rosicrucian (see many languages to chose from) I find their thoughts, lessons and idealism to match much of my own.
The topic the speaker shares most interesting facts and ideas on the universe. Unfortunately it won't be videoed. Maybe in the not too distant future.
When: Saturday, August 27, 2016 1:30 - 3:00 PM (doors open at 1 p.m. for light refreshments & social time).
Where: Cultural Integration Fellowship Center, 2650 Fulton at 3rd Avenue (entry on ground level 3rd Ave) San Francisco, CA
Free Admission / Public Welcome / Refreshments served
Weather permitting, Larry will be guiding us through celestial viewing of surrounding stars and constellations a with laser pointer, telescopes and binoculars. The old premise "As Above, so Below" applies not only to life on planet Earth, but the universe of billions of galaxies and stars. As understood by ancient civilizations such as the Inca's, Mayan and Egyptian cultures of the past, they presented us with a sacred reverence and understanding of the life giving energy of our Sun. That all creation on Mother Earth has a harmonic symbiosis relationship often referred to ancient Egyptian writings and mystery schools as RA and MA, connecting with the masculine and feminine elements. Within this physical being of star dust resides the potential in each of us to connect with the inner self or "Master Within".
Featured Speaker: Larry Anthenien is a long-time member of AMORC with a vast knowledge and background of astronomy including research and affiliations with several prestigious organizations including "The Planetary Society" co-founded by the late Dr. Carl Sagan. Larry is also a world
